New caravan from Warwickshire Branch…
We recently bought a new caravan from the Warwickshire branch of Spinney. Alan Blair dealt with the sale and was always helpful and knowledgeable. The handover was completed by Alan Rumney who gave us a thorough walkthrough of all the workings of the caravan. He explained and answered our questions well. Thank you to both of you. Initially the salesman was excellent…
Initially the salesman was excellent but didn't get the details correct on the sale's document including wrong name, exchange caravan and incorrectly listed the part exchange price for our van we were trading in. He did not forward our requests for jobs to be done ( on a brand new van) and also arranged for our collection on a day he knew he didn't work so we missed out on the continuity of checking all our requests were dealt with correctly. Overall we felt that Spinney fell short of the professionalism in comparison to White Arches who we had dealt with in the past. The best part of the handover was David who was excellent and most informative. He also tried to clear up some of the missing work, e.g missing gas bottle and motor mover handle from our old van which he found and got put into our new van . He hadn't been told about the creaking floor or the door bin not being aligned properly. He did point out that the shower door had sealant all over it at the top of the door and he cleaned this for us and wiped over other surfaces that was not cleaned, with no hassle whatsoever. If it hadn't been for this level of service on collection by David then our score could well have been 2 star's. Were not convinced the PDI was thoroughly done as we also found that we have a curved unit with a door that doesn't close properly and protective strips not fully removed in places.

Firstly, please accept our sincere apologies for the issues you experienced throughout your purchase journey. We are disappointed to hear that several errors were made on the sales documentation, including the incorrect customer details, part exchange information, and that the requests you raised were not communicated effectively. We also understand your frustration regarding the collection arrangements and the lack of continuity during the handover process.
Please be assured that we have discussed your feedback directly with the Sales Executive involved to ensure these concerns are fully understood and to help prevent similar issues occurring in the future.
We are particularly sorry that a number of items requiring attention were not identified or addressed before collection, including the creaking floor, door alignment issues, incomplete removal of protective strips, and concerns regarding the quality of the PDI preparation. These matters fall below the standards we aim to deliver.
That said, we are pleased to hear that David was able to make a positive difference to your handover experience. We will ensure your comments are shared with him and his manager, as his willingness to resolve outstanding issues and provide informative, professional support reflects the level of service we strive to provide.
Thank you again for bringing these matters to our attention. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us improve both our sales and handover processes, and we hope we can restore your confidence in us moving forward.

Disappointed By lack of dealer commitment
Arranged to view a used Burstner motorhome only to find that the internal features were not available due to flat battery . so arranged for a test drive the following day only to find that the main features were not available again !
Not impressed at all as the salesman said all would be fixed ready for handover after a non returnable deposit of £2k was paid.. This was a big disappointment as we were willing to buy the vehicle but not without the main features available to be demonstrated. Not prepared to commit a large sum of money on something that may be fixed.

No problems
Previously had 2 caravans from Broadlane and wondered if the previous good experiences would carry over now that it is become Spinney. Many of the previous staff at Leak Wootton remain and I need not have been concerned, still the same good experience now that I have moved onwards to a motorhome. Was well looked after by Alan, Allan and Jane, all expections fulfilled and would recommend to anyone.

Forget the rest Spinney is the best
During our search for a new van Spinney was the 4th and last centre we visited. Our experience with Spinney was poles apart from our experience at other centres, from the initial phone enquiry through to collection the treatment by all the team was consistent and reliable, no chasing staff and unreturned calls here.
Handover day went to plan on time with a fantastic handover by Neil, no questions were unanswered, a brilliant demonstration of the van. Then on to the final paperwork with Mark, no last minute surprises everything agreed was delivered simple and straightforward as was the delivery to site by Ian who made sure we were happy and asked if he could help with anything before leaving. All the people at Spinney we had contact with were fantastic, on the phone, in the shop, it doesn’t matter they always see if there’s anything they can help you with, Fantastic! We have been recommending Spinney to everyone who we know, a truly refreshing company to deal with.

Spinney, Staffs - Friendly & Responsive throughout.
We only found Spinney via an internet search. However, from the initial enquiry, they were very responsive. Our purchase was handled by Barry, who couldn’t have been more helpful. He kept us updated on the order & regularly chased Ace for an ETA. Once collection was arranged we were well looked after by Barry & William at the Staffordshire branch. Regarding the vehicle itself, we are delighted with the Ace 1200 GL supplied & look forward to many years use.

Really can’t rate Staffordshire branch highly enough. Friendly and super welcoming. Not in the slightest pushy and very knowledgeable and supportive.
I bit the bullet buying a caravan and have used their in house accessories shops multiple times, they have the best customer experience and somewhere I will continue to go back to and make use of the customer loyalty program. Special thank you to Will and the whole team for your support and my happy experience.

We were, however, surprised by your comments regarding the cab handover, as our records show that your appointment was originally booked for 3pm but was brought forward to 11am at your request, with the handover lasting until approximately 5pm. During this time, in addition to the habitation demonstration, the cab functions were covered, including the lights, steering wheel adjustments, main infotainment screen, satellite navigation setup (including entering your home address), cab blinds, AdBlue level and door mirror adjustments.
We appreciate that there is a lot of information to absorb on handover day, particularly with a modern motorhome, and if there are any features you would like further guidance on, please don't hesitate to contact us. Our team will be happy to assist.
