Poor service
Sent off coffee machine. It came back 10 days later with no note of if/ how it was fixed. Fault still there. Sent back again, came back even worse/ with new fault but told no fault found. Will never use again.
Staffords did not repair my Nescafé De Gusto coffee machine
Six month old Nescafé Dolce Gusto coffee machine started working randomly. Nescafé told me that it would be repaired under warranty. Three weeks after pickup I found a very large box on my doorstep that contained my machine wrapped in many metres of bubble wrap. No contact at all from Staffords Ltd before or during or after the machine was taken from me; no paperwork from Staffords Ltd on or in the box. Staffords repair? The machine does not work - precisely the same faults. A total waste of time. Wasted money spent on boxes of Nescafé coffee pods that are sitting in the cupboard. Nescafé have told me that the machine will be repaired under warranty i.e. Groundhog Day. Do not buy a Nescafé Dolce Gusto coffee machine but, if you do, just buy your Nescafé pod boxes one at a time. Save yourself money and forget Nescafé's multiple box offers.
My the biggest mistake
I was directed to this holy company by KENWOOD when chef XL stand mixer broken down. Very bad customer service. FIrst i paid £91, they picked machine, when they picked , they demanded £94.36. I had no other option. I paid, no updates, i receieved machine after 11 weeks, i was given warranty of 90 days. AFter 4 weeks, machine broken down, I informed them, they refused to cover warranrt and asked to pay full again for repair. I have now bought new machine for £318.99. But it was the biggest mistake of my life to contact this company. Its my bad luck i didnt see reviews on trustpilot. But i will not spare them, i will contact trading agencies for my refund. If you still want to contact them then its upto you,best of luck.
My Tefal Pro Express Care Iron was sent…
My Tefal Pro Express Care Iron was sent away for repair. What can I say, from start to finish they were brilliant. Iron collected next day and returned a week later. I was well informed and updated on the progress. Definitely worth the money. Iron working well.
A follow-up
This is a follow-up to my August 2021 review. After some initial communication problems, Staffords replaced my faulty Kenwood Chef - but the new one in turn developed problems after a few months. Fortunately it was still covered by the Staffords guarantee so I returned it to them. A second replacement arrived in next-to-no-time with no quibbles but that also developed a fault. At this point, I began to wonder about Kenwood quality standards! However, Staffords took the matter up with them on my behalf and were able to resolve the matter very satisfactorily for me. It's saddening to read some of the reviews here: all I can say is that in the time since my first review I have experienced nothing but courtesy and consideration from the company.
We have a Delonghi EC685M coffee…
We have a Delonghi EC685M coffee machine.
Purchased through Amazon.
The pump has stopped working after 9 months.
Called amazon care, they passed us through to Delonghi support. Who arranged DPD pickup for our product to be repaired under warranty with Stafford’s.
Two weeks later the machine has been returned to us.
Stating:
- Service and clean
- Tested for electrical safety
- Tested with 12 coffee - no issues with flow
- No fault found
The paperwork says they will contact you if no fault is found. There was no contact at all.
We have turned it on to test it.
The machine is no different at all from when we sent it.
It still has no pressure from the pump.
I called Amazon and they have replaced it directly.
Sadly this company from reading previous reviews is renowned for these issues and a large company like De’Longhi still uses them. Not only that, they will have charged De’Longhi to service and test my machine.
Staffords may know even if they don’t repair an item.
The original place of purchase will deal with it in the end and they still get paid. Easy money maker for them but a bad experience for the customer.
Nespresso coffee machine disaster
Our Nespresso coffee machine was repaired by Staffords and was returned to us in cardboard box packed with saturated bubble wrap. I looked like it had been stored in some damp environment.
In addition the machine was returned to us with two additional faults.
Currently waiting on the machine to be uplifted again and returned to Saffords who appear to be the company Nespresso use for repairs.
I do not hold out much hope given the previous reviews.

