Phantom Motor Company 

I bought a car from Phantom Motors in October 2025 and have only covered around 3,000 miles since. I genuinely did not expect to be dealing with this level of issues less than a 6 months after purchase.

Not long after buying the car, the engine management light came on. It went into the garage and was diagnosed with 2 sensor faults. I had taken out the Extended Gold Warranty specifically for peace of mind. However, the warranty company (A1 Approved) would only authorise the one of the sensors and refused to cover both, leaving me to deal with the remaining cost myself.

Now the car is leaking oil onto my driveway. I’m currently waiting for the formal quote, but I’ve already been advised repairs are likely to be at least £3,000. I’ve also been told by A1 Approved this repair is unlikely to be covered under the warranty either. I've been bent over and shafted from a great height, making that warranty not worth the paper it is written on.

So, I am once again left without a car while this is being investigated. I paid extra for an extended warranty to avoid exactly this situation, yet I’m now facing significant repair costs and ongoing inconvenience less than a 6 months.

This has been an extremely disappointing experience, and based on what I’ve dealt with so far, I would not recommend.

From the minute i spoke to Amir, i realised that he was so knowledgeable! From the offset he listened to what i wanted, never once trying to pressure me or my choices. He was professional and informative and gave me an appointment to meet him and discuss my options. On meeting him, i instantly felt at ease, no hard sell, just a relaxed opportunity to view the car of my choice with no rush. Before leaving that day, i was given detailed information, and the offer to contact him with any enquiries. I quickly decided, and informed Amir that i wanted to purchase the car. His customer service was exceptional, nothing was too much trouble. Communication was instant, with daily updates on progress of what was being done to ensure that the car would be in pristine condition when i picked it up. I wasn't disappointed! I had an exceptional, positive,
experience with Phantom Motors all due to Amir. I will recommend him to everyone who is looking to buy a car. Thankyou Amir, see you when i want another car :-).

After ignoring more calls and emails. They reply to my review with their template response. Nobody has been in touch. They are the worst Car Company we have ever dealt with. After-sales is non existent if you have any issues.
We got the car to a garage. £750 pounds worth of work required to put right. There so called Pre-Sale checks obviously don't take place as we were advised this should have been picked up before selling the car.

Be very careful when dealing with them. I would suggest you don't give them a review before they hand over your keys. They ask you to leave a review before giving you the car. Very crafty as they know your excited to drive away in the new car. Therefore, read the poor reviews for proper customer feedback.

We bought a BMW X5 from Phantom Motor Company in Wigan in September and within 24 hours of collecting the vehicle, multiple faults became apparent and were reported immediately. Over the last three months since purchasing, most remain unresolved despite repeated calls, emails, and numerous opportunities for the dealership to fix them.

The car was clearly not properly inspected or prepared for sale and we have recently discovered the car has been remapped after we took it the BMW to have a software update done, they refused to touch it due to this remapping, it has numerous fault codes, swirl flap is failing, oxygen sensor fault and protective under shields are missing along with snapped earth straps and perished bushes. The car also had a buckled wheel which, granted, they did replace along with the broken air vents, incomplete/incorrect service history, gearbox/transfer box services not completed as stated but have since been rectified after lengthy calls and arguments, AdBlue system was dry, battery failure, multiple lighting faults, missing tailgate sensor, instrument cluster faults, headlight discolouration, charge cooler was dry, tracking/alignment problems, and an advertised 80-point check that was evidently never carried out due to the above services.

These are not minor issues — they are fundamental mechanical and electrical defects. The vehicle was not of satisfactory quality, not fit for purpose, or as described.

Communication has been poor throughout and we have had to constantly chase for updates, at one point we were promised a cal back by close of business the next day and I left it to see how long it took - 6wks later I had to chase them. resulting in a complete loss of confidence and trust. We have now had to escalate the matter formally under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Extremely disappointing experience. I would not purchase from this dealership ever again and I would strongly recommend you not to do so either!

Gary couldn’t do more to help with any queries and questions I had. Kept me up to date with receiving the car and gave me assurance even though I hadn’t viewed the car that it was the correct car for me, and I wasn’t disappointed with the car I have received.

I purchased a RR Sport 2 years ago and have recently utilised Phantom for their aftersales service and MOT.
Ava has been brilliant from start to end and was great in organising the MOT and facilitating the additional help I needed...at short notice tbf.

I recently purchased my new Ford Ranger from Phantom Motor Company and the experience was excellent from start to finish. The salesman I dealt with, Amir, was highly professional, knowledgeable, and very easy to deal with throughout the whole process.

Amir took the time to explain everything clearly, kept me well informed at every stage, and ensured the transaction ran smoothly with no pressure at any point. Everything was delivered exactly as agreed, and the vehicle was presented to a very high standard on collection.

I also opted for the Shadow Immobiliser and ceramic coating, and I am extremely impressed with both. The added security gives great peace of mind, and the ceramic coating finish is outstanding and really sets the vehicle off.
