Response is a scam with excellent…

Response is a scam with excellent skills in sales or better said, the art of manipulation, embellishment, and scamming people. The ultimate in bait and switch. They do not deliver on their promises and later tell you they did not make such promises. They lie! It starts with a free book (the most expensive book in my library) and seminar. They convince you that they can teach you how to make thousands from the comfort of your own home (not true!) via their software that includes a monthly fee but first you have to pay $1000 for the 3 day training. This eliminates those who cannot afford their program, but only if they can't qualify you for credit at a fee of $3000. Once you pay the $1000 (supposedly you get your money back after your first deal- good luck getting that deal!), you wait to go to the 3 day training where you are worn down by lack of sleep, late night homework and reading an inspiring book that motivates you to "Change your life!". You then realize this "training" was not an actual training but there way of convincing you how much you need their actual training and mentoring package of about $30,000 give or take, depending on the package you select. Without this, you are pretty much on your own, out of $1000 and no idea what to do. If you got to this point, you are better off saying goodbye to the $1000. If you pay for the package, they will take you on an extensive and costly ride and by the time you arrive to your destination, it is the opposite of what you expected and were told. Instead of living your dreams, you wake up to a nightmare financially. They will happily take $30,000 from you and once you pay, they will gladly ask you for more money. Our investment required we take a trip to Utah for another "training" and although there was some training, most of the 3 days of training was a ploy to get us all to sign up for more expensive programs they offer. All the training could have been done online but ut is easier to sell a captive audience. Upon returning, the sales calls continue. Just when you thought you paid for mentoring, you are asked to spend another $14,000 for one-on-one training. The sales calls never ends until you keep saying "no" and only after they assure you that you will have no success without their one-on-one. We did not do the one-on-one so all you actually get is a phone line of people telling you what is a "good deal" or not but no one gives you the same information and those "good deals" are not so good. Those who paid for one-on-one did not better than we did. We did everything we were told and at the end ran out of money (by the way, you also need earnest money make deals). They never tell you up front all that is truly involved. Response is full of other sister companies that are just trying to sell you other services such as tax company/ corporation set-up, asset protection, charity set-up... They say they will teach you how to make much more than your "investment" in exclusive real estate deals but the only lesson you actually get is how not to get scammed in the future. I am a skeptic, and I still got con. Beware of Response! Once you realize you were conned, it is too late to reverse the charges on your credit cards. Anything they actually teach you can be learned for free or with a couple of books. They will refuse to refund your money and now they are being investigated by the FTC. I do not want you to get scammed the way we did! BTW, I had to fight very hard to get this review re-posted. Response kept saying I was not a real customer and I had to show Trustpilot proof several times. Response does not want to allow poor reviews to show up online and they do everything possible to remove all negative reviews. Beware of Response!

Don't believe the 4 1/2 star rating for Response!

Don't believe the 4 1/2 star rating for Response!! If you read thru, you will find about 60% 3 or 4 word sentences as a rating that are obviously PAID FOR! You will also see that in NONE of these "positive ratings" does ANYONE give an account of the "THOUSANDS OF $$" they made by actually using this so called "proven method" of making serious money by "wholesaling houses" to investors-because no-one DOES make any money....despite ratings going back to earlier than 2015.....

RUN!! DON'T just walk away from this company! Again RUN!!
They will entice you with heavy handed "bait & switch" tactics that produce ZERO results for all but 1% of the people that get their "training". Both the FTC and Utah Attourney General are currently in the process of shutting them down!

You can find the details of the Lawsuits brought by the Federal Trade Commission and Utah State Attourneys office with a simple google search.

You DEFINITELY WANT TO REVIEW THIS as it contains DEEP details of the unethical and ILLEGAL PRACTICES they are being charged with by both the Utah Attorney Generals office and the Federal Trade Commission.

First you will be cajoled into paying around $1100 for a 3-day "workshop" where you will supposedly learn all you need to learn to do "wholesaling".....what it REALLY is is a 3-day high pressure sales pitch, which will give you almost NONE of the needed wholesaling info, complete with them getting as much of your financial info as they can on a sheet they give you within the first 10 minutes of the class which asks you all sorts of "qualifying" questions which in reality is to determine whether or not you can afford the NEXT step of "advanced" training which will run oyu between $20K, $35K or up to $50k!!!

