I have been hoping I would get an invitation to comment…The lock came without any screws. Finding screws of such a small gauge that were both long enough and strong enough (in brass, going into oak), was a nightmare. In the end I had to modify some steel to fit and paint the heads brass but they were never going to have enough grip, so I had to bond the catch in place. At nearly £30 I was extremely disappointed; poor value for money.

Very good quality item and fast delivery by Royal Mail. It was good to find well made solid brass hinges which were perfect for repair of an Edwardian oak bureau.
I was initially surprised by the apparently high postage cost but, upon checking, that was the actual cost of a Royal Mail large letter. The packing charge was negligible.