Appalling, terrible, buy new instead
Staffords collected my kenwood cooking chef mixer at the end of July. It was working but juddery. I paid £91. No communication. I phoned late august and was told they were waiting for a small part, blaming Brexit. In October I phoned again and was told no one had looked at it. I phoned again and was told £92.94 required to mend, I paid this on oct 15th. No updates unless you call them, and my mixer is still with them. I contacted kenwood who recommended Stafford (actually they’re the only ones they deal with) but kenwood told me that my contract was with staffords. Essentially kenwood don’t care which makes me really cross. kitchen aid next time.

Milk dispenser at my coffee machine didn't work properly so was sent to Stafford Ltd. for repair. I packed it with original box and with original styrofoam inside, was secured properly and stable because it is expensive and I really care about it, cost me £450.
After 2 weeks Staffords sent it back to me in cardboard box and some plastic bubbles foam with loads empty space inside. There wasn’t also any information to handle with care or something similar. Lots of cracked plastic pieces inside and damaged plastic parts. Now I have device that I cannot use because of damages and in a worse condition than before it was sent for repair. Fault for which the machine was repaired is still the same. Stafford Ltd you were first company I ever used to repair something and horrible service given by you make me to cancel my insurance policy with my main provider because I'm afraid that in the future they will send my insured appliance to you for repair. Stafford Ltd. worst quality you can expect, I will never trust your company again.
Superb speedy repair
Had a krups sub compact beer machine which was faulty collected Tuesday 7th December. The machine was received by staffords two days later. They had it examined repaired and returned by Monday 13th December. There have been a lot of negative reviews of this company on here but I have nothing but high praise for them. The machine is now working perfectly and they replaced four parts cleaned serviced and tested the machine and included full details of the repairs inside the box.
Well done staffords you deserve praise when it's due and I'm very happy with the service and standard I received.If I ever need any further repairs I will not hesitate to use your company again.
Started well, finished badly
My experience was very similar to that of Ian Murphy on 28th November. I had a Kenwood K-mix which no longer worked. The initial contact was very smooth and efficient - they swiftly replied to my quote request at the beginning of September and the courier arrived on time. Then things went down hill. The mixer got “stuck with the courier” for two weeks. When it was finally retrieved after several chasing calls from me I asked them to prioritise the repair. This was promised but didn't happen. Various chasing calls later the mixer was returned after an additional fee of £76.14 to replace the motor and gear box. I found that the cover for the sideways drive for the mincer was missing. I rang several times without getting through (this has been common throughout) and they promised to send it to me the following week. This was on 22nd October and I have now given up. Without that cover it is possible that items could get pulled into the machine during use so I have had to tape it up. Additionally the machine makes much more noise than before. They have received two stars rather than one because when I managed to speak to two of the operators they were very helpful and rang me back as they had promised.
Poor customer service
I was recommended by Kenwood to use Staffords to repair a food mixer that had stopped working. Had to pay £91 up front and on 2nd September they arranged collection. DPD failed to deliver it to Stafford, but Stafford seem to not notice that it had not arrived and it was only when I rang them some two weeks later that they started to make enquiries with DPD. Stated they would try and get it prioritised if it was found. Waited more time, no contact from them so rang back. DPD had found it a few days later and it was now awaiting allocation to an engineer and had not been prioritised. The months have flown by and it is now 28th November and there is still no sign of our mixer. The only time I get an update is when I ring them. At one point I was told it was with a technician. When I asked if the technician was working on it or was it just amongst a workload allocated to a technician they admitted that it was in a workload. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 states that services offered should be carried out in a reasonable time and The Provision of Services Regulations 2009 state that they have a legal duty to respond to complaints. Despite having sent two emails, one using their contact page, the other via my own email, I have had no reply, so cannot get anyone to respond and cannot get a refund or my mixer back. Looking at previous reviews I think I might contact Kenwood and their parent company to advise them of the poor service being provided at their recommendation , as well as consumer affairs on The One Show as well as finding out what legal recourse I may have.
MY SUGGESTION TO SOMEONE THINKING OF USING THIS COMPANY - KEEP LOOKING.
DeLonghi coffee machine repair - poor
I followed the DeLonghi recommendation and sent my machine to Stafford’s, after paying the fee. They did not acknowledge receipt until I queried receipt but we’re helpful on the phone.
I received it back and it worked for a couple of weeks but then starting making a noise and failed again! I have been trying to contact them by email and phone without success.
So far, I am unimpressed - it was a very expensive few cups of coffee! I will post an update if i get anywhere and can figure out how to do so!

