Service was great

I sent my lenovo laptop across having an initial quote of £130, once they had the laptop this was reduced down to £40 due to a screen issue which I had never noticed myself. I declined the offer and was quickly contacted and offered £75 for the laptop instead, such a big increase so soon made the £40 offer seem disingenuous . I still declined this offer and asked for them to send the laptop back. When the laptop was returned it was without its original packaging or paper instructions I had sent with it, more importantly the lenovo charging wire was missing and had been replaced by an unbranded cable which does not even fit my laptop. This company stole from me. I have only became aware of this recently as I had not checked the returned box until now.

Would give zero stars if I could. That guy taking the calls needs to be sacked. Said he’d get back to me and I booked to sell my laptop 5 days ago! Where is the payment!

The company arranged the collection very well — they sent someone to pick up the item and took care of the packaging, so I didn’t have to worry about finding materials myself. The whole process, including the payment, was quite fast. There was a small issue because I gave the wrong account number, which caused some delay in receiving the payment. But Sam was very helpful and resolved the problem for me, which I really appreciate. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the service!

Some things worked well - pickup was fast and reliable, payment also made quickly. However I had been quoted £28/30 depending on whether the condition was good or excellent, this was downgraded to £6 and faulty because of scratches (not cracks) on the casing. This isn't in accordance with the definitions of condition stated on the website where only cracks would be defined as faulty, so I have been misled. I was asked to accept the new price but only given 48hrs and not told I had a 48hr window, after which it went through automatically. I tried to raise this with the company as they advertise live chat mon-fri 9-5 but it was unavailable in those hours. Messaged them instead, its now been a week and heard nothing back. Not impressed.

Update 19/09: after the company's comment below to get in touch again I emailed them on 11/08 with the details but have not had a reply.

Collection of my broken laptop was very easy - no packaging was required as the courier collecting it had everything needed. I received an email and a text a few days later to say my laptop had been received and it was being processed. I waited to get an email or a text again to let me know how the process was going.
A month later I hadn't heard anything, so I did call to see what was happening. I was told that on the day they sent me the email and text, was actually the day that a payment had been made to me.
Upon checking my online banking, the payment was there.
I am very impressed with how quickly everything was taken care of, but the communication needs tweaking! The email and text that I received said it was being processed, which I took to mean that they were checking my laptop to see if it was as I had stated, not that they had processed my laptop and that a payment would be made - I think that's where the confusion was.
I would gladly use this service again and also recommend to others.
