Incredibly helpful platform
Some very helpful things:
1. Their documents pages really helped me get together everything I needed so it was much less stressful by the time I actually applied to a locum agency.
2. Ability to search for jobs filtered by my priorities (in my case location, but you could also filter by pay rate and by specialty for example) was incredibly helpful.
3. The ability to just browse/scope out the lay of the land before actually making contact with a recruiter was a great way to see what's out there without the pressure of someone trying to sign you up as rapidly as possible to hit their targets.

We designed our Docs feature to easily share documents with recruiters without the need to then resend them individually to each agency. We're working on a number of features to streamline the process between Messly and the agencies, to make this process smoother as we appreciate the communication between Messly and the agencies could be better in places.
We are in the process of onboarding agency compliance teams onto Messly so they can directly access your documents without having to go through recruiters.

Scam!
I got a job with Direct Medics through Messly to work in the South West Acute Hospital. I travelled from England to Enniskillen, Northern Ireland to locum with the alleged rates of £90/hr, travel fees and accommodation. It turns out the agent I was with had been lying about the rates and has since resigned. I initially had hospital accommodation which I now have to leave at very short notice. I currently do not know where I will be sleeping in a couple of days time and I have no idea what my rates are going to be. I cannot emphasise how much I do not recommend Direct Medics- do not locum with them!

We understand how frustrating and disappointing this situation must have been for you, and from our side, we're disappointed one of the agencies on Messly let you down in this way.
Whilst it's clear the agency let you down here, I hope it was helpful to have our the Messly team on standby to help you out of this situation. Within a few hours of receiving this, I personally contacted you to better understand what happened and to provide support through this difficult time. Within 24 hours of receiving your feedback, we took the following steps:
1. Arranged accommodation for you at our expense to get you through the week.
2. Spoken with the management at Direct Medics to negotiate on your behalf and to find a resolution that meets your needs. Unfortunately in this situation it wasn't possible.
3. Initiated an internal investigation to identify the root cause of the issue and to implement measures that will prevent similar incidents in the future.
Agencies and recruiters on Messly are required to adhere to a strict code of conduct. We would like to clarify that the recruiter involved in your case was not registered with Messly. However we are still disappointed that Direct Medics were not able to uphold the standard that we expect of agencies on Messly and we will be investigating this further and taking necessary action, which I will update you on.
I would suggest leaving this review on this agency's page, as it is important for them to be aware of your experience and to take the appropriate action.
Once again, please accept our sincerest apologies for the inconvenience you have experienced. Your feedback is invaluable to us, as it helps us to continuously improve our service. If you have any further concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to our customer support team again.
