I purchased a Microsoft NTFS for Mac software license on April 18, 2022, under the illusion that it was for life, since their website states that it is valid for one device, without indicating any expiration date. I had problems with the latest macOS update and I had to reinstall the program and then the ordeal began! After two years they deleted all the information from my account with the license, as if I had never existed and had never purchased the product. If you contact support, they send you an old version of the software that is not compatible with the latest macOS operating system update. If you present the problem to them, they invite you to wait for a response from another support team (lol) that you will obviously never receive. As you can read from other user experiences, this is not an exception but their "modus operandi". Therefore, I will no longer purchase anything from their website, because who tells me that in a few months that license together with my account will be deleted again? Nobody, because there is no transparency, only an air of fraud. Better to try other similar software, is my advice for new users.

Irgendwann muss geupdatet werden und dann läßt sich die Lizenz nicht mehr aktivieren.
Der Support von Paragon ist quasi ne Nullnummer. Copy-Paste Antworten, die weder helfen noch bezogen auf die eigentliche Frage sind.
Danach bleibt das Thema einfach offen und es gibt seit einer Woche keine Reaktion mehr.
Nie wieder ein Produkt aus diesem Hause.

I dont recommened this company I buy product 2020 year after 4 years I change computer and I cant login back to new device using my existing username details i contact support they respond that I need to buy again? I replay why if I have licence? why I need to buy again, they never respond back. This company will delete your product licence after 2 years without any reason!!
Backup is totally ineffective and even dangerous
Backup is totally ineffective. Doesn't allow to move the files, doesn't allow to take notes, every time you switch to the Paragon windows it pretends it is "validating" something, it is extremely low, the "time to completion" is a joke, messages are written in a "Chinese English", doesn't allow the restore of a job if the job exists as a backup job (!), and finally it FAILED to write the backup file after hours of making it, and I noticed only because I take notes for each job, the interface said it made the job (!).

bought NTFS for Mac software from this company, it drove me mad, it wasn't working and the support was useless, spent hours figuring out for myself, would definitely NOT recommend
they deleted my account with my license
after contacting support, they provided an application for downloading via a link that works with Sequoia 15.1, with a built-in license as far as I understand, but I also can’t log into my account in the standard application, nevertheless I am changing my review since they provided the application
Update - after leaving a review and fighting for refound tech support magically responded.
They changed working licencin center sending an email that went to spam hours before turning off my lifetime license. There is no way to activate program again, support does not reply. Company actually does not give a f about customers. I'm curious do they even try to respond. I've ask for refund as my license do not exist. It's sad software was good but the company is a mistake.
Update (rase from 1 to 3 stars) after couple of days of fighting I have finally working license. It does not change my mind that it was terrible experience while I lost week and passed couple of deadlines.
The software is no longer updated
The software is no longer updated. The latest version is 17.20.17, which came out in 2022.
I installed it and immediately tested it by creating a local backup, and then created a WinPE boot disk. When I try to use the local backup I get the error message
"Failed to import the backup:
Backup set path is already exists in database, or intersects with existing backup job 'My new backup'"
I don't what this error means, and am still waiting for a response from Paragon customer support.
Never ever buying anything from them again!
I bought and activated their NTFS for Mac and have used it for a while. Now they changed their "licensing center" and suddenly the software says "Trial expired" and I can't activate it again, so I can no longer write to my external drive.
I wrote support, of course. After 5 days I still have no response.
New interface is horrible
New interface is horrible Hard disk Manager 17 have a totally unprofessional interface. Also some functions are missing or placed somewhere with no adequate help. Restoring from backup is limited. Backup is great as past, but restoring is limited and interface is obscene.
Absolutely lack of customer service
Absolutely lack of customer service. The software needs a lot of additional settings on mac osx to work properly. Better to find another software!
Don't waste your money
Don't waste your money. They changed their system and I lost my access to software I had purchased. After a couple of months Support responded and I jumped through hoops trying to activate the product I paid for and it never worked.