I was duped into spending the $$ to do the "Diamond Elite" program which included an informative, "Boots on the Ground" training (full of information available for FREE at BiggerPockets.com) BUT-this training could have been gotten for a much lower level training with Response-More on why that is important. At this point you will be given access to a website FILLED with obsolete information to start your investment career. You will also be able to call their "customer service" who will give you inconsistent info from one agent to another and although you paid 10's of thousands of $$ for unlimited access your calls are LIMITED and to have more time you have to call back...

Then comes the crem-de-la-crem trip to Utah for more "advanced training"-Nopers!! They just re-hash "Boots on the Ground" coupled with a TON of upselling sales pitches designed to get you to BUY thousands and thousands of $$ worth of "resources" and "coaching" that is both unneeded and unnecssary until you have sold several properties....which happens for ALMOST NO ONE!!
Basically 3 days of high pressure upselling with almost NO NEW "education" to help you complete a deal...

Now, lest you think I didn't actually "work their plan"...I DID!! I went out and got more than 2 dozen different "investor/flipper/buyers". I was also successful in getting 3 different properties under contract, which BTW-required thousands of $$ out of my pocket in earnest money to get them under contract, that i was told by Responses' team 'were great wholesaling deals" that should sell with no issues-Truth be told -ALL of my buyers told me that the 3 deals I presented were "BAD" deals-even though i followed Responses' advice to a proverbial "T". One real estate agent fired me and I now have a reputation with these local buyers as being someone who only brings BAD deals to them~ Thanks RESPONSE!

At this point I have already began taking aggressive steps to recover the $31,000 that we paid for this all but worthless training. After making a request to get my money back-per their promises of satisfaction, all Wendy Young from Response did was offer me even MORE training, which in all likelihood they would eventually charge me for!!

I have run out room-for your sake RUN!!

Karen is a great teacher

Karen is a great teacher, she is detail oriented and explains things so you can understand better. I really enjoyed her teaching Boots. Every teacher has something to add...she took the extra time to make sure everyone understood.

Karen Ellsworth's 3-day livecast Boots on the Ground training for Response

Karen Ellsworth's 3-day Boots on the Ground training for Response was magnificent. I've taken the 3-day in-person training and the on-demand training and the 3-day livecast training with others, but Karen's training strategies and styles covered topics where I had questions and others I think had not be clearly presented before.

She deserves 5 Stars (Excellent) for her work!

Up sell, up sell and more up selling

They have the best sells people in the world and they will convince you that you must do this and that cannot lose. They told us the success rate was 93% and that you could not fail. 7 months later and as far as I can tell, noone in our group has made any deals. They are selling you a needle in a haystack. The software they promise has a lot of holes, customer service wont help, the funding is a scam and everything they offer is an up sell of thousands of dollars. "When you to to Utah, you will have the chance to meet with an attorney and set you your asset protection, your LLC etc". What they don't tell you is that once you get to Utah, they give you another sells pitch where they scare you to death and then they show you your package options of another 10k. They are taking advantage of people and they are currently being investigated by the FTC.

VERY slick salesmen that will tell YOU…

VERY SLICK SALESMEN that will tell YOU EXACTLY what you want to hear to get your MONEY! They promise you the moon and they fail to deliver. They are not forthcoming how long, and how much work it takes, and how any people you need to recruit and help you.

They tell you they will help you make your first deal, they will personally mentor you then oddly enough, you get a call after going to boots on the ground offering you a mentor ship for another 6K!

They are liars, thieves and they are predatory salesmen. It is one of the biggest regrets in my life trusting the person that promised to help us. I do not know how these people sleep at night.

DO NOT TRUST these people take your money and run!

Out of the group of 7 that we all connected with during the event to give this a go. Here we are over 7 months later not one of us have made a deal. I pray that no one else ever falls prey to these people.

Scam!!

