There is no way to view the Gym before…
There is no way to view the Gym before committing to the contract. I emailed the Gym manager but with no response. Once committed the app is eay to set up. But if I find that the facility is not maintained or cleaned to an acceptable standard on my induction the sign up will be a waist of time and unnecessary processing.
The fact that my email was ignored has already put noughts in my mind that PureGym may lack in the customer service that's required. Even at the low level that is needed with the Business model.

Tours of the gym can be taken before signing up. We advise members visit between 9am-5pm, Mon-Fri when staff are more likely to be around. Sometimes they may be in classes or PT sessions and not available straight away but will be happy to assist as soon as they can.
We would advise checking you have used the correct email address to reach out to Member Services which is - member.services@puregym.com. They are available everyday and happy to help with any member queries.

Very clean and welcoming environment
Very clean and welcoming environment. Only downside is the price of the vending machines but that really is down to whether you want to use them at all. The gym itself is great.

Just great facilities and the most helpful staff. They are always on hand to help and offer advice which is great for me as I’m relatively new to the Gym.

Found the staff really friendly and…First imprrddionn
Found the staff really friendly and most informative . They made me feel most welcome as I have been diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease and was a bit shy at using the gym . Sara showed me around and went through everything very carefully which helped with my anxiety. .

Get up and go gym! No pressured contracts
Great gym I can do what I want no pressure, good equipment, clean and good shower facilities. All good for the money !

Caution with PT's
The gym itself I can't fault. Very clean, to a good standard and well maintained.
However, take caution if you are considering hiring one of the PT's there (I won't say who, due to it being there being an ongoing investigation regarding this PT).
The PT I hired promised, for £233 a month, 8 sessions and a fitness plan I could follow. However, this was not delivered. The in-person sessions completely contradicted the online sessions set, the diet plan was completely off from what I needed, the supplements didn't match to watch I stipulated (I told the PT I couldn't take creatine, yet the diet plan heavily relied on it) and I ended up with several injuries as a result of the exercises set-The reason I hired a PT was so I could recover from injuries, among other things.
The PT only delivered on 4 booked sessions, of the 8 promised. I met them for a 5th, however I won't count that one, he cancelled the booked one at short notice, and rearranged it for a time that was completely unsuitable. Even though I attended, I only completed about half of it because I ended up with an injury, because he booked a running session the day after another running session, as the PT hadn't checked the online sessions he had set for me. I ended up not being able to rest my legs.
I didn't hear anything after that from the PT for over a week. I was surprised to find the PT had charged me for another month, with no direct debit set up, no subscription agreement set up, nor had the PT asked whether I wanted another month. The PT hadn't delivered on one month's worth of sessions.
We're now nearly 3 weeks since I had the money taken out, and the PT has STILL to book a session or even contact me. The clearly never intended on delivering a session this month.
I've tried contacting Puregym, and making them aware of the situation. The PT is still operating at the Gym, and the issue is still not resolved. I haven't really heard from anyone, beyond the odd email to state they were aware. I'm not the sort to publicly shame, and I was prepared to give the gym time to resolve this issue. However, as I haven't heard anything, I don't have much of a choice.

The gym manager has an appalling…
The gym manager has an appalling attitude members, rude, aggressive and abrupt.
It's a shame because the gym has good equipment and the personal trainers are friendly enough.
I have trained in gyms over 20 years, never been spoken to like that. Due to this shockingly poor customer service I have no option to cancel my membership. I did put a complaint in, heard nothing back, which say it al really.

Brilliant gym
I hadn’t been in a gym for a number of years, had babies and life etc so confidence was really low, I joined in December. I was made to feel welcome, the introduction session was great and explained everything. The staff are amazing and if you have a problem or question you can speak to them, they are great.
I love the classes, especially Sam’s Thursday morning and Andrea’s Wednesday morning classes, they will kill you off (in a good way). The equipment is fab, loads available and plenty of variety.
Honestly love this gym, it’s become part of my routine and coming here has given me my confidence back, I feel strong and healthy. Definitely recommend!

It is in the gym rules that members should return their own weights or risk suspension, but at peak times especially it can be hard to police this. However, staff on site do everything they can while we also have CCTV monitoring the free weights and are looking for new ways to combat this.