Avoid under all circumstances. I sent my De'Longhi coffee machine off with high hopes on 15th Sep. It was returned without any communication on the 21st and worked for a day before having the same fault. Agreed pick up on the 27th was a no show and when it was finally picked up on the 30th I then heard nothing until I called on 5th October to be told it just arrived but they would confirm receipt. They did not. I then called again on 15th October to be told it might need a part and someone would call me back that day. They did not. I have emailed a full complaint today and having spoken to citizens advise I will take formal action if they do not respond properly. Read the other reviews , I wish I had.
KRUPS SUB CLASSIC
Sub Krups beer machine (Heineken Classic) gave up the ghost after a few years of pint pulling.
Contacted Staffords and arranged repair (it was well out of warranty).
Superb service, they arranged to collect sub (didn't even need to even pack it). Done a full service, repalced faulty compressor, 3 month warranty and returned in a couple of weeks for a great price.
Well happy and highly recommended.

Very happy with the service & quality provided. Parts arrived a day later than expected due to Covid, but I was kept informed about this. Overall experience was very good.

I was a bit dubious about staffords after reading the trust pilot reviews, but I had already booked my repair.
However I was pleasantly surprised. I was able to book my repair, a collection was arranged for a time suitable for my with DPD and the price was explained to me and the timescales, I was told 3 - 4 weeks. Steve also checked that they had the parts to undertake my repair (the bowl was stuck in the base). I was told to pack my mixer well and I requested that it be returned in the original box,which it was. The mixer was collected on Thursday 13th may and it was returned repaired on Tuesday 18th may by parcelforce, so less than a week. I was very pleased with the service I received. Both delivery men were careful with my package and it has been returned as it was sent. I hope I dont need to call on staffords again, but I would used them again. Thank you.
Excellent service
Grateful thanks for your excellent service. We were delighted, in contrast to many of your crabby reviewers. Having left our Krups coffee machine for repair to its grinder with Tefal in York and being told it would take 18 working days, it was returned to us 15 days later in perfect order, immaculately cleaned, with what appeared to be several new accessories. I will recommend you to anyone who asks. Well done!
Appalling service
I can only echo other users comments. They've had my Tefal Steam Generator for weeks. The "we'll have it done next week" promise has long since passed. No communication from them. I presume Tefal put their repairs out to tender, and Staffords are lowest cost. And now I know why. Will be complaining to Tefal.
Espresso coffee machine returned repaired but with visible scratches
My De Longhi espresso coffee machine leaked from the frothing wand. I have extended warranty from my bank so I booked the appliance for repair. I was given Staffords phone number which I called -they offered next day collection by courier. I wanted to know how long would the repair take and if I would be updated about progress. I was told repair would take around 3 weeks and I would be kept informed about progress.
5 days later I heard nothing so found Staffords phone number online and called. I was surprised to find out that they hadn’t received my appliance yet. And apparently don’t offer updates.
Today after 6 weeks without my coffee machine it was delivered by a courier. I got a text message from Parcelforce about the delivery few days earlier and was expecting it. The coffee machine was well wrapped and packed in a large cardboard box. There was no paperwork. No information about the fault or how it was repaired. Not even a card with the company name.
So far I made 1 cappuccino and the frothing wand does not drip. It seems that the problem was identified and repaired. However there are number (at least 11) of VISIBLE SCRATCHES on the front and both sides of the machine.