So once they get you in the door they sell you a 1000 training class. It's ok but during that course they sell you a very expense course that is fool proof. Then when you tell them you can't afford that, they con you into applying for credit cards to pay for it because they will be paid off before the first payment is due. So you go into credit card debt that you can't afford and u take the course that is mostly tricks and ways to navigate the investment world but don't mention that what they teach is pointless and won't work in an over saturated area. So you spend the better part of a year trying non stop to apply what u have learned only to realize it don't work and now your very in debt with nothing to show for it. Stay away and keep your money

The company will take all of your…

The company will take all of your money. I've tried to refund my money back but the person who works for the Scam company said I already took some of the classes so she can't refund my money at all. But the company promised me if I am not happy with the company, they'll refund my money 100% but that was totally lying...
The company is such a leach sucking poor people's bloody money.
I believe there is GOD and they'll all go to the HELL.

Thanks for the start of a GREAT JOURNEY!

What an incredible journey this has been..........My 18 year old son Carson and I initially attended a 3 day workshop in August. What a great group of people. We then attended a 3 day Boots on the Ground workshop in Sept and Deal Lab in October. There a no words to describe watching your son take interest in a new business opportunity that I am hopeful will turn into a lifetime career! We are in the middle of a Fix and Flip.......just under contract on our first duplex rental ..........and will be attending Camp Protege in December.....Everyone at Response has been super supportive and great to work with............Always remember though.... if you don't put in the work and utilize the tools you will not achieve success.............

Do your research before you buy.

BUYERS BEWARE!!! It all started when I was in invited to a free 90 minute seminar about a book. I thought I was going to see the author of the book and hear him talk but when I showed up it was someone else. He started talking a little bit about how to be a successful person but then the seminar turned into a real estate sales pitch. I had never been interested in real estate but I stayed because it sounded like a good business opportunity. He went on to selling a three day class where they teach how to invest in real estate using other people's money. This was $997 and I could take someone else with me so I bought it. The three day class was nothing but a high pressure sales pitch. The class was very complicated and way more information than one can possibly process in just a few days. They talked about all the different ways you could make money but they did not go into details. This class leaves everybody very confused, so they go ahead and sell you on another course that is a lot of money (we paid $30,000). They make empty promises and make you believe that you can make this money back in no time. This upgrade includes online classes, coaching and other things that really makes you think that $30,000 is nothing compared to what you could make. They put a lot of pressure into making you buy right there. They don't give you time to do research and they really emphasize that we didn't talk to each other. Now I realize that was because they didn't want us to share information. We bought the additional course and shortly after that we realized things were way more difficult that we thought. We watched all the videos, went to all the classes, webminars etc. I even took days off from work to really focus on real estate. I placed countess offers on properties and I was never able to get a deal done using their "formula". A few weeks after we received a call selling us additional coaching. With this package ($15,000) one of the most important things was that we were going to have a coach that will tell us exactly what to do to make our money back, so of course, we have come this far, might as well go all the way in and really make sure we do everything right. Well, this turned out to be an even bigger waste of money, but luckily after talking to their rude customer service team for hours we were able to get the additional $15,000 back. Part of the program included going to their headquarters in Utah to an event called The Deal Lab. This was supposed to be the best part. This is where we were supposed to learn the most, connect with other investors and really up our game. Well, I learned nothing new there, just a lot of more useless information and of course... more sales pitch. I could have easily spent over $15,000 more on this event but by this point I started to realized that the sales pitch where never going to end and I didn't buy anything else because it was feeling a lot like a scam to me. I connected with a lot of other students and realized that we are all on the same boat. Response over-promised and under-delivered. They made us feel like real estate investing is the best way to make money and that we were finally going to achieve financial freedom. But instead we are sinking in debt and struggling to pay all the fees and bills.

Total scam

Total scam. Very disappointed. Although Scott Disick and Josh Altman were there, they didn't endorse the company. I was really disappointed that they would be there, knowing this is a scam. One speaker totally made the room feel like a piece of crap. Some people cant afford to do these things, then you rip them off? NOT COOL.
I am going to blast this everywhere.
