Great events, well run. Venue not so good.
Booked a double event for my son’s 21st birthday Archery/ Combat followed by Goggle Football. Both activities went very well.👍 The young lady running them for us was very friendly but tough on rule breaking 😂. The only problem we encountered was in finding the actual point of contact, the venue reception was very much less than helpful.

Highly recommended
Highly recommended. I’d never booked an event through an organiser before and Liam’s customer care was brilliant pre and post event - all I had to do was get the stag party to the venue! Liam’s encouragement during the old school sports day for a group who hadn’t seen a skipping rope for 45 years (at least!) was considerate with a touch of comedy. Pitched the event perfectly.
Stag party loved it - post match analysis of their old school sports day continued to entertain and set a brilliant tone for the rest of the day. Massive thanks to Liam - will definitely be recommending to others.

School sports day
We did the school sports day activity for my friend’s hen do and it was brilliant. We had so much fun and it was really well organised. We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good laugh, some competitiveness and a good workout!!

Everyone in the group enjoyed the day…
Everyone in the group enjoyed the day but as the organiser I was left disappointed. I didn’t feel like it was good value for money.
The organisers on the day were nice but not too interested. We played around 5 different activities before being told time was up. Shame but glad my group still had a good time.

The perfect hen party activity !
We booked an old school sports day for a hen party activity. It was perfect from start to finish ! Red Cactus were so easy to deal with and were very helpful before the event.
The event itself was professional, fun and enjoyed by all ! We couldn’t fault anything from the first enquiry right through to the event !

Electric Shock Football
At late notice they fitted us in for Electric Shock football and for a good price too! our host was really good fun, easy to get along with and set up our equipment straight away with no fuss! Caught a great video of us all playing! Really easy to book and everything but I don’t recommend the activity because it bloody hurts 😂

Wouldn't hesitate to use again.
Just want to say what a helpful and accommodating company this is to deal with. I booked a life drawing class with them for a hen do for 15 hens.
Nothing was too much trouble, commutation couldn't have been better and any questions I had were answered quickly.
They went above and beyond to make sure the event would be a success.
The life drawing class itself was amazing and highly enjoyable. It was loved by all on the night.
Couldn't have been better from the start of the booking to the actual event.

If I could leave zero stars I would
If I could leave zero stars I would. This company are an absolute shambles. We booked Zorb football around 3 months ago for a hen party. Full pay was taken on 4th May, then 10 days before the event they phone to cancel as "it isn't worth their time for only 10 people", DESPITE their website stating "events for 10 people and above". They even let slip they had no intention of fulfilling this booking a week before letting us know.
I suspect they have had an enquiry for a larger booking on the same date and GREED has reared it's ugly head.
Unprofessional. Unsympathetic. Misleading. Dishonest.
And to top it off, they alleged the money has been refunded yet...no sign of it.
Shame on you Red Cactus Events.

I have had my hen do booked for around 3 months with this joke of a company and today they have decided to cancel it all due to "only being 10 of us" and essentially not being worth their time or money travelling to us (baring in mind they charge a £50 travel fee and state on their website that they accommodate groups of 10+).
They have cancelled 10 days before the hen party which has left me with very little alternative plans seen as though we have booked other things around this event and most things now being fully booked!
Absolutely shocking customer service upon speaking with them - they weren't bothered about what they have done and even admitted they'd known for a while that they weren't willing on ever running the event.
Save your time and money, you'll only be left disappointed if you book with this company!

Hello Abby,
We are sincerely sorry that your event in Durham cannot go ahead. We are also extremely frustrated with this situation as we were unfortunately let down by our activity provider on this occasion.
We use activity suppliers for all of our activities and therefore, rely on those suppliers to provide the activities we advertise.
On this occasion, you were quoted a £50 travel fee due to the location of your event which was determined by our suppliers and not by ourselves. We would hope that this would cover our suppliers costs, regardless of your group size.
Upon you paying your final balance and confirming your final group size of 10 people, we informed our supplier and as your group size had dropped from 20, they then informed us that they wouldn't be able to host the event for a smaller group size. This is unacceptable to us and we absolutely share your frustration. Our team tried everything to get your event covered including offering our provider extra money to ensure the event could go ahead. Unfortunately, the situation was out of our control and we were unable to find any other providers who could offer the event in Durham.
We did try and offer an event in Newcastle however we understand this wasn't suitable for you and your group.
Please be assured that this is a situation that we too are extremely unhappy about and we are sorry that it has affected your Hen Do plans. We have shared this with our activity provider and will be discussing this with them further.
We have processed a full refund for you and are deeply regretful that we were unable to find a suitable alternative for you.

Combat archery was excellent...
Combat archery was excellent....much banter was had with the instructor.
Could have done with some better instructions on where to go on arrival and a couple of the arrows being used were without flights or the clips to hold them onto the string of the bow were broken.
Otherwise great fun.

It's great to hear you enjoyed the Combat Archery experience and your instructor was able to interact well with your group.
We do advise providing your name and activity booked to the venue reception on the day however, we will pass on your feedback that it wasn't made clear which pitch you were on.
We have also passed on your feedback regarding the equipment to our activity partner. Archery Combat is quite a high impact game and although the equipment is built for impact, occasionally there are breakages but nothing that would affect the safety of the event and if it did, the equipment would be removed and replaced immediately.
We hope you come back to us again to try another one of our many sporting activities such as Shock Football, Extreme Dodgeball or Football Darts!

Anthony was great fun throughout the session. We were all there a little early so instead of waiting he just got things going meaning we had a longer experience. He was a great host who really added to the day

Ok experience, misleading photos
Ok experience, but the photos were a bit misleading- it was just a 5 a side pitch, with no inflatables to make it interesting (something to hide behind etc).
Wouldn’t recommend going in a group of more than 10 as not everyone would get a bow and arrow for the whole time.

We understand your group was a group of 9 people so each group member should have had a bow and arrow on the day. There will always be a minimum of 10 bows and arrows however, with Archery Combat, there are games which can be played which doesn't require everyone to have a bow and arrow.
It has been found that barricades / inflatables can sometimes hinder the play of the activity (groups sometimes spend the duration hiding behind them and not participating) so not all hosts use them and prefer to keep games open and flowing.
We have however, passed your feedback on to our activity partner as all feedback is valuable and useful.
