Worst airline ever, consistent delays with every single flight. Never fly with them!
Flight got delayed by 9+ hours (still delayed, haven't boarded yet so might get delayed more who knows). All SG274 flights and in fact every spice jet flight has a history of bad delays citing "operational reason" so avoid. This airline has literally no respect for a passenger's time or money, with their consistent delays. 0 accomodations made by the airline staff. No refreshments provided either. And no alternative same day flights were provided. Even the airline staff were saying it was the worst mistake of their life joining their role, so you can get a sense of the state of the airline. This flight was supposed to reach Pune at 4:15 PM but due to delays, is now started to arrive at 1:15 AM. If I wanted to travel alone late at night, I'd book my flight accordingly. And even though they are providing refunds, it is useless because booking a same day flight with another airline independently is obviously going to be super expensive. They don't have any tie-up's with other airlines so they can't accomodate in alternative airline flights. and obviously nobody would want to have tie-up's with such terrible and unreliable airlines. Still stuck at the airport for 9+ hours, ugh. Horrible. Never going to fly with spice jet ever again, even if it's the last and only airline available and all other airlines and flights cease to exist.
Pathetic rip-off company - stay away from it by miles
Pathetic airline company with specifically designed schemes to rip you off big time. Had checked in luggage of 20 kg and 7 kg for cabin.
Although my checked in luggage was less than 20 kg, on check in their employee haven't warned me that they will weight and charge a whooping 60 AED (15 EUR) per kg of overweight cabin luggage.
So on the gate they "found out" that I have 5 kg of "overweight" cabin luggage, although my checked in + cabin luggage was within the flight limit. So they ripped me off for 80 EUR (300 AED) with a smile. When I told them it's not fair as my total luggage weight was within flight limit, they just laughed and told "it's an airport, not company" which is an outright lie.
Plane itself was worn out and uncomfortable.
Flight was definitely not worth that money.
This is a pathetic airline company that I will definitely avoid for the rest of my life.
Best tip is to avoid this fradulent company.

Pathetic airline and pathetic staff. I do not have words to write the review of this airline. We were supposed to fly back from Shirdi to Delhi with 3 senior citizens and 1 5 years old boy. Sitting all time on the waiting gate for 3 hours and they missed us to board the flight. Seems strange and its what happened to us. When we enquired staff started to shout, agrue, threaten and said do whatever you can its does not make any difference to us and our reputation. The spicejet ground staff headed by a manager named Krishna Rambhau Shinde @ShirdiAirport is the worst leader you can expect in such a sensitive customer based industry. I would never fly with spicejet and would urge to all of you dont opt spicejet because it is couple of hundred rupees cheap and its going to be a life long mistake.

For a one hour long trip, Spicejet made me wait overnight at the airport because they delayed the flight by 10hours. Horrible experience. Will never take spicejet again. It's not reliable at all.

I have heard flight getting late take offs but never heard of flight flying before time.. I missed my flight from delhi to Nashik and there are many other passengers who missed due to same reason. And today at Nashik airport they cancelled the flight after issuing boarding passes. Never heard of this unprofessionalism…
They should leave this business and start some buisness related to spices as their name..

Very bad customer service: take amount from my creditcard even if flight is not booked
Bad customer service. Tried to book tickets in August 2022 for a flight to Jaisalmer. Tried to pay by creditcard but system failed and I got message that the transaction was aborted. Then i noticed that the amount was taken 2 times from my creditcard without even having a ticket. Since then I have been sending emails to get the money back and the only answer they give (if they give one) is that I have to be patient and give them time to investigate this. Not much investigation about this, it is just theft...
Pathetic Service by Spicejet - Sad excuse for an airlines
I haven't come across a shittier service than the one offered by spicejet on 5th November 2022. I was travelling from Delhi to Udaipur on 5th Nov for a vacation. Not only was the flight cancelled without informing us wasting hours at the airport booking new flight basis availability but they did not even have the decency to refund the amount that was spent booking the flights. I am sick and tired of calling spice jet cust care but no one picks the calls.
I know many customers here are thinking that this might be a 1 of incident but trust me I have faced multiple issues with spicejet in the past and if it can happen to me it can happen to anyone reading this as well. Save yourself some trouble and book another airlines for your own sake! Can't expect anything from from the airlines after this pathetic service. AThey truly are a sad excuse for an airlines
I was about to miss the flight
I was about to miss the flight. I entered the terminal 2 hr prior but the check in line was so long there was not proper management staff who can handle the cue. Everyone was shouting that i will miss my flight do it quickly.
And also so congested seat i will not choose spicejet again and also not recommend this airline..
Cabin crew was good not problem with them,only the congested seat and ground handling staff was not proper.

