I hired Quick Movers for a long distance move from London to Glasgow and had a very disappointing experience.
I made multiple changes to accommodate the team - firstly changing my plans so that they could do an overnight drive with a stop over and secondly allowing them to arrive earlier in the day when they asked on moving day.

However unfortunately I had multiple difficulties on the activity day, not everything was taken from my flat despite there being sufficient space in the van (I believe because the lead mover wanted to go). This significantly meant I had to make alternative arrangements for the remaining items at short notice.

I was also charged an additional fee beyond the agreed price on the basis that loading had taken longer than expected. However, the additional time taken was a direct result of last minute changes made by the company as they failed to confirm their arrival time at the destination with me before setting off, meaning they arrived before I did and had to wait for me to arrive. I actually had to call them to check when they were planning to arrive.
I was pressured into paying with the movers refusing to leave the flat until I competed a bank transfer.

In addition, boxes with fragile contents were left upside down and there has been damage to furniture and walls.

I raised all of these concerns formally by email and have received no response despite following up.

I would not recommend this company.

After booking with Quick Movers I’ll be honest, I started having a few doubts when I looked more closely at reviews compared to other services. However, I’m pleased to say my experience was a positive one and I wanted to make sure that was reflected here.
I had a collection and delivery of 20 items, around 16 high value boxes plus 3 bits of furniture and two suit bags, moving from London to Milton Keynes. At around 9am on the day, I received a proactive message from Chris letting me know he was running approximately an hour late due to the job before mine overrunning. Rather than spiking my anxiety, that actually put me at ease, it showed professionalism and good communication.
Chris arrived with an adequate size van for the job. He loaded the majority of items himself; I helped with a few things as I hadn’t booked additional help. Once loaded, he showed me the live ETA for delivery. He called the person receiving the items approximately half an hour before arrival as requested, and delivery was completed within five minutes of the estimated time.
Everything arrived safely. A very happy customer. Pleased to support a local business and I would book Quick Movers again.

Never received £300+ refund after having to cancel, despite being promised I would (have it in written from them) and following up on it via email and phone every week. Stopped responding after a while, wouldn’t be surprised if they blocked me, Absolute scammers do not use!!!

This is part one of my review - they arrived a little late but they did let me know ahead of time so no lost points for that as things happen. They were so speedy and careful with my things, and getting ready to transport them up to Scotland tomorrow. Both gentlemen were so lovely, they were chatty and had a good laugh with us when we realised how little we own. I’m anxious to have the whole move done with now but thankfully the biggest stress was how to get it all to Scotland. As soon as I’ve got the stuff in Scotland I can provide my second half of the review. I was just too happy with the service to wait!!

Got tempted by the quote and the reviews (the good reviews must be fake af) but on the day the driver came late took my items and didn’t turn up to the next address until 3 hours after we did. Finally turned up at the address and the driver held my items until I gave him cash for the extra 3 hours. Not answering my calls

Great man with a van service. Professional team, offering a super service, door to door, with several options for van sizes and helpers. Unbeatable quote. I’ve used this company twice, and would most definitely recommend their service. Thank you Chris.

Chris and a helper helped me move my 2 bed flat from Leicester to Birmingham. Even though the shifting looked quite challenging, they made it look simple. They managed really well the time to finish moving within the time I had initially thought of. Thank you so much!

I cancelled this service in time, and was told I would receive a refund. Given multiple refund dates with nothing, no proof, just empty words. Company has now seemingly blocked the phone number as it won't ring through, or it has disconnected it. Complete scam.

Do NOT book this company, absolutely terrible service and after agreeing to give a partial refund have completely blanked any attempts at communication.

I am extremely satisfied with the service I received. I would like to thank you both for your excellent assistance.

It was really easy to get a quote, and the process was simple. I called to book, and they confirmed it by email. The items were collected this morning and the communication was excellent. I would definitely use them again. They did a great job! Thank you.

Driver arrived two hours late with no apology or explanation, even though I booked their first slot of the day. He then later tried to claim he arrived on time. He took about 4 hours to make a 1 hour journey, then tried to charge me the extra cost for it. The driver refused to unload my furniture until I paid extra. Massive scam, do not use this company!!

Quick movers were even better than expected. They arrived on time, nothing was too much trouble. They loaded heavy boxes and furniture and then safely delivered them to their destination. You get updates and confirmations every step of the way, so Highly recommended !!

We had a great and efficient experience. While traffic was not helpful and delayed the vans journey, we were kept up to date and our driver made unpacking the van quick and helpful!

I used the services for moving house twice, and would use again if I move. Great service, efficient move, no issues. Would recommend to a friend.

The move was made so much easier due to the great service from Matthew. He was very helpful and was such a great help and assistant throughout our move. Moving can be a stressful process but Matthew really helped us as much as he could and we're very grateful. Would definitely recommend!
