Will not go anywhere else for my cars.
We bought our first car in 2016 from the guys at RS car sales, we can honestly say it was such an easy process from start to finish. The guys were very friendly and not pushy what so ever unlike other motor traders I’ve experienced in the past. Huge thanks to Tom and Rory for advising me right through the process. We have since purchased two other cars from them and have recommended to family and friends who have equally been happy with their experience. Unfortunately there’s people out there that enjoy writing negative reviews but I’ve only had 5* service here and personally wouldn’t go anywhere else.
Great place to buy a car
Great place to buy a car, Everyone was very helpful , of course buying a second hand car will have some problems but , all the problems I pointed out were all resolved. Communication wasn't a problem and service was excellent

Best car dealership around! Traveled all the way from London to collect my car. Will definitely come again for my next car purchase! Fantastic customer service and great selection of cars at reasonable prices! I’ve been to quite a few show rooms before buying from RS Cars and I couldn’t be more happier with my purchase!

paid near 20k for a Mercedes
Delivered the car with a broken fob and no key whatsoever so sent photos too Rory the owner and went and got a quote from Mercedes! His reply was ok he will pay half !!!!!!! So this has now gone further and then took the car for a health check !!!! To be told the brake discs and pads all round were shot and one suspension strut gone and anti roll bar link gone and to top it all I was then told that the car had been in a unrecorded shunt front and rear !!! And the last service was 2019 ! As for the guy who I was emailing think it's kieron or something! I could not believe the replys being aggressive and rude ! It just goes on ! I have said I would pay for the disc and pads but they still won't agree on the other issues ! Unfriendly uncooperative aggressive attitude from them is unacceptable! It's now going too my solicitors and just wished I'd sent the car back but my wife fell in love with it ! Please if you ever consider buying from this company please go deep into the cars history and take it straight to a reputable dealership for a extensive health report (I wish I had )

Excellent Easy Smooth Car Buy
From when I saw the car I like / want to picking up the car, only took 3 1/2 days to go through with a smooth transaction. Kieran & Rory have great communication, yet have to thanks Tom took me for a test drive and explained everything about the cars There are too much new technology in today''s cars but Tom has made it easy for me. I highly recommend RS Car Sales. Buy with confidence in a friendly environment.
Great service
4th Car I have purchased from RS, great service as always. I'm delighted with my new vehicle, thanks again lads.

Recently brought my new X3 BMW from this company and I am incredibly happy so far.
The car was delivered quickly and whilst I was a bit worried when it arrived I was made up with the condition.
It was a great and simple experience.
Well I don’t often leave reviews but
Well I don’t often leave reviews but I feel it’s important here as RS Car Sales are poor. If you want a prestige car, which RS Car Sales seem to get, you should also receive the handover experience to go with it, or it will tarnish your overall enjoyment of the car for the rest of the time you own it as it did for me.
I purchased a 72 plate BMW 330e Touring (LCI) in January 24, the only reason I needed a new car was for the boot space/access to the boot, otherwise I’d have kept my car, which as it turns out was better condition, and better looked after than the 330e I’d just bought.
I’m some distance away, so bought it online and had it delivered as I had done with my 4 cars previous. The body kit, probably added by RS swung it over others online.
It was a stormy rainy day when it arrived, so I couldn’t really check the outside. However alarm bells should have rang instantly as it arrived with only one key, plus the parcel shelf was broken, the broken parts squirreled away in a cubbyhole in the boot. I rang RS Car Sales instantly, prepared to reject the new car. Firstly they told me that cars built during Covid only came with one key due to chip shortage, but then said they would find and dispatch the second key to me. Secondly they told me to put the broken parcel shelf in the boot of my part exchange and they would send out a replacement. All the Delivery Driver was concerned about was getting a photo of me with the car and to get going back.
A few days after delivery, RS Car Sales refunded me £303 to cover the cost of me getting a new key made at the dealer.
A week later I washed my car for the first time. I discovered two large black chips on one of the “immaculate alloys”. Plus, more worryingly as I was driving it after its first wash, I could see a haze over the passenger front window. When I stopped, I found that the passenger side front door glass, both passenger doors, and the black trims round the doors, were covered in an overspray as if the car has had a recent bad spray job on the n/s. There is a dent on the driver’s side wing, and there are chips all over, admittedly these had been touched in, but so many. It’s had a hard life in its short time.
To send out a car unchecked, and incomplete just goes to show that RS Car Sales are only interested in quick profit!
Also, the car smelt strongly of smoke as if a heavy smoker had owned it. I think internet Buyers should be given a more accurate description to avoid aftersales problems, after all, no time was spent by a Salesman on this sale.
During the first few weeks of ownership I found that there was wheel wobble/vibration through the car body, not through the steering wheel. I took it to a tyre place and they said that all the wheels were buckled, and weren’t factory black, RS Car Sales must have had them painted black. I purchased two replacement rear wheels, and the fronts rebalanced to try and compensate for the buckling.
I really wish I’d read the reviews first, RS Car Sales are far from 5 stars as they claim. Many mention the bad attitude on the phone and emails, I have experienced this. No name calling or threats however, but I’ve been told I’m not “nice or normal”, don’t they think nice or normal people expect things to be right, and promises to be kept? Everyone I dealt with there seem to have the same bad attitude.
Another odd thing, the log book took an excessive amount of time to arrive. As a family we replace a car every year and the log book is normally within a week these days. So if you have a personal plate that you want to put on, you need to expect a long wait.
I purchased the car in January 24, and have already sold it in July 24, it’s still the current shape BMW 330e. I just hated it, the hard live it had, the poor buying and hand over experience, the bodged paint repair and buckled wheels that surely whoever RS got to paint them black should have noticed. I would advise avoiding RS Car Sales.

