We have used this company for over 20 yrs but this time we were not impressed ! At Malaga airport we were asked to put our luggage in the trailer . On arrival at the counter the car was given to us promptly but we were not shown to the car and had to go over to find it. The car was not overly clean inside and in week 2 we had to add oil as the light came on, should gone been checked before we were given car, The car was ok but on returning the car we were told we had exceeded the mileage but on further checking by the manager he assured us we were ok and hadn't gone over. Generally we feel the company has grown rapidly over the years and that personal service we once used to receive has now gone. We will use another company next time to rent our car .

I rented a vehicle from MalagaCar and experienced a very serious safety incident when the braking system failed suddenly during normal driving. The company responded once to my complaint, explaining that the issue was attributed to a brake vacuum pump failure and offering their apologies. However, no responsibility or liability for the failure was taken, and no meaningful follow‑up, documentation, or resolution was provided afterwards.
The incident was extremely frightening. Effective braking was not available in practical terms, and the car was brought to a stop only through emergency measures and luck. As tourists, this left us in a particularly vulnerable position—on unfamiliar roads, far from home, and completely dependent on the safety of the rental vehicle.
The psychological impact has been significant. The experience has left me with lasting fear related to driving and post‑traumatic stress symptoms. While regret was expressed, the absence of accountability and the seriousness of such a safety failure raise real concerns about tourist safety.

I have used this company for more than 30 years always picked the car up full with fuel and return it full of fuel. This time no fuel and at 1.30am trying to find a garage open was difficult. Who on earth provides a car with no fuel disgusting. Stick with the major brands I say Avis etc

we upgraded the car slightly and had a Kia instead of the basic car. It was clean tidy and like new inside and out! Dropping off was easy the instructions were clear no con or suprises when you get there we will use them again. hence the 5 starts HOWEVER,

When collecting the car we went straight to where the car hire mini busses were pulling up. There was a very small queue forming (We were one of the first off the plane). This is where we went wrong, we went around the queue to look for the specific "Malagacar" mini bus lots of mini busses pulling up. there was a guy with no sign no logo on his clothes apart from a very small one hidden by his hood. He was in bright orange think Easyjet! he kept looking at us, but didn't spaek. after 15 minutes the mini busses pulled up as the mini bus was pulling up he shouted to us "go to the back of the queue!" By which time, everyone else had joined it.
It took about 30 mins to now get on the mini bus so 45 mins in total and of course, when we reached malagacar we were then again at the back of a very long queue!

So collecting the car took well over an hour not ideal with two kids a disabled wife who can't stand for long at 2AM.

To say i was annoyed at the member of staff who clearly could see we were looking for the Malagacar mini bus as he shouted as soon as it pulled up was an understatement! We did speak to him about this at the time and he just said "I don't know you were waiting did I"

What a shame one memeber of staff ruined what actually was a really good service provided.

You need a sign up saying queue here, The uniform to clearly show your logo and the staff to speak at the airport!!

Pretty easy to get to from airport collection. Cars were fine in good condition. Told fuel was half full at check in but actually only around a 1/4 full. Also wouldn't accept revolut cards. Would use again though.

El día de la recogida no hubo ningún problema, todo transcurrió sin contratiempos ni colas. El día de la bajada (7 de abril), había una cola larguísima para subir al autobús que me llevaría al aeropuerto. Soy discapacitada y uso muletas. Pedí amablemente que me dieran prioridad, pero el conductor me respondió con gran insolencia, diciéndome que tenía que esperar mi turno. Una muestra de total ignorancia.

Very quick and easy process when renting and returning the car. No deposit or credit card needed. Rented car was in a very good condition and the lady at the desk was very helpful. All that for a very good price.

Increíble el servicio, buenísimo!! Rápidos en la entrega, rápidos en la recogida, nos recogieron en el aeropuerto en 5 min yal volver nos llevaron al aeropuerto nada mas dejar el coche que por cierto estaba impecable. Precio insuperable.

The car had a flat tyre and we were back on the road in less than two hours 💪

The car was clean and exact to the description. The revenue of the car was very easy.

Great prices, great cars. Pick up and drop off could be a bit smoother, but pretty good.

They were very quick and efficient when collecting and returning our car late at night.
The price was excellent too for a nicely specced seat Arona.

This is the 4th time booking with MalagaCar. Really good experience and reliable cars.
Full Pack option is best I recommend it.

Great company! When renting, you get the car quickly, and the same applies to returning it. Never any problems and everything for a good price. We are sticking with MalagaCar!

Meestal moet ik zelf de ruiten reinigen aan de binnenkant van de wagen. Met de zon is dat heel vervelend met vuile ruiten. Verder heel tevreden.

Procedura zamówienia i dostawy auta do miejsca umówionego w innej miejscowości niż Malaga była znakomita . Ale odbiór auta już nie był tak doskonały. Na koniec okazało się że jest wszystko w porządku i auto zostało odebrane za pośrednictwem recepcji naszego hotelu. W dniu odbioru auta przedstawiciel Agencji nie stawił się . Dopiero kontakt mój z agencją pozwolił ustalić że klucze można zostawić w recepcji.

Personell with humor despite quite crowded. Fast bokning process and a good car for a reasonable price.
