This is really unfortunate. I would not have rated this experience with OneUnited, if I wasn't given a 'run-around.' Two of my payments weren't 'showing up' on my account even after I was emailed verification and funds were withdrawn from the account that paid the payment. I first was instructed to fax/mail a transmission report to the office to verify my payments were made. I completed that task. Then I was told to contact my bank where the payments were withdrawn. I did so. The bank has nothing to offer but confirm - yes - these amounts were debited from your account to OneUnited. Now I am being instructed to resend this transmission report to the office. I've expressed my concern and disappointment in the back and forth to each different representative. I do appreciate their desire to handle the matter but this is unacceptable, especially when this 'non-payment for two months' is costing me/ my creditworthiness.. and a deduction in my credit score. One star is for the customer service doing their best. Another star is because it wasn't always like this with my account.. At this point I cannot and will not, recommend OneUnited.

Customer Service . I would like to get a timely response to a check deposit in which I was told to expect a response in 24 hours for a one time deposit exceeding amount it’s been between 36/40 hours no response Im sure it’s a higher up decision, other than that customer service great.

Terrible bank, awful customer service, you can barely access your money. I closed my account w them and it took over a month to get the check and clear. No one working there knows anything, they transfer you to another person who knows nothing. It’s just bad and sadly so unorganized

The OneUnited team member who assisted me with an issue related to accessing my online bank account was incredibly efficient. She was friendly and addressed my concern smoothly. As a new OneUnited member, I am impressed and happy with the customer service that I received. I am glad to be banking at OneUnited.

I previously shared my concerns about the lack of basic banking services at OneUnited Bank and received what felt like a generic, automated response assuring me that those services exist. That’s nice in theory—but in practice, it’s been a different story.
It has been impossible to locate an ATM where I can deposit a check. And before you say “just use mobile deposit”—yes, I tried that. But there’s a cap on how much I can deposit online. So I called, thinking I could get a one-time authorization to deposit a larger amount. They could verify the funds, right? Simple enough. Wrong.
After managing accounts with multiple banks, I can confidently say this experience has been unnecessarily difficult. I want to support a Black-owned bank. I want to be part of a financial institution that reflects my values. But the lack of accessible, functional services makes that nearly impossible.
Please—get it together. Your mission deserves better execution.

Every agent that I have ever spoken with at OneUnited Bank, has been very knowledgeable, supportive, and friendly. Not only does that kind of telephone etiquette present positive vibes… it makes the customer happy with their selection of OneUnited as their financial institution.Great Banking Experience

This was one of the worst banking experiences I had. Everything Masta says to do, these criminals do. I bought an unsecured credit card called Unity Visa Card from these criminals. I added money before spending and they refused to acknowledge the extra money I put on the card to extend the credit. They came up with all kinds of deceit, why not to put my money to increase my credit limit. They created incomprehensible transaction reports to try to hide the extra money I put on the card to extend the credit. One agent said and they advertise, that the money you put on the card, dollar for dollar increases the credit limit. It's a lie. I would not recommend anyone to this bank. The legal abuse and fraud is a disgrace to ALL people, especially it being an alleged Black Bank. It felt like banking with the KKK. This is a revenge for hire, whatever Massa say do, we do, entity specializing in bank deregulation and exclusionary criminal practices. I tried for months to get them to respect consumer protection laws and nothing changed. They are an embarassment to the black race, specializing in the use of law in a manner not authorized. I closed the account and would not recommend a dog here.
