Misleading information when joining
Joined PureGym as liked the idea of using a Gym near my work Office and another Gym by my house - two different Gyms. It was only after joining that ot became clear that the two Gyms I would use one of the Gyms is unavailable to me as one of the 160 gyms available. Will be cancelling my membership if this can not be cleared up this morning - potentially within 24 hours of joining.

York gym what is going on??
York gym what is going on dumbells not in any order have to go hunting up and down the rack. I have been to alot of Pure gyms in the UK and other gyms and York is by far the worst. People leaving plates all over the place looks a mess. Sort it out Pure gym no wonder your loosing members at York

It is in the gym rules that members should return their own weights or risk suspension, but at peak times especially it can be hard to police this. However, staff on site do everything they can while we also have CCTV monitoring the free weights and are looking for new ways to combat this. Thanks, PureGym

Clean and has the necessities
I think being used to virgin active and having all what I need at my finger tips, smaller gyms are harder to compare. I want freedom when it comes to going swimming not have to book a slot for an hour, I want the freedom to train and use the equipment when I want at my pace.
Pure gym offers freedom in most of the free weights and open floor items they don't have pool facilities but what they have works, it's clean and functions.
Lack of people on site makes it very impersonal, you don't get the feeling like there is someone there if you need help or something goes wrong.
I think too many businesses took COVID lockdowns as opportunities to save costs and maximise profits and haven't reverted to practical solutions with the human touch.

We don't have pools/saunas etc. as standard in our gyms as our focus is on providing quality fitness equipment while keeping costs affordable for all members.

the staff were very helpful and are on hand if needed i had tried to join but with being sight impared i tried my best to fill everything in but didnt do it all correct had help from staff was even shown how to use items my self and hubby have been going to puree gym since tuesday and we love it and the price is good as well i think i may have to ask for help as some stuff i am scared to use

We always advise that new members have an induction to ensure they are familiar with the lay out of the gym and understand how to use the different pieces of equipment. Inductions are usually placed on the class time table. You can also get in touch with the Gym Manager via email, and an induction can be arranged for a specific date and time. Alternatively, members are able to speak to the staff in the gym (if they are not on the gym floor, please feel free to knock on the staff room door) and have an induction. Puregym Membership SCAM
Puregym have now been charging me for a full membership for 6 months. Despite the fact I don’t have a membership.
As it don’t have a membership I am unable to cancel it. Every attempt to make contact has been met with an automated response.
Please don’t sign up to puregym!!! I have now been scammed for £180 with no refund in sight
