226 route today

226 route today. I thought it was the drivers responsibility to let passengers know when the next bus stop is closed. People with disabilities need to know this as they can then decide to get off a stop earlier or stay on until the next open stop. I rang the bell as the bus I was on left a stop. The driver drove past 'my stop' when I challenged him (loudly) he stopped the bus & told me the stop was closed. I reminded him that it was his responsibility to keep passengers informed of these situations. He opened the doors & let me off. This is unsafe & unnecessary.

Avoid they do not care neither protect their customers find alternative routes

Bus route of demonic demons that enter the bus and harass customers and it seems to stem down from management judging by the sounds of the reviews -I think the cctv is there to ensure that customers have the worst trip of their life on the highway to hell bus routes that you serve! If it’s not people getting on who smell of high urine it’s some reptile shapeshifter looking to cause a dispute - Avoid these routes of metro line they are unsafe they don’t protect the people that travel on there routes !

I was am employee for 24 years with this company before I had to leave on medical grounds due to kidney failure.
THIS COMPANY FROM THE FIRST DAY HAS BEEN BRILLIANT "I HAD TO WRITE THIS AS IT IS THE HONEST TRUETH THE MANAGEMENT ARE ABSALOUTLY THE BEST AT WILLESDEN CRICKLEWOOD WILLESDEN JUNCTION AND UXBRIDGE ALWAYS OFFER GREAT HELP AND THROUGHOUT THE YEARS SAVED MY JOB ON MANY OCCASIONS WHEN THEY COULD HAVE EASILY SACKED ME INSTEAD THEY GAVE ME SOPPURT. I HAVE WORKED WITH 3 OTHER OPERATERS BUT TRUETHFULLY METROLINE WAS SO FAR AHEAD AND 10 TIMES BETTER THEN ANY OTHER OPERATOR.THE PAY IS THE BEST IN LONDON" THEY GIVE YOU SHIFTS TO SUIT YOUR LIFE STYLE AND THE HUGE AMOUNT OF OVERTIME .FOR THE WHOLE 24 YEARS ANYTIME I NEEDED MAJOR HELP OR NEEDED TIME OFF OR SWAP DUTY OR RESTDAYS THE MANAGEMENT ALWAYS WITHOUT FAIL HELPED " THATS WHY I STAYED FOR 24 YEARS THE MANAGEMENT ARE GREAT"AND THE WAY THE COMPANY TREATS THE STAFF IS AMAZING" ANY PROBLEMS OR DIFFICULTYS STRAIGHT AWAY IT IS RESOLVED. WHEN I BECAME MEDICALLY UNFIT THE MANAGEMENT ALWAYS CALLED AND EXPRESSED EMPATHY AND GENIUNE CARE. TO SEE THESE NEGATIVE REVIEWS IS VERY UPSETTING BECAUSE IT DOES NOT MIRROR THE REAL TRUETH WHUCH IS A CARING COMPANY AND GENIUNE WELL BEING OF ALL ITS STAFF.
FINAL NOTE IN MY 39 YEARS IN BUSES ANY SITUATION YOU MUST NEVER EVER LEAVE THE CAB AS IF ANYTHING GRAVE HAPPENS TO THE DRIVER THEN METROLINE WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE ANYTIME THERE IS ANY SITUATION OR ASSAULTS OR THEFT "THE RULE WHICH EVERY DRIVER KNOWS IS"SIMPLE" MAKE THE BUS SAFE AND" DO A CODE RED " INFORM THE IBUS " AND WAIT " INFORMING THE PASSANGERS (customers) of the situation and double lock the cab door and window with hazards lights on" YOU certainly DO NOT COME OUT OF A CAB" to deal with it. In my time when drivers had done that they where serously beaten and some where convicted of GBH" at the end of the day it will cascade back to metroline for all the flak and they will get heavily fined you can't leave your CAB and punch a member of the public regardless of how bad they are. TRUST ME METROLINE IS THE BEST OF ALL THE OPERATORS " FANTASTIC PAY THE RATES ARE THE HIGHEST " AND REST ASSURED THIS COMPANY LOOKS AFTER ALL STAFF WITH MAXIMUM EFFORT AND THE MANAGERS ARE SUPERB.

