It's disgusting that networkail are…

It's disgusting that networkail are helping online scaming when purchasing a ticket online. A company called compleatsave.co.uk took £15.00 from credit card. When you look into compleatsave lots of people are getting shafted by buying rail tickets and this company claimed to give you a discount on rail tickets (£15.00 a month bank charge) be warned when purchasing a ticket from network rail. Then to add insult to injury the ticket had to be cancelled because of a strike by rail workers 🙄 trying to claim money back online didn't work so you have to ring the rail company to be told they don't give refunds but you can have credit or change the day. After verbally abusing some poor soul in an India call center they finally gave a refund. I wouldn't even give them one star but its the lowest I could go.

Network Rail says it has a great mental health awareness.... wow they pushed me into a breakdown and when I went to management they just went and laughed with colleagues which made it worse and then they get rid of you as they don't know how to deal with it so find any reason to sack instead of really trying to help

You can't even provide a consistent…

You can't even provide a consistent service. Sat waiting because of a points issue/fault. A points issue. Something you have used for years, have had the time to practise and perfect the use of, but we have issue that cause me to not continue on to Scotland. Jokes all of you. You can't actually run a service your the experts in. Get the Morpeth and above line sorted. I want a refund of my ticket and an apology for adding to my stress. Ridiculous. Government want to cut down the use of road vehicles however we can't trust the train services to help. We are all screwed. Get your job done and be held responsible for your actions.

Ridiculous that I can't buy a ticket at…

Ridiculous that I can't buy a ticket at the Leeds ticket desk, wasted 10 minutes of my life working out your touch screen system. English is my first language and I was born in 2000 so if it doesn't work for me, you're doing something wrong. My only positive experience was the lovely, experienced and helpful guy behind the ticket desk - he really put a smile on my face.

Tree Killers

Tree Killers! This week I saw trees of more than 20 years being felled in an uncareful action of network rail. They are simply devastating everything they see ahead, without worrying about the lives of animals and people who have houses near the train line. It has trees that could only be pruned, but were brutally cut down by the root.

Closed main entrance (south eastern…

Closed main entrance (south eastern side) due to flooding 4 hours earlier. They kept it closed through the evening for no valid reason. Plenty of staff about but standing around doing apparently nothing - this is 9pm on a Wednesday.

I missed my train due to this and other shoddy customer services (not Network Rail). The combination screwed me.

Striking again are we?

Going on strike again re pay and conditions. I will save my sympathy for when the service runs on time. Jokers.
Absolutely hell bent on pushing customers away from their own industry. The state of the railways is at an all time low. It is totally the wrong climate to be asking for more money. If anything fares need to reduce to reflect the service that they deliver.

Uncaring, thoughtless tree killers

I'm a "Network rail neighbour" in the last month I have tearfully watched as two fifty foot plus sycamore trees have been chopped down to the base and today 3 more trees of the same height and age have been decimated. It was meant to be a minimal cut back of over hanging branches but 3 quarters of the trees height has been removed and hardly any leaves left on twenty small branches that have been left. This will affect how I live in my second floor flat, no shade, no protection from the elements, no more listening to the wind in the trees. Total exposure to noise from Prittlewell Station, pollution from trains and 24hr lighting from station. Not to mention the impact on wildlife - 2 pairs of wrens, Jay's, long tailed tits, blue tits, wood pigeons etc, squirrels, badgers and foxes. Network rail dosent care about its Railway neighbours and won't be happy until all the wildlife is obliterated.

I now have the misfortune to use the…

I now have the misfortune to use the waiting room at Clapham Junction Station whilst waiting for the much reduced service to Woking. Its not too bad - light and spacious - apart from one infuriating thing. Train announcements are made at normal volume, but senseless 'public service announcements' are blared out at an unbelievable volume. Over the course of 6 months I've reported this numerous times - surely someone, somewhere just needs to turn a bloody dial down. Nothing. If your going to reduce the services (by the way, trains that I'm catching are now rammed) the least you could do is make the waiting tolerable.

Big thanks to the kind

Big thanks to the kind, helpful gentleman Nelson who works for Network Rail at the reception at London Liverpool St. He was patient and understanding when I was so stressed about leaving my bag with my passport by mistake at another station. He helped reassure me it had been handed and organized for me to be able to pick it up and nothing was missing thankfully.

