My experience was amazing

My experience was amazing. There was a gentleman named Sebastian who really knows what customer service is. He took time to answer all my questions. He was so polite and he knew what he was talking about. We purchased to carbine rifles today.
I think Sebastian deserves a raise. Not everyone gives thorough customer service.
We will be regular customers thanks to him.

SELECTIVE AND SELF SERVING CUSTOMER "SERVICE"

Bought a replica C96 broom handle holster from RTI via eBay. Description said that some slight work might have to be done to make the gun fit. Wrong. The inside height needs to be increased by at least 1/4 inch. The metal rail on the end of the holster that slides into the groove on the grip is too wide, needs to be filed or ground down. The openings for the grip when in the holster aren't right. This is not "slight work. I can't do it, especially the metal work.

I sent the seller a message explaining the problems and attached photos. Then I opened an eBay return request 2 days after not hearing from the seller. The seller refused the return request, yet later told me that she never said I couldn't return the holster.

Next I made a BBB complaint, having found others against RTI, with RTI responding to them. I asked as a resolution that the seller contact me via eBay. It worked, she did, but then asked me twice to contact her outside of eBay, which eBay doesn't allow. She also lied in her reply to the BBB, told them that I could have called them (How? eBay doesn't give out phone numbers and doesn't allow it), and said I filed the BBB complaint right after sending her the eBay message about problems, with photos attached, not giving her time to reply, not true. Other complainants also mention RTI rebuttals containing distorted timelines.

She told me that she wanted me to call her outside of eBay to discuss the problems with the holster. I pointed out an earlier eBay message in which I DID describe the problems and attach photos. She didn't answer.

The seller said she'd ask her boss about a partial refund and never did, never mentioned it again even after I reminded her about it.

She suggested an exchange, sending me a "larger" holster, but the holsters don't come in different sizes. Finding a "larger one" would be a lucky chance thing and I didn't want to end up right back where I am now.

Finally after ignoring more messages from me and refusing to reply to simple questions like, "Is a partial refund still possible?", I got a terse "return it for a refund" at my expense, end of story. As she refused my ebay return request I couldn't make another one and didn't want to make a return outside of eBay, with no eBay buyer protection.

At one point I thanked the seller for seeming to make an attempt to assist me, pointed out problems with the item again, said I'd have no problem resolving the BBB complaint in her favor at some point, and she brought this up two days later when I kept insisting that we resolve things through eBay and accused me of extortion. After telling me to return the item outside of eBay at my expense, with no refund protection, the seller sent me a message in which she briefly answered half a dozen questions that she didn't answer while we were conversing. "I didn't reply to your question about a partial refund because...". She sent me a "summary".

Nice looking holster for $180 plus that does NOT work with a C96 Mauser unless you do more work on it than the description says. Seller refused an eBay return, didn't reply to initial messages, contacted me via eBay only after making a BBB complaint, ignored simple questions, said she'd ask her boss about a partial refund but never did, and asked me to resolve the problem outside of eBay. Based on other feedback for RTI left here, on Yelp!, the BBB and elsewhere, my experience is not singular.

The customer service rep, who gushed on the BBB site about wanting to give good customer service - did just the opposite.

1 Gras Rifle and 1 Cavalry Carbine Received, A Great Experience

I ordered 2 antiques: a M1874 Gras rifle and a Gras cavalry carbine, both grade C. I've read reviews and watched YouTube videos about RT purchase experiences, and I was a bit apprehensive as to what I might expect to receive. I placed the order 1/22, got several emails about the order and shipment, and received the items today. I consider this excellent customer service.
Yes, they are time worn and in need of much TLC but both are complete and functional. Both have rear sights, all barrel bands, and all sling swivels. The stocks are cracked and show signs of attempted repair with nails but I find that these are part of their history and I certainly did not expect perfection.
As they now sit, they are simply historical artifacts of a time long past and, this is what excites me about them. I will clean them up to remove the accumulated dirt and rust of almost a century and a half of use and make them more presentable and functional but Royal Tiger really came through for me on this order.
I am thrilled to own these and, for me, this was a 5 star experience.

False Advertising - Poor Customer Service - DANGEROUS FIREARMS

I purchased multiple rifles from RTI advertised as “functional” and “ready to fire after proper cleaning and inspection.” The first batch of three rifles was deemed unsafe by licensed armorers and returned — costing me FFL transfer and inspection fees. In the replacement batch, yet again another rifle was found unsafe (*welded parts*, out-of-spec headspace, dangerous sear issues), adding more unavoidable fees. This ordeal has dragged on for months and months with poor communication from RTI, and instead of accountability they publicly posted false, slanderous claims on Google reviews suggesting I wanted free guns and was not sane — when in reality I returned all unsafe rifles from the first batch and only sought reimbursement of the costs their misrepresented products forced me to incur upon another rifle in the second batch having blatantly unsafe attributes. RTI has shown disregard for both customers and public safety.

high price low quality dead bed bugs in the stock

I've bought from them a few times when I first started collecting and did not know any better for what you get condition wise the firearms are not worth the price.

my last purchase I did with them looked good till I too the gun apart to clean it and between the receiver and the stock was filled with dead bed bugs.