Yes they deserve it - humble, resonable Hard Disk Manager software
I am a user of this software from 2019, and I have always found it decent and working. I have used many competing software products, and this one makes the process of making boot disks a lot easier than the competition, who simply point you to Microsoft's website or offer similar jokes.
I have given many negative reviews in my life, e.g., Amazon doesn't accept my reviews because they are very strict, highly critical - I am not giving Paragon 5 stars easily. They have endured the last 5 years easily with the current licensing schema, and the previous 7 years (another licensing schema) without major incidents and drama.
What I especially like about Paragon HDM is that licensing is done online, so if you stop using the software, you unlink the license and link it with new hardware, and they are not too strict about licensing like the competition is.
I am sorry to see so many negative reviews here. This is reliable software; it doesn't mess up your boot sector nor Windows boot loader, doesn't do custom "magic" in your bootloader. It simply does what it needs to do. And no useless upgrades every now and then just to take your money or force you to get a new license. That has to be respected.
I have never had to contact their support, which is also important to me.
Terrible support
Terrible support! I have HFS+ and sent a support request. Following day I get an email asking for the log. I send it and then silence. I have chased them all day to get the issue fixed. Laptop licence has stopped working, yet it says it's active. It's been urgent as I need this to work. They just do not seem to care and do not respond at all. I have tried FB Messenger all day and no reply, emails, nothing. Along with Starlink, this bunch have to be some of the worst support ever to disgrace the support world.
ZERO for Paragon's support on HDM17
ZERO, if that was an option. I have been a satisfied Paragon customer for some years, and still have HDM v16, which works fine. But I "upgraded" to v17 back in 2020 and was never able to get the installation to work (got a persistent error message claiming the download was corrupted, so went back to using v16). Repeated complaints until 2023 produced sporadic replies and suggestions, none of them working. I suggested they give me a credit for whatever future upgrades might fix the problem. Last heard from Viktor at Paragon (late, with apology) on 10 Aug 2023 requesting I send a settings.xml file, which I did. Nothing since. UPDATE 28 September 2024: Out of the blue, with no explanatory message Viktor replied with apology for the delay (more than 1 year). No comment about my request for a credit for next decent software upgrade, simply a suggestion that I 'try this' with a link. Not sure I want to roll the dice one more time 4 years after purchasing that dud HDM17 'upgrade'.

Die Funktion PreOS wird in dem Programm auch nicht angezeigt, obwohl laut Produktvergleich die Sache arbeiten soll. Auf diese Sicherheitsfunktion hatte ich besonderen Wert gelegt.
Jetzt nutze ich einen anderen Mitbewerber.

I have purchased an NTFS for Mac license, however I could not activate the it at all. I opened trouble tickets, but I did not really get useful help and after that I did not get an answer at all. I tried to call their phone number, but never picked up the phone.
I'm trying to get back my money now, but I don't think there is a real chance for this unfortunately.

I have both Paragon 15 and 17. I prefer Paragon 15 as it's always done what I want it to do.
Last Friday I went to make a new recovery USB drive, when I plugged in the drive it just kept booting to the BSOD.
So I tried using the one from Paragon 17 which I had made a few months ago. It told me I could no longer use it.
I then logged into the Paragon Portal and it told me the licenses had been "REVOKED". No explanation as to why it's been revoked and I can't for the life of me figure out what I have done to deserve getting my licenses revoked.
I sent a message to customer support and I am waiting for a reply. If I hear nothing by Thursday of this week I will be calling their Offices in California.
HDM17 Complete and Total Amateur Hour
This used to be a reputable ISV with a decent drive mgmt offering. Then they created Hard Disk Manager 17 by piggybacking backup/restore features using their existing sector level disk mgmt. code base. Backup software has to be the most reliable product on the system in order to backup / retore when all else fails, but created a product lacking any sense of error handling, resiliency, or robustness. And that's before we even discuss any form of working support to deal with the lack of these three capabilities. Its resembles what you'd expect from a team of 10th grade developers.
- Incremental file backups not possible as they are using a sector level code base only able to see sector level changes and "can't see" file header changes.
- tons of "off-by-one" errors in counting retentions.
- backup functions go into an "infinite loop" of unhandled errors while scanning partitions.
- forget about product startup as the online license verification at startup fails when the code base changes its MAC ID security token at each startup.
Ive reported them to the US Federal Trade Commision for fraudulent and deceptive consumer practices.. They'll be gone soon
