Useful platform to connect with locum agencies and handy to have all documents stored in one place. Unfortunately most of the agencies require lengthy forms filled in in addition and are not always proactive at checking what is on Messly before requesting documents.

We're really sorry to hear that your experience wasn't the most positive. We're currently working on better integrating the docs service into the platform. In the meantime, you are able to manually share your references and documents to agencies using the 'share' feature.
Our OneRef service is only a few months old, as it was introduced in May this year, so we appreciate any feedback in regards to this as this helps us make the necessary changes to the service.
Unfortunately, there is a lot of paperwork required to register with agencies for compliance reasons, and each agency will have their own unique registration process and protocols which we can't get around. However, it would be useful to know which agencies you had issues with, so that we can look into this further for you.

Great
Looking for locums and signing up to multiple places can be a bit of a chore. Messly is a great way of collating the information you need. The extra info pages are fantastic for planning your locum years, understanding appraisals etc. Website is pretty smooth and straightforward.
Agencies aren’t yet utilising all the features Messly offers - it will be even better when agencies start auto filling documents for their signing on forms instead of having to upload it all again. Will be great when agencies start making the most of the already completed references instead of requesting them again through their own pages!
Found several agencies through this website and the process is really protective for doctors giving you all the power to make choices and ask questions!

Such an easy process!
Messly made the process of finding work much easier and a swifter process than joining individual agencies. It collates all your documents so that you don’t have to keep sending them out, and stores the references so they’re accessible to all agencies. It got me a job much quicker than individual agency! Would definitely recommend for anyone doing locum work!

Can be good, can be bad!
Had good experience on here of finding a few very good agencies and being able to easily share all of my documents with them.
However also had bad experiences of documents being hard to upload and having to do this multiple times. A messly Staff member pressuring me to leave a reference on my profile I wasn't comfortable with. Staff then delaying getting a new reference sorted out when there was a software issue which lost me work. Staff inconsistent in their response times - sometimes fast, sometimes slow.
Will send multiple emails asking about an issue/asking you if you've done things instead of just sorting it out!
Also booked calls with agencies on their calender only for them to call me immediately at an inconvenient time and say they're not actually available for a call as arranged then the call has never happened but if you try to apply for a different job with that agency you will get a generic msg saying you can discuss it in the past phone call and there's no way to rearrange it! Just so many issues with this clunky app and some unprofessional staff.

Document Upload Issues: Docs is usually the feature our doctors love most, as we’ve had over 100,000 documents securely uploaded though the platform, so I’m disappointed you didn’t have a wholly positive experience using this service. We’ve already made some updates to make it more user-friendly and reliable based on your feedback.
Reference Service: Our OneRef referencing service only launched a few months ago and has been much more popular than expected, processing over 3,000 references since June. Naturally with this volume of requests there are a number of use cases, including yours, which we didn’t anticipate. This required us to dynamically update our internal processes and product. It’s unfortunate we weren’t able to fulfil your request as quickly we'd have liked, however there was a short delay to delete your references as we had to specifically build the delete feature you requested, which we released within 24 hours of your request. You’ll be pleased to know all doctors can now delete their references themselves without making a request to us.
Staff Communication: We are sincerely sorry for the pressure you felt regarding leaving a reference. I have reviewed the communications and it looks like was taken the wrong way, as our team member wanted to ease your concerns about the reference quality and explain how the referencing process worked with hospitals, and then provided you with detailed instructions on how to remove the references. Please also note we are not legally allowed to remove a reference that has already been requested by an agency and issued by to that agency by your referee. Nevertheless we take this feedback onboard and will work to ensure our staff communicates with doctors in a manner that is both professional and respectful.
Response Times: We acknowledge that our response times have fluctuated during the extremely busy August changeover period where we were 1) handling an exceptionally high volume of conversations 2) in your specific case, dealing with a new problem we hadn’t encountered before, which required internal consultations between our customer service and product teams. We strive to maintain our standard response time of under 30 minutes, which we have upheld in over 10,000 conversations. . We are taking steps to bolster our team and systems to get back to our usual responsiveness.
Calendar Booking Issues: We understand the inconvenience caused by the disruptions in our calendar booking system - it's valuable feedback as we haven't had other doctors mention this before. In future you can message our team via WhatsApp or Live Chat and we will happily book the calls for you.
Once again we apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for helping to make our service better with your feedback. Please feel free to reach out to our support team if you have further concerns or suggestions.

We apologise for any inaccuracies in the jobs posted on the platform. We ask agencies to remove any jobs that are no longer available, however we are aware this doesn’t always happen. We do random spot checks and have filtering in places for what and when jobs can be posted by agencies, however we have around 14,000 jobs posted on our site, and due to the nature of locuming, jobs posted can go quickly so it can be challenging for us to know what is available and what’s not.
However we are introducing a number of additional features to ensure the jobs you’re seeing on the app are available. If you ever have more suggestions please don't hesitate to reach out, and thanks again for your review!