but that was not the problem I'm sure they were dead for a while but when i emailed them 2 times just to make sure they have been dead for a while and to see what they do to the guns as far as spray to prevent bugs. a week went by and i did not get a response back they only responded back almost imminently when I left a bad review on google

so i will not buy from then again not only because the price you pay for low quality firearms but the fear of getting bed bugs because they don't care what they sell

Wish you had a negative star for Royal…

Wish you had a negative star for Royal Tiger Imports. I had bought an Enfield from them 2 years ago. Such a perfect transaction. Now, I try to purchase two rifles using my FFL3 for their C&R rifles. I was told they cannot sell to me unless I provide them a FFL1? Seriously, for C&R and I have a FFL3, which is what the FFL3 is for? I explained this again and they replied with well, their compliance person said no. So, I looked up what the FFL3 is used for on the FFL site, copy and pasted the C&R. No surprise, they still said no. I am done with them and I highly recommend everyone avoids them. C&Rs are easily purchased with an FFL3. I asked my local gun store and they said the compliance person is WRONG! I have bought more than 15 C&Rs using my FFL3 and never had a issue, until Royal Tiger Imports. I am no longer a customer.

Worst Customer Service

Ordered a MAS 49 through them, and used their drop down menu of FFLs. Apparently, they populate their drop down, without ever checking if the FFL takes third party transfers. It was sent to my local Big 5, and when I went in to pick up the weapon, they said they had sent it back. This, of course, was a lie. Royal Tiger contacted Big 5 Corporate, and finally got the weapon sent back to them. When I re-contacted RTI, they gave me grief that I should have checked to see if Big 5 handled third party transactions. I finally found reference to this on the other side of their website, in small print. Through numerous phone calls and emails, all I got was grief, for an FFL they had posted on their own website. I finally cancelled the transaction. Now, I'm out shipping money, after years and thousands of dollars spent on this company. They'll never get my business again!

Don’t believe Royal Tiger Import Descriptions

Just received a $1500 rifle that has a cracked stock that wasn’t mentioned in the description. When I contacted them I was told that I should have looked at the pictures of the rifle more closely and that they had no responsibility to list defects in their description. I haven’t seen it on their website but I was told that this is their policy. No refund was offered but I could return the rifle if I paid a $300 restocking fee. Buyer beware.

Buyer Beware

Ever heard the phrase "Caveat Emptor"? Well it appears the Romans may have known a thing or two about shady business practices. "Buyer Beware" has warned shoppers through the centuries that not every seller/business takes the high road in their dealings with customers. Some operate with a skewed moral compass or no compass at all. Case in point: Royal Tiger Imports.

I recently had the misfortune of transacting a C&R
firearm sale with RTI. They listed a Carcano 91/41
rifle for sale, including several good photos and a "detailed" description. Now this wasn't my first milsurp rodeo. I have purchased C&Rs from a number of very reputable companies, including Simpson Ltd., Classic Firearms, Ancestry Guns, Man o' War Firearms, etc. In dealing with these companies I'd come to expect a high degree of transparency and professionalism. I did my due diligence in scouting RTI. They were a high 2 star or low 3 star company. Some customers had good things to say about them while many others, it seemed, were less than complimentary, but I wanted that Carcano to add to my WW II collection.
Of the many Carcanos offered, I was careful to focus on a rifle that had an overall good condition and a very good bore. One rifle seemed to check the items on my list. It was a listing from the RTI
category of Hand Select C&R Firearms. Now I don't know what "hand select " conjures up for you, but
for me it meant that RTI had carefully inspected the rifle for bore quality and overall condition of wood and metal. The description seemed to support the inclusion of this item in a higher quality listing area.
The bore was very good and the overall condition was good, not a single mention of a defect. I did peruse the photos, but nothing jumped out. My bad!!!! I should have seen the damaged sight in the listing photos and not relied on an accurate description being provided. When the rifle arrived at my FFL, I quickly discovered that the rear sight was badly damaged. The Carcano was well packed and cushioned and the box showed no signs of reckless handling. Called RTI and emailed photos and the response was rather shocking. They suggested I take a hammer to the sight on an 82 yr. old gun and try to "straighten it out." I responded that I would do no such thing and preferred a refund instead. Just to clarify, there were no comparable Carcanos (very good bore, etc.) on the Royal Tiger site to replace my rifle. When I later spoke to the customer service manager, she outlined my ONLY options: return the rifle at my expense, suffer a $200 restocking fee to secure the refund OR RTI could send replacement parts to install if the hammer straightening did not work out. Couple of things here. Except in the case of large, heavy items, restocking fees (especially high $) are a contrived way to discourage refunds and line the pockets of, in this case, an amoral business entity.
Now to the replacement part "solution". As a serious collector, I have high standards. I prefer matching serial numbers and all ORIGINAL parts. I did not pay for a hand select Carcano with a sight from a different rifle. Sorry I'm a stickler that way.

So what did I decide? Because of the ridiculous restocking fee, I was forced to accept the replacement parts. Installation of the parts could very possibly result in a gunsmith fee and we all know how little they charge. The moral of this story: BUYER BEWARE of Royal Tiger Imports. Their avowed dedication to excellent customer service is a thin facade for who and what they
really are...an unscrupulous entity committed to
separating you from your money.