Unclean buses, unreliable service

Ever since the bee network was introduced Metroline was decided as the operator for my local bus route, much to my dismay. I remember seeing brand new electric buses operating my route last year, but for some reason they've all disappeared and every bus I get now is some crappy, dirty, run-down bus from twenty years ago. It almost seems like they don't even bother to care about the passengers that live down my street, and that's reflected in the service they offer to us, which is unreliable, inconsistent and straight up unacceptable. The 143 is supposed to come once every five minutes in each direction, but ever since Metroline took over operations, half the buses start and terminate halfway, often leaving me waiting upwards of 15 minutes for a bus. Oh, and sometimes two or three buses on the same route come at the same time, then it's a half hour wait for the next bus on my route. Thank goodness Stagecoach runs the 41, which often saves the day (and offers a much more comfortable and smooth ride)! The only bus that actually adheres to the timetable is the 147, which still departs early from the terminus in some cases. However, for a bus route that runs every 30 minutes on weekdays only, I don't expect any less.
A few months back, I lost my wallet on a 143 service, and despite there being no customers on the bus which ran empty to the depot afterwards, and filing a lost property report to Bee Network, I received no response. I've heard of similar issues in London depots, and it seems like lost property on buses is never handed back and kept by Metroline for themselves. I lost 150 quid and my bee card that day, and it was practically robbed from me.
Today, when I sat on my usual seat on the bus (which was one of the old run-down ones, fleet number TEH169), I was horrified to find that it was wet with an unknown liquid. The seat in front of me was also visibly spewing dust whenever the bus started shaking. I had to return home to change, which is something I should never have to do because of an unclean seat on the bus. It seems like Metroline bought new buses to serve every other part of Manchester except where I live, and put the most neglected pieces of scrap metal (at least that's what they should be) from their fleet on my local bus routes, and I feel like I've been insulted in the face. The only thing I like about this company is the way they number their buses, so I can tell what type of bus is gonna be on my route on bustimes without clicking the vehicle info (spoiler, it's always the worst ones). I hope this company sorts itself out and their awful service.

I will never again use this company and…

I will never again use this company and its services, the people running this company are completely out of touch with their customers and they have zero morals or integrity. A lot of people at the top of this company need to be got rid of and replaced with people who have common sense and integrity.

Shame on this company for sacking a decent man for helping a woman on the bus. You should sack yourselves for making terrible decisions. Awful Company.

Shocking behaviour by management

A detective constable noted in a case review that bus driver Hehir’s actions were proportionate and necessary in defence of himself and a passenger. No further action was taken by the police, yet the company apparently thought it knew better and fired him. Just terrible.

Absolutely disgusting bus company I was robbed on the bus and no one did anything about it probably because of their terrible company policy of just letting paying customers get physically attacked and robbed instead of trying to protect them.

Painfully awful. Avoid like the plague.

Absolutely worst company in the country. I would say worst bus company, but they are worse than ANY other company. Disloyal, mentally-imbalanced, ridiculous, petty and vile. I would sooner crawl on my hands and my knees across broken glass than give this miserable excuse for a firm a single penny of my custom. I would advise anyone to do likewise and do my best to persuade anyone thinking of working for them to work for almost literally anyone else.

Shamefull…

Cannot believe how you treated this guy. My husband was a bus driver for 40 years so I know what a difficult job it can often be. Mark showed courage and did what ANY DECENT HUMAN BEING WOULD DO and for doing so got sacked. Shame on you. As for the woman who sacked Mark, guess you never have to take buses out so you in your cosy surroundings don't know what these wonderful drivers have to cope with each day. Just to mention a few, horrendous amounts of traffic, diversions, rude passengers, passengers who will not pay. You see Ms Alana Goroch you see none of this. Shame on you. A decent person you are NOT. You think more of the reputation of the Company than the individuals who represent the Company. Well after this your Company no longer has a reputation to be proud of. Quite the opposite.
