Bought a car with these guys a year ago…
Bought a car with these guys a year ago at a cheap price should of rang alarm bells when it came with no dealership guarantee, 1 year on handbrake issue occurs on the electronic switch and is in the dealership now (it happens things break) to find out from them my handbrake has been bodged with a paper clip in the wiring loom / circuitry, the whole time I have had this car. I put my kids in this car and to top it off who then re sells a car with any issue like this. Fuming is an understatement right now.
UPDATE: 2 weeks on and another £800 into the car turns out their paperclip fix has broken the parking brake calibration module and will be another £1500 and not garenteed to fix this issue and have been advised BY THE DEALERSHIP to scrap the car at a loss of £3800 on the value paid …………….. scrap-age site gets in contact with me with offers for my car and guess what SHORE CARS want to buy it back for £1200 needless to say shove your offer up your butt as clearly you buy scrappage cars and bodge them and re sell to innocent people and do it over again. This whole situation has been a joke and I’m seriously considering what options I have available to me now as I have to purchase a new car due to this
Agreed a price and then they knocked…

Worst car buying experience in 32 years…
Worst car buying experience in 32 years of driving ‼️AVIOD‼️ the dealer was great to start with very helpful but there was a damage to the vehicle before it was due to be delivered and in between this the dealer agreed to take £250 off my deposit to purchase a spare wheel and parcel shelf because they was missing from the vehicle and told me to order them and here’s the big problem the extra damage was done to the vehicle after I was given £250 off my deposit and ordered the missing parts but when the dealer rang to inform me about the damage he wouldn’t refund me the money for the parcel shelf and wheel I was basically told it’s your problem not ours and the boss rang me the next day and he was even worse more aggressive and less helpful. These are the best best example of dodgy cowboy car dealers. The finance company will no longer deal with this company and are chasing payment if you’re reading this neither should you the vehicles seem to be unregistered crash repairs with poor quality repair work. I was also told by the dealer to open cases to return the 2 items it’s just unbelievable how sneaky and unprofessional this car dealer is as I said ‼️AVIOD‼️AVIOD‼️AVIOD‼️ at all cost are you will have nothing but issues and be out of pocket.
Brilliant and honest service!
Went there to buy my first car and the employees there were incredible!
They helped me with all of the fine details about the car, allowed me to go on a test drive quickly and look over the car without influencing my decision. They answered all of the questions I had in a clear and supportive way!
They even helped with finding good car insurance and supported me with understanding different key information points with the insurance provider.
Overall, amazing and honest people that I would go to again.

AS OTHERS AGREED A PRICE THEN OFFERED 50% OF IT ,AS OTHER SAID DONT BOTHER

Don’t expect the price they quote to be honoured when they collect the car. They should ask you for a video before collecting instead of knocking you down on collection, giving you no choice but to agree to the reduced offer. Would not recommend.

We bought a car in good faith from Shore cars only to find out when we went to sell it that it had been previously salvaged !
We were unable to sell it on because of this. We contacted Shore cars and they insisted we would have been told at point of purchase. We was not told and we would not have bought the car if we had of been.
They bought the car back from us at a very reduced rate. At the time we thought they were doing the decent thing. Only to find a week later that they are advertising the car again, adding a whopping £4400 on to the price they gave us for it ! With no mention anywhere on the advert about it being previously salvaged. They even say on the ad, nice car !
Be very careful when buying a car from this company.

I found the staff at shore cars were so helpfull.I bought a car from them at the beginning of this month. There was no pressure from the sales team they just left me to test everything and answered all my questions fully. It was the best and easiest car buying I have ever had I would recommend them as first class and would buy from them again. Many thanks Shore Cars.
Very disappointed, untrustworthy

Very unhappy customer. Yes this entry is being made on New Year’s Eve as my turbo just went on the car! I’ve had the car under 6 months. But that’s not all I’ve had go wrong. I didn’t leave a review for a while to give the car a chance to prove to me that they were trustworthy. They first tried to sell me a car with a serious oil leak saying it was excess oil from a timing chain change. It wasn’t. So I had to take it back after insisting this was put on the sales receipt that if it was a oil leak they would Have to fix it. Which they did after drove all the way back up there. However the cars bumper had damage to it that wasn’t on the pictures. I cut them down on price for this. They seemed trust worthy but I’ve had multiple issues with it. The electric boot mechanism went after 2 months costing me £400 i messaged them about it they didn’t reply. The convertible roof now doesn’t work, and the turbo has gone on New Year’s Eve of all times which will Cost me over £1000 to repair. They seem trustworthy but are not. I noticed damaged cars around the back of the garage that I assume they fix up and sell, and my car had no receipts or history at all which was odd. Avoid or get cars inspected buy experts. You have been warned. They will use the old sold as seen and if you cut them down on price due to damage etc they will offer no warranty. No happy to be left with this hefty bill after buying a £5000 car. Called them before I left this review and said I have been left with a massive bill for turbo and DPF filter and they said they won’t do a thing. Terrible service not even a good will gesture. Avoid. At all costs. You have been warned.
ABSOLUTE CON ARTISTS!
DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!! We found ourselves in a really stressful situation; we're a young family with a 9 month old baby, both of our family cars had broken down on us within a couple of weeks. Our Mini was still on finance, we'd had it for less than a year when there was an oil burning issues and the engine eventually seized. Our best option seemed to be to sell the car for salvage, as it was not worth us spending the amount of money that was needed to replace the engine. We called around a few places, we were very honest about the condition of the car and most of them offered us about £2.5K. When we called Shore Cars, we did exactly the same thing, we explained the engine had seized and they still seemed very happy to offer us £2975. We thought, that's great and accepted their offer. They then wanted to make us wait about a month before they could collect it and pay us for the car, so we told them that we needed the money to put towards a new car, so it would need to be sooner than that. It took them a few days to get back to us, but eventually they did and said it would be 2 weeks. My partner said she was only available on Thursday to Sunday to meet with them so they agreed on a Thursday. At the last minute, they changed the collection day to Wednesday, knowing full well that she would have been at work. Unfortunately for them, she happened to be working from home that day and was able to meet the pickup driver at the garage, where the car was being stored. Straight away they changed their price down to £2k (almost a thousand pounds less than what they'd offered us) and said "that's not what's in my notes" and started pointing out all the little dings and dents we'd already previously mentioned. My partner obviously wasn't happy about this and gave the guy an earful, then there was a whole good cop/bad cop routine between the driver and the guy we'd originally spoken to. It seems obvious that they were trying to catch us out by showing up early on a day that we wouldn't be there in person and hope to just give us the news over the phone, they knew we were in a tough, desperate situation and took complete advantage of us. In the end we got them up to £2,250, which we weren't happy about, but felt like we had no choice. Then, to add insult to injury, they driver didn't even have space for the car on his trailer, so they'd obviously planned not to take the car that day.
Be very wary of these people, they do not honour their agreements and will use your situation against you. I would stay clear of them and find a more reputable, honest company to deal with.