Left a deposit on the car
Left a deposit on the car, after speaking to the dealership realised car had no service history and only one key (no mention of this in the ad). asked if they would make me a spare key, Kieran started getting aggressive over the call. clearly not wasn't happy about me asking for a spare which I thought was a reasonable request on a £15000 car, so they have decided to sell the car l've payed a deposit on to someone else whilst l've already made an appointment and made a 6 hour journey to the garage. But it looked like I dodged a bullet as upon further inspection after doing HPI realised the car is an ex taxi and previously FLOOD DAMAGED, no mention of this in the ad either. I urge people to avoid this garage when buying their next car if people want a genuine car AVOID!!

Where to start!
Where to start!
It all started off great! The service was brilliant when buying the car however that all changed when the issues started!
Within 24 hours of owning the vehicle the engine light came on. I’ve owned the car for 3 months and majority of the time it’s been in the garage having various repairs! Whats more irritating is the after service! I’ve been sent away in an untaxed vehicle to use while mine was in for repair which took
Me 2 days to sort out. Sent away in a loan vehicle that was sold so I had to return it a day later. I’m self employed and over the last 3 months I have had a substantial loss in earnings with my vehicle being away and being messed around .it was returned back by Ford and I had to then wait a further 3 days to collect my car as it needed to be PDI’d even though it had just got a health check from Ford. The light tint was damaged before I picked it up presuming while it was washed I was
Told that would be sorted and it wasn’t. I was told before picking it up it was having a full health check from Ford, I asked them about this when I spoke to them. They confirmed no health check was done and it went in for a new key. It’s got to the point where I asked to return the vehicle due to the constant problems. However all my calls are now ignored or I’m told I will get a call back which never materialises. Or my emails are not responded to as nobody wants to deal with lt
On their website it tells you about the RS promise that issues will be dealt with promptly. I can confirm this is not the case!
It started to well but it’s turned into without question the worst experience I have ever had buying a car! I have given up trying to deal with RS and will now be going down the legal route!
I’m not usually someone who leaves a bad review I like to try and sort things privately.
Very dissapointed I’ve spent a lot of money to just have a constant headache for the last 3 months
AVOID AVOID AVOID
***AVOID AT ALL COSTS*** - DON’T SAY YOU HAVEN’T BEEN WARNED!!!
Firstly I will start by saying that although I appreciate there are lots of decent reviews on here, and sales of decent cars, I urge you to focus on the bad reviews, as if something goes wrong with your car, you’ve got a rocky ride ahead!
We have had the WORST experience that has caused so much stress and only just come to an end after 8 months (May 2024)
We bought a car from RS Cars and took out finance through a company they use, Northridge Finance.
The car came to a grinding halt 8 weeks after we bought it. The car had a 3 month warranty (which we now know isn’t worth the paper it is written on - when you buy a car whether new or second hand you have the same rights and they are liable to sort any issues out up to 6 months after purchase as standard)
The AA were called out and we were told that it looked like the fan belt had snapped, which by RS cars own admittance is a fairly common issue and easily rectified. Under their terms if that car had any issues, we were meant to get it towed back to them at our own cost (£150) and to replace the belt was £80 so rather than have all the hassle of arranging the car to be towed from Blackpool to Sandbach, we simply got the belt replaced at our own cost in the hope that it would get us up and running again and so as not to bother RS with what seemed to be a minor repair.
On replacing the belt, the mechanic found that the old fan belt was trapped in the crankshaft pulley and therefore did not attempt to start the car - at which point we returned the car to RS cars at a cost of £150 to ourselves.
We had several email exchanges with RS (I'm not sure who I was speaking to as they all seem to share a generic gmail email address) but they said that due to the fact we had replaced the fan belt ourselves that we had voided the warranty.
RS cars had an independent inspection done on the car and a report was produced - it turned out that not only had the fan belt snapped, but the timing chain (belt) had snapped and the engine had suffered complete engine failure. Approximate cost of a replacement engine - £4000.
Basically RS cars denied any responsibility and basically left us paying just under £800 a month for the car and insurance, for a car that we have not had or seen for the last 8 months (it was left on their property as I refused to take it back from them in the interim) - they seemed more concerned about when we were going to get the car off their property than the situation we were in!
Not once did the MD come forward and ever speak to us at any point in the above.
In the mean time we had to buy another car for cash of £11,000 as we couldn’t not get finance due to this one being outstanding.
The finance company (equally poorly rated on google) did not respond to any correspondence and have taken 8 months to part reimburse us and reverse the transaction - it has been a nightmare to say the least and pretty much a full time job trying to sort it all out.
The motor ombudsman cannot get involved as RS Car sales are not an accredited sales outlet with them.
We contacted the the financial Ombudsman, but by the time they had responded (3 months after complaint) we had already been forced to go legal at a cost of £1800 for a letter to be sent to them, to try and get the finance company to support us and look at our case.
We ended up spending another £455 to take the finance company to a small claims court which eventually forced them into responding to our claim and settling for an amount where we are still £4000 out of pocket.
In a way it turned out better that we had the car on finance rather than buying it from RS as a cash purchase as eventually we have had the backup of the finance company who technically own the vehicle, I dread to think what would have happened if we had bought it for cash direct.
Only this week we sent RS cars 2 emails as we had property to collect from the car on their land, and wanted to give them their plates, spare key fob and V5 back - no surprise, no response, so we had to drive up on the off chance and collect the stuff ourselves.
I am sure RS will have a smart answer to all of the above - I have seen the way they converse with people, and respond to feedback. Their standard responses to negative feedback seems to be a ‘copy and paste’ job, saying: 'This is a fake review from someone who has been requested to leave a review on behalf of an aggrieved friend. The friend purchased a car, experienced a fault, car was collected and repaired ( customer given an option of a refund). Customer then collected the car which is fault free and has gone on a campaign of encouraging people to leave poor reviews against a business that fixed his car, a car he is happy with, just to spite the company. Rather pathetic.’
Either that or they sign off their response with the name ‘R Soul’ - very professional.
So in a nut shell, my advice is - Go somewhere else!

