Habe vor kurzem ein Paar ältere Bergschuhe von Meindl an Meindl eingesandt zwecks neuer Sohlen und Überarbeitung (Hakenreparatur, Gummierung, neue Innensohlen, Aufweitung etc.). Ich kann nur sagen, absolut top. Meine Schuhe sind wie neu! So geht Nachhaltigkeit!! Natürlich hat gute Schusterarbeit auch ihren Preis. Ich habe aber nicht einmal die Hälfte vom Neupreis für die Reparatur gezahlt und alles ist neu! Das ist noch Dienst am Kunden! Werde in Zukunft alle Schuhe von Meindl kaufen. Vielen herzlichen Dank an die Firma Meindl!!

Why Meindl shoes?

Because I've been wearing my Meindl hiking boots for 25 years now, and they've just been repaired by Meindl for the second time. The repair was once again carried out to my complete satisfaction, and I hope my boots and I have many more years of enjoyment ahead of us. The service team is incredibly friendly and helped me super quickly in the recent case where the heel lining had torn. Now we can finally go on our winter vacation together. For those wondering why I don't just buy new ones, let me say that Meindl quality is fantastic if you take care of your shoes, and the repair option makes them very sustainable.

Leute lasst es lieber. Ich habe gerade Ärger mit einer Reklamation, nach nur ein paar Mal Tragen der Schuhe. Und Meindl besteht auf Reparatur statt auf Rückerstattung. Inzwischen liegen die Schuhe seit 8 Wochen beim Händler und heute bekomme ich Bescheid, dass nicht erstattet sondern repariert wird. Mittlerweile 8 Wochen - mitten in der Wandersaison.
Für einen Wanderurlaub brauchte ich aber Schuhe und habe mir ein weiteres Paar gekauft (auch Meindl) Nun bleibe ich auf beiden Paar sitzen. Definitiv die letzten dieses Hersteller. Sind ja nur 260 Franken in den Wind geschossen…

Man glaubt es nicht:
Der Schuh an sich ist okay.
Aber die Schnürsenkel sind zu kurz und so glatt und hart dass sie immer wieder aufgehen.
Man kann die Senkel nicht wechseln, da die Schlaufen so eng sind, dass man die alten nur mit Gewalt herausbekommen kann und die neuen dann nicht mehr einfädeln kann.
Danach sind die Schlaufen eingerissen

Dont buy ! This is really low quality.
I bought the shots (Sienna) in Friluftland in Copenhagen …..they claim that the reason for the error in the shoe is the Way i walk…..come on guys. The shoes is only 11 months and have been used once per week and only for shorter walks. Btw the Price was close to 2000 dkk.

This shoe business does NOT sell in stores where you can try on your expensive hiking boots and ensure they fit. I assume they do this to save on distribution costs and increase their margins/profits.

This presents the customer with a problem. The only solution is to buy 3-4 boots to try on different sizes and widths.

This is risky in terms of returns. So Meindl go to great lengths to tell you that, and I quote, purchase is "risk free."

They go on to state:

"Experience the unmatched comfort, quality and perfect fit that Meindl is known for. Order today risk free with free & easy returns. If the boots do not meet your expectations, simply send them back - no questions asked.

Your satisfaction is our priority, and we are here to ensure that your Meindl experience is nothing short of exceptional. So go ahead, take that first step towards comfort - we have you covered every step of the way."

First, wear the socks and insoles you plan to wear on the trail and lace up your boots snuggly, but not uncomfortably tight. Check to make sure the tongue and gussets are straight and snug against your feet, then walk around indoors for a while. When walking indoors, make sure there is no pinching, binding, your heel stays put and your toes are not hitting the front of the boot. If you have concerns about the fit of your boots, please email or call us and we will help determine if the fit is right for you."

This is all a lie and a total con.

I tried on 4 boots. 3 were an immediate no. Following THEIR instructions to only wear inside and to walk around a bit, the boot that was promising I wore inside for 7-8 minutes on my hardwood floors. The sole got dusty.

When I sent back, they charged my $50 "restocking fee" after online promises that I could buy risk free.

This was a lie. There was a huge risk and I was the one that had to pay for their shady business practices.

They are trading off a name that they bought and are rinsing for $$$.

Go to a shoe store or REI and try boots on - and forget these cheats and con artists.

Die ersten Paar existieren heute noch, HAMMER Schuhe.
Das war 2018.
2022 das zweite Paar, nach nicht mal einem (!!) Jahr die Sohlen "abradiert". Selbst bei billigsten Schuhen, hab ich sowas noch nie gesehen.
2023 das dritte Paar, 2024 auch erste Klebereien, um das Leder wieder zusammenzuhalten, und erneut der "Radiergummi-Effekt" bei den Sohlen.
Tja, dit war´s.

Schlechte Qualität zum überteuerten Preis und dann noch eine unterirdische Reklamationsbearbeitung. Nach über 20 Jahren nie wieder Meindl!
Multifunktionsschuhe fallen nach einem Jahr auseinander, obwohl sie gemäß den Vorgaben von Meindl genutzt wurden und noch nicht die von Meindl garantierte Laufleistung von erreicht hatten ( diese Garantie-Bedingungen findet man übrigens erst im Internet, beim Kauf erfährt man davon nichts ).
Reklamation wird abgelehnt, weil die Schuhe Abnutzungsspuren zeigen - logisch nach einem Jahr.
Schuhe kauft man um sie auch zu benutzen!
Ein Paar Schuhe sind übrigens nach 6 Jahren einfach auseinandergefallen, obwohl sie höchstens 5 x getragen wurden. Da hatten sich die Weichmacher gelöst und die Sohlen sind einfach während einer Wanderung abgefallen!!! Früher waren Meindl-Schuhe genäht, jetzt ist es billig zusammengeklebter Schrott.
Schade so eine Entwicklung.

Vandrestøvler smuldrer. Mine støvler er overhovedet ikke slidt. Jeg var på tur og først føles venstre støvle underlig. Sålen har løsnet sig og gaber voldsomt. Kort tid efter sker det samme med højre støvle. Jeg kan kun komme tilbage med meget besvær og højt løftede fodtrin. Begge såler er simpelthen smuldrede og har løsnet sig. Jeg kan desværre ikke vedhæfte foto.
Jeg er så skuffet over så dyre støvler. Troede jeg havde støvler af god kvalitet,der kunne holde. Min familie køber ALDRIG MEINDL igen.

Mit dem Service total zufrieden.Auch das Preis,- Leistungsverhältnis stimmte.
