Don't bother, one of the worst…

This has got to be one of the worst Eyewear suppliers ever! I would never ever use them again after what happened. I waited over 5 weeks to get my glasses, had to mail them multiple times and ask what was going on and then there was more delays because of quality issues with the initial order.
The glasses I received where not cheap and the packaging was hideous, a simple case and nothing else. Then after only 6 weeks, the spectacles started to break down on the bridge (I ordered $350 titanium frames), so i had to send them in for repair. Waited over 2 weeks and got notified that the address their customer service provided was entirely wrong.
Then they promised a refund and that's now been another week and still haven't received anything....

Stay away from these guys. Terrible service, terrible product quality and even worse customer service.

Thank you for your feedback and I am extremely sorry for any inconvenience caused due to this unexpected experience.

Based on your review, I have checked your order to identify the what went wrong. As per our records it shows that you have returned the glasses to be fixed (the issue is not made clear) however we never received your glasses. The tracking status shared shows that the glasses were not delivered to us as the address the package was sent to is incorrect/incomplete.

Considering that you have returned the glasses and it has not been delivered due to an error by the postal service I see that you were offered a replacement pair against the glasses that went missing as well as a full refund until you receive the glasses to ensure you are satisfied with the experience.

Worse Customer Service Award Winners 2020

I am in disbelief an organisation's customer service could be so appalling. My order was made on the 18th July 2020 and the item was confirmed to be received by optically on the 21st July 2020...it is now 02/09/20....my item has still not been received!!!

The amount of times I have called for an update, only to get an answer machine or basically unable to contact anyone is shocking.

Therefore most of the time , I have been sending emails for an update on my order for my re-glazed frames.

The response over the last 6 weeks started with they took 4 weeks to reach the lab in AUS, to the last response over a week ago that they were finally with the logistics team and should be sent to me within the week.

I understand that COVID-19 would have impacted the ability to meet the delivery times as advertised on the website of 10-12 days.

However surely an organisation, keeps track of very overdue orders and informs there customer's weekly if required on when they are likely to receive their orders.

This is basic customer service , and should be important to an organisation who want to have a good reputation.

Looking at the previous reviews on the website, I am very concerned that I will never receive my order and definitely will not recommend this company to anyone I know.

I just checked my order status online, and it states the order is still being processed and has not even reached the lab yet ;-)

Rant over for now...

Update :

14/09/2020 -So the item I ordered on the 18th July has finally arrived, and the re-glaze order has NOT been done correctly.

I requested a 1.5 as per my prescription order and have basically been sent a 0.5 at the most, will be requesting what I actually paid for ;-)

I am extremely sorry for any inconvenience caused due to the delay in reglazing your glasses and sincerely apologise for the same however we ensure to keep our customers informed about the same via emails.

We at Optically ensure that all orders received are processed and dispatched on priority however there situations where the process is delayed as we depend on third party suppliers and need to abide to their time frames that are not predifined as ours.

While being apologetic for the delay I wish to inform you that all reglaze orders are processed from our lab in Sydney, Australia. We rely on the local postal services for transportation as they offer guaranteed and safe delivery for your products however owing to the pandemic the package took 20+ business days to be delivered to our lab due to lack of connections which was out of our control and I see that the same was conveyed to you in an email sent on 06th August.

The transportation of the glasses caused the delay however we made sure that you were kept informed about the same as we expected the delivery would take longer than expected.

As per our records and as informed to you in the last email your glasses were reglazed and dispatched from our end. We understand that you have been waited a long time for your glasses hence we have shipped them by an express delivery service to ensure there are no further delays. The tracking details were emailed to you for ease of tracking them while in transit.

We deeply appreciate your patience and the relationship that you have with our company and would love to maintain the same.

I am more than happy with the new…

I am more than happy with the new glasses, the service was over and above what I expected.
I am an older person and was not comfortable ordering on line , Joy helped me thru the ordering process over the phone,
Due to Covid they took a bit longer to arrive but that was expected

Was so happy to try this online for the…

Was so happy to try this online for the big savings. However 10days and no updates as promised. Then i rang the no. answer phone, no person to speak to. Emailed then got a request to change the frame as they broke my first choice.
Yes they did email back the next day, now 25 days no glasses, no updates Nothing at all. Was going to report that it must be a scam website. I will do this next
week should this continue.

Good customer service

There were (and still are) ongoing problems with my frames, but the customer service people have been good in trying to find a solution, meaning that I'd be happy to use the service again.

Good options and price

The options and price are great. and selecting lenses and tints is very easy to figure out.

Would appreciate a better method of keeping track of orders with an account instead of saving orders in my email.
Better updating on orders would be appreciated. in saying that, when i emailed to get an update I received a reply on that day.

The specs are good

The specs are good, value for money, and comfy to wear. They took a bit of a while to come, and the tint wasn't quite what I expected - more amber than light brown, but those are just things I need to be more aware of next time I order a pair. I found the online form a bit confusing to order non prescription specs, but again, practice should help. I certainly will be getting my next pair from Optically

I recieved my new lenses in my frames…

I recieved my new lenses in my frames .and very pleased at the cost.Unfortunately they are very blurey and are worse than the pair I have for the same script made by s another company.I know my condition has worsened so I am due shortly for a checkup and new test and will order a pair of yours with the new script.Any credits can you please advise and hold till I get the new script.Thanks.Rayner Mathews

Overall very happy with the experience and outcome.
The only thing that would make it better would be to have some initial email from Optically to say what the tracking number is. I did not know that my order was coming from Australia so when I got the random Australia Post emails I thought they were Spam or Scam type emails.

Buying Kids Glasses

I was trying to buy new glasses for my daughter. I found there wasn't a great selection in the kids section. Given she is older now anyway I decided to go with bigger glasses but still needed to check that the arms were not too long. It would be great if along with providing the details for the prescription if we could also customise the length of the arms