Do Not Trust!
I had read the reviews but thought my experience would be different. It wasn’t and now I’m out of pocket with a car that’s causing all sorts of issues and running out of places to turn to. Rory and his band of hooligans do not care about anything once they’ve received the money and when they realise they’re in the wrong they resort to bullying and aggressive tactics.

Great team and all work very efficiently in getting the car prepped and ready for pickup day. The whole experience of dealing with Kieran and RS car sales was top level never had any questions that couldnt be answered. Great team they have over there and definitely will be back in the future!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS GARAGE AWFUL!!!!!
I put a deposit down on a car unfortunately due to unseen circumstances to do with family I was no longer able to purchase the car, KIERAN then refused to give my deposit back
After a back and forth conversation he asked if I was to write a good review I could receive the refund DO NOT DO BUSINESS with this garage
Withholding £100 deposit due to change of circumstances - distance sale.
I recently engaged with RS Car Garage Sales for the purchase of a vehicle through a distance sale arrangement, facilitated by a finance broker. While initially optimistic about the transaction, my experience has unfortunately been marred by concerning practices that I feel compelled to address.
Upon agreeing to proceed with the purchase, I provided all necessary documentation, including signing agreements, and was asked to provide a £100 deposit to reserve the car. It is worth noting that RS Car Garage Sales' website explicitly states that this deposit is refundable. Additionally, under consumer rights legislation governing distance sales, buyers are entitled to a full refund within 14 days of the transaction, regardless of the reason for withdrawal.
Regrettably, despite the finance falling through due to circumstances beyond both RS Car Garage Sales' and my control - with Santander offering no explanation for their decision - I encountered significant difficulties in obtaining the promised refund of my deposit.
While I appreciate Rory's attempt to address the situation, I found the subsequent communication rushed, with an alternative offer presented that exceeded my budgetary constraints by £10 per month. Sensing a red flag, I politely declined the offer.
My dismay deepened when I discovered that the car was promptly relisted on their website, yet RS Car Garage Sales adamantly refused to refund my £100 deposit. This conduct strikes me as highly unprofessional and, more critically, runs counter to the protective measures established in consumer legislation. Holding onto someone's money without just cause, particularly when the amount is a seemingly trivial £100, borders on unethical behavior and could be construed as a form of theft.
It's disheartening to witness such disregard for consumer rights, especially from an establishment presumably aiming for professionalism and customer satisfaction. The sum in question may appear insignificant to some, but it holds considerable importance to many individuals.
In light of RS Car Garage Sales' refusal to adhere to their own refund policy and comply with legal obligations, I am left with no choice but to pursue resolution through avenues such as the Motor Ombudsman. Such actions not only entail unnecessary hassle but also generate negative publicity for the business, all over what should have been a straightforward matter involving a relatively small sum of money.
I sincerely hope that RS Car Garage Sales reconsiders their stance and promptly refunds the deposit, thereby salvaging their reputation and avoiding further escalation of this issue.
