We stayed at the Jordan Laurier 3 bedroom apt which is on the ground floor for 3 nights. Travelled with family with 2 kids and an infant

Location: on a quiet street on Laurierstraat, 5 min walk from the tram, 10 min stroll to Anne Frank house, 15 min to Dam square. Felt safe at night when I was walking home - all in a very good location

Furnishings: Well furnished, fridge has a small freezer compartment that many other rentals did not. Microwave with convection oven, dishwasher available as well. No washer, dryer though. A wall safe is provided which was very welcome as all the other apartments that I rented did not have one. Also a note about the size of the unit: it was big. Very spacious compared to the many European apts I have stayed in. Was great for my family with kids

Toilet: Only one on the basement level! Gotta take turns and plan your toilet going
Bath: 2 with one of the units with a bathtub, very nice but please note that there is no door to the bath! Worked ok for my family though

Bedrooms: 3 - one on the first level and 2 in the basement. The ground level unit did not have an attached bath and no visible heater unit. We later realised that the heating was from under the floor like houses in Canada. The other 2 bedrooms had heaters. All 3 bedrooms had 2 single beds that are movable so quite flexible. It was very new looking but the flooring of one of the bedrooms had warped floorboards which I thought was quite strange. A cot was provided free for my infant!

Communications: Very good staff in the back office which supported me through the booking process. Please note that the price drops fairly significantly as the dates draw closer. If you are not really fussed about the unit that you would like to stay in, you can look for last minute rooms! Also, they were very prompt to reply and I could see that they really tried very hard to accommodate. Kudos to an excellent team.

Staff at the front office: We had to deposit our luggage with the front office in Amsterdam when we arrived (so that we did not have to lug so much luggage back and forth as this was our last leg of our 3 week European vacation). The staff were great about letting us store our stuff for 3 days. We also had to leave our luggage when we checked out as our flight was not due for hours and 11 hours and a late check out was not possible as the apt was already booked on the day we left. The 2 ladies that attended to us when we checked in were efficient but not very understanding about kids and noise. The 2 men that helped us when we checked out were great though and I am sorry that I did not get the name of the gentleman who lugged our heavy luggage to the cab when he saw that we had our hands full with kids and many pieces of luggage! Would like to convey my appreciation.

Charges: Very reasonable given how expensive lodgings are in Amsterdam. E30 for early check in at 10am plus instead of 2pm. Cannot remember the additional charge for a late check out though. They take a E300 deposit from you in case you do not return the keys or damage some furniture. Not sure if I was penalized - need to check!

In summary, there were definitely more great things I experienced with the short stay group in Amsterdam than the small niggles. It would be great to have a washer and dryer in the unit though. I would definitely look to stay with the short stay group if I am anywhere where they have units. Very professional and reasonable.

The apartment was in a superb position, well appointed and represented good value.

Well furnished apartment with all the home essentials you will never meet in hotels. Ideal for compatible friends..

However, I never understood the cleaning/house keeping arrangement because I saw no one in one week.

We had to book on a short term and everything was handled quick and correct.
The accommedation was as described and good.

The apartment has very good facilities. But, need general improvement on the deeper cleaning of the kitchen utilities (pan were very dirty). Also, there were no mirrors available just only small one in the bathdroom.
The bedroom were too simple furnished and need some improvements.
But, I had a great time and wish to come back!

Apartment clean,friendly , we loved it.
Only flan on the site for booking nn was in italian.
However we wi il sue it again in future trips.

The apartment was fantastic, the services at the airport was quick, efficient and friendly,

Pros:
- perfect location
- cool design
- good service
- competitive price
Cons / Things could be improved:
- check-in should be done at the accommodation place
- up to date description needed (website says towels are not included, while there was sufficient set of towels, so bringing my own stuff was not needed - extra 1kg in my luggage)
- insufficient lighting in the ground floor room
- iron and ironing board hard to be found
- incomprehensible way of how central heating works - that was a real challenge

The apartment itself was wonderful. The bathroom was amazing, the location was great. During our stay I complained that we woke up to bulldozers literally several feet away from our heads, outside the window. We know we picked a very busy location, but this construction was unbearable, and it started really early in the morning. Additionally, the wifi did not work at all during our entire stay, nor did the dryer.

Customer service took way too long to acknowledge my initial complaint. When they finally did respond, they told me that the person in charge was away and would be getting back to me shortly. I was in Amsterdam at the beginning of July. I still haven't heard back from anyone.

Despite the apartment itself being nice, I will never book a stay with Short Stay again.

A good place for a couple or a little group of friends, is not dirty/ugly as people use to review, i raccomande this place! You can cook everything you want, they got microwave too.

Great appartments, have all that you could possibly need. Very centrally located and close to shops, bars and the vital tram stops.
2nd time we have stayed there and we will definitely be staying again next year!

We found the unit small but very clean. The bedroom was the worse, it was so small the double bed filled it almost completely, with only a very small space on one side to move along. The stairway up to the flat was so narrow I couldn't carry anything up, my husband eventually managed to get our laguage up, we are a mature couple, and if we were staying for less than five nights we would certainly not have been happy. Fortunately we were only on the first floor.
The kitchen was excellent, it had every thing we needed. There was a washing machine come dryer, unfortunately the instructions weren't clear enough for me and I ruined most of my husbands shirts as well as a number of my clothes, a pair of slacks were so bad I put them in the bin.
The location was excellent. We did have rather noisy people in the flat upstairs, who woke us a number of time, all hours of the night. We wouldn't stay there again but for young people it is most probably a good place. The bed was very comfortable.

Overall, our experience was very positive. The apartment was very clean, and nicely furnished. The management was very prompt and efficient at fixing our hot water problem. The only glitch was that we could not get the internet working on our ipads, but the coffee shop just down the street had free internet with a coffee purchase, which solved that problem.

We enjoyed the apartment, primarily for the excellent location and access to public transportation, good places to eat and drink, and the close walking distance to my place of work. The apartment was nicely furnished and pleasant, but was not sufficiently equipped with some basic items, such as dishwashing liquid, coffee pads for the machine, and toilet paper. Also, we were supposed to stay in an apartment on the ground floor and were moved to another apartment 2 floors up, without anyone telling us about the change or explaining the reason why.

When we arrived, we could make the check-in quickly. The contact with the personn who gave us the keys was nice and cool.

The appartment is spacious, beautiful, clean ad practical. On top of that, it's located in one of the prettiest streets of the center. We found there everything we needed. The only negative aspect was the noise in the street. In fact, two nights, as we slept in the bedroom located in front of the street, we heard the sounds coming from a party.

However, we keep a really good memory of our stay and won't hesitate to recommand it to the people we know.

the apartment was in a perfect location ,in the middle of all the trams and busses to all over interesting places .
The house was a bit small for 6 or 5 as it stated .realistically it could be good for 4 maximum.we were 5 and it was a bit tight.
all the important facilities were in the house but there were no clear explanation how to use them (ex.the washing /drying machine and the oven/microwave ).
I didn't find the manual of both and asked about the washing machine to the company by phone ,they sent someone ,but didn't really know how to work it .for a stay that is short it can be ok, but if it is a 3 weeks stay with ur family it is a bit of a hassle.I was not able to do the laundry or use the microwave which was annoying.
The garbage collecting once a week was also too little ,it could have been like other places in the Hague (twice a week).
Otherwise we had a very nice and pleasant time .

Checkin procedure from Schipol Airport was very easy and the apartment was within walking distance of most attractions. Apartment well equipped and the welcome bottle of wine was an additional attraction.

The apartment was very comfortable and well located.
The office should not be considered as walking distance from the train station, as we were told it is.