I used to work for network rail

I used to work for network rail. I got pregnant and was bullied by colleagues giving me dirty looks and constantly moaning to the manager regarding me stretching my legs or being 10 minutes late due to morning sickness or even going to the toilet. I was finding the work stressful and asked for a less stressful area to manage, the manager refused this. The manager pulled me so many times whenever a colleague would complain. I wasn't allowed to talk to anyone they would call me back to my desk. I even cried! Was being micromanaged and bullied. Toxic people

Couldn't wait for maternity leave then tried to come back after asked for flexible working was refused because the reason was 'I cannot work with a child' and only managers can take laptops home not staff like me, I was told. Disgusting toxic place to work women are looked down on. If you work here don't get pregnant

Brilliant experience

I had, in these times where there seem to be a lot of complaints, a brilliant experience travelling on British Rail recently.
A Dutch person and under normal circumstances a car driver and therefore not used to travelling by train, I had a double procedure eye operation at Colchester hospital last Monday.
With my face scarily bandaged up, a friendly taxi driver dropped me off for my return journey by rail home to Woodbridge.
As soon as I approached the turnstiles and the guard at North Station in Colchester spotted me hesitantly approaching, she sprang into action, took my arm, guided me through and got onto the phone to alert other BR staff.
Another guard appeared, escorted me to the waiting room and returned to collect me again to put me on the train to Ipswich when it pulled into the station.
We were joined by another member of staff who had to travel to the same destination and again kept an eye on me during the journey.
To my amazement staff all along my route had been alerted and someone else then took over the care for me and made sure I got on and a seat on the really quite busy train to my end destination.
Again, this kind member of staff offered to accompany me to arrange a taxi and made sure I left the station safely.
How wonderful it is to know that people still care and kindness is shown when needed.
Full marks and a big thank you to the amazing staff at Colchester and Ipswich stations.

I just want you to aware of what a…

I just want you to aware of what a fabulous member of staff you have working fir you. Ronaldo at Stevenage station met opened the train door with a smile and helped my elderly mother off the train. He oozed warmth and kindness. I then saw him helping another lady with her suitcase. She tried to tip him but he politely declined. He is just lovely and I hope you reward him well.

Not good

Railway companies enticing us to go out on the railway at the weekend, but how can we if you are doing engineering works. There is no point in taking the replacement bus because it doubles the journey time it would take on the train! Could you stop putting engineering works on the weekend, and on the Macclesfield line as well as any other lines. Do it in a more convenient time!!!

JOBS !?!

First of all, I think it is coersion to actually cause the reviewer...to tap at least ONE star...just to get started ...when they are on Trustpilot to give an extremely harsh review. !
That aside. I move onto the absoloutly dispicable and very nasty treatment that my husband and I recieved late this afternoon by a Station Operative at Bromley South station.
We had already had our tickets checked on this train journey home.
My husband had a very large and very
heavy rucksack, large carrier bag and our two medium sized dogs. I, was carrying a heavy holdall, luggage on wheels. We were well...loaded down.
We approached the ticket barrier...obviously choosing the wide gate at the end...and politely asked the Operative to tap the ticket pad to let us thro. He asked my husband for our tickets..he produced all 4.
He gave them a scrutinising scan...and then asked my husband to put his railcard onto the pad.
By this time my husband was getting irritated and protested..stating the obvious difficulty in digging out now.....his railcard....whilst holding two dog leads !!
The Operative reluctantly tapped the pad and finally...let us thro ¡¿¡
Anger was flaring from both of us for all this incovenient pettiness from an OBVIOUS JOBSWORTH RAIL employee - and we swore at him regarding it, to which he was ACTually supRISED ¡¿¡¿ As we walked away, his collegue was standing with him ..jeering at us... I gave as much back.
We....have ..in NO WAY FINISHED with this - as those two will find out soon enough.

Accidentally ordered a network Railcard…

Accidentally ordered a network Railcard to get discount on travel on the rail network and the card wording misinformed me and I purchased the wrong ticket. Typical big firm response of take a hike effectively when I asked for money back. Steerr clear of them at all costs.

Say all you want about the company's dodgy upper management but the customer service employees work incredibly hard

Was stuck in Surbiton, tired and stressed about getting home on a Saturday night during intense rail disruption, after a hellish journey in the afternoon. But an employee called Antony was kind enough not just to tell me the exact route home from memory but to personally escort me and several other worried passengers to the correct replacement bus service and to instruct the driver as to which stop I needed to get off at, whilst simultaneously managing the other buses and making sure they were all happy and getting their breaks etc. They were obviously stressed at the time so I wasn't able to thank them properly but I just want to say how grateful I was for him making sure I got home on-time and safely.