Think 100 times before going through Spicejet, It is a NIGHTMARE, We traveled from Pune to Dehradhun on 12th September 2022, I booked this flight with extra cost since it was showing less layover time, This flight got CANCELED FOR 2 TIMES AND DELAYED FOR WHOLE NIGHT, 2nd time when it got canceled, Spicejet informed us at the day of fly, We were having layover at Ahmedabad, When we reached there, It was delayed for whole night and me and my old parents have to spent whole sleepless night at the airport on chairs, We made a complaint to the staff they was too RUDE like they have given free tickets , As a result it charged more with compare to other flights by showing FAKE layover timings and delayed for 1 whole night, The aroplane was too OLD and SMALL, Itsl was a SCARY ride, Felt like getting CRASHED at any point of time, I will never travel again with this CHEAP flight in my whole life nor I will refer this POOR flight company to anyone !!! They have predatory practices
They have predatory way of dealing with customers. Most airlines are courteous enough to check the weight of the bags at the check-in counter. I had 30Kg check-in allowance, and checked in 17 KG. Knowing from previous experience not to put all the clothes in 1 bag. I they loose the luggage, you end up having to buy new ones to wait for your bag to show up.
They will surprise you at the boarding gate, where they will charge you 48AED per KG for all your luggage "Extra" luggage. Where you won't have time or opportunity to then divide your luggage to meet their guidelines.

with -Booking flight reference DEV2UF via Emirates We are travelling from Europe to India with serval connecting flights. and today 10-nov 2022 we get email and call information that our flight from Mumbai to Belgavi has been Cancelled. Frist of all it not good feeling and upsetting when we planned our tip and paid so much of money and as the day come close to travel we get information of flight cancelation, and i am trying reach the Coustomer help line for and hours no response. even when i write on what's App message no reply , if you do not want to do the service , please close all the service line. After waiting 1.5hrs i manage to speak with person named Ananya , being honest not helpful at all only mention as per policy we need to check with booking source's, even i explained her that we got call from SpiceJet information the flight got canceled she check with her superior and mention the same to contact the source of the booking i have informed her that i had spoken with related to issue of my flight tickets cancelation in the day time of 10 nov and the person informed me that there are no flights available with this route , so asked her if she can change my flight from BOM to IXG to BOM to GOI, so its not long travel by car to IXG as i am travelling with baby. her only reply was they cannot do anything and we need to call the source of the booking , i explained her my booking made via Emirates airline , however SpiceJet has canceled the Booking and send me the booking cancelation. and also on the Emirate website mention related to all information we need to visit SpiceJet website. after long conversation , i requested to speak with the superior person he was not helpful at all His Name Joykem very helpless person only try info according to the policy we cannot do anything and you contact us next day by 10 am , we can check recording for the person informed booking can be changed, I do understand there might be challenges and due to that flight get canceled , however the service and there is no empathy by staff and not help full even the mistake was from SpiceJet itself. Flight delayed by 5 hrs. We abruptly got an SMS from SpiceJet
We abruptly got an SMS from SpiceJet, a night before that our Goa-Mum flight has been delayed by 5 hours. Obviously we have to check out of hotel by 11 am. So now passing so many hours without any prior planning created a headache for us. We specially avoided low cost airlines like GoAir, but it seems SpiceJet falls in this category even after charging high fares. Please avoid this airline and stick to Indigo.

A Scam
I have never travelled with Spicejet so no comments but recently one of the Company Employee in their Ahmedabad office has done a biggest fraud/scam with my Brother by handing over a Purchase Order Contract of 3 years and took over Rupees 10 Lakhs as a Security Deposit almost 4 months back. Neither they are proceeding with the Purchase Order by making payment nor they are returning the money they took as a security. After all attemps to try to get the money out from them, we are unsuccessful and hence we have done a police complaint.
I also tried to contacft the CEO and other Senior Officers of the Spice Jet Company via Linkedin but none of them are borthered to reply back or contact us.
When I tried to call their offices, some phones are not working and the phone we get through is of a Call Centre.
Horrible Experience!
My issues started at the departure itself, I was informed at the gate that my hand baggage allowance of 7kgs, included my laptop bag. I was unaware of this prior to the flight as there was no information.
After a highly turbulent flight, I waited to collect my suitcase for more than 45 minutes. Only when I went to enquire with a SpiceJet representative, I was informed that my suitcase was offloaded in Dubai due to operational issues. After waiting again, I was asked to fill out a BIR form and was finally informed that my suitcase will be delivered to my house which is a mere 40 minutes away from the airport.
On August 6, 2022, I contacted the representative in charge of the delivery process. He informed me that my suitcase would arrive by 10:50 am and would clear customs by 1:30 pm. This deadline changed from 3:30 pm to 10:00 pm, I finally received the suitcase by 12:45 am on August 7, 2022.
I had informed them prior to delivery that I had to travel by train on August 7, 2022, in the morning so I desperately needed my suitcase.
When the suitcase was finally delivered, it was in a battered condition and I couldn't use it anymore. I had to arrange for another suitcase early morning. I reported the issue while collecting my suitcase, I even wrote it in the delivery copy of the BIR form.
To date, no action has been taken. Guaranteed that I will never fly with or recommend SpiceJet to anyone. If you value your time and money, it is better to opt for any other airline.
Sensitivity for Customer Service
The spicejet is less sensitive to Senior Citizens than Indigo. There is no facility for giving handbag for bag drop as we experienced. The flight got too delayed. No payment by card facility for buying inflight food. Staff in the plane was good
