Great company to deal with

Great company to deal with, and would highly recommend, from an initial telephone call with Cassie who was super helpful and knowledgeable to dealing with the consultant on the day, he was not pushy like some of the others I had seen, he measured up and gave me honest advice rather than try to sell their products.

The installers did a stellar job with installing my radiators and hot water system, and even cleaned up after themselves.

Overall I am really happy with the system, my bills are cheaper, and my house is warmer!

I was hesitant to contact Sunflow initially because of some of the negative reviews, but I am so glad I did because their service and product have been excellent which is why I chose Sunflow,

Before dealing with Sunflow I had dealt with a German company who were really pushy so it was such a relief to deal with a company that were genuinely interested in my needs as opposed to selling me something I didn't need.

I would recommend that before considering other companies look at Sunflow because like me you will find them a breath of fresh air and of course, it's good to be supporting a British company.

Very dissapointed with overall experiance.

Very dissapointed with overall experience from Sunflow. Orderered two radiators which did arrive on due date but while small radiator was wrapped in bubblewrap the main radiator came in a box which was damaged so decided to open box to check only to find the it was damaged. Contacted Sunflow and 7/10 days later the replacement arrived. So went to fit rads last night and when opening the bubble wrap from the smaller radiator I found the top grill had been damaged in transit ( same as the main radiator) Fortunately I could still install radiator as it was only top panel that was damaged. When installed I could not get radiators to fire up and spent the next few hrs convincing myself that it was something I was doing wrong, switched them off then on, tried resetting (many times) and just when we were giving up, decided to try replacement batteries.... Soon as the new batteries were fitted.. Boom! Worked no problem in both the radiators. Phone Sunflow to vent my frustration AT EVERYTHING and all I got was 'I'll pass that information on'
Regards the top part that's damaged I've just turned it round so's not to see dent, but the point is I got no satisfactory feedback from Sunflow at point of phone call, just 'I'll pass that information on' Very VERY dissapointed on my overall experience considering I'd spent just short of £3000 on two radiators. 😢

We always learn from reviews.
In this particular case, response levels were below what we would expect. we have been particularly stricken by Noro Virus of late, and it has been difficult to find suitable temporrary replacements for our Customer services team, but we must aim to have a plan in place for these eventualities as no customer should feel less than satisfied with us.

Good experience, lads who fitted radiators arrived on time, tidied and cleaned up after themselves, very polite, recommended 10/10.

Fast friendly service

Fast friendly service, after the survey fitting date decided. Installers take away old heaters and install new ones and wall controls and tidy up after themselves. A booklet explains the operating instructions ,and if needed a video is available on you tube.

No support after installation and did not deliver what was promised

Would I recommend this company to a friend - NO!
Did the product do what was promised - NO!
My 87 year old mother in law could not afford the electricity bills arising from her 20 year old storage heater system. Sunflow said they could reduce costs and if they don't their guarantee is to remove the heaters and refund the cost. Well she is now using far more electricity than before and her electricity bill is £500 p.m. for a 2 bed modern flat in which she only heats one bedroom. Sunflow really do not care. Answer was just turn the thermostats down.

I was simply told turn the thermostats down. In fact they read the wrong temperature anyway. And surprise surprise, subsequent to Sunflower's response to my review there has been absolute silence. No contact, no help!

To be fair they have now been in contact with some more detailed suggestions to improve the electricity usage.

As you know we have already been in touch and sent you a personalised running cost guide.
It is highly unusual for our heating solution to cost more to run than night storage heaters.We have thousands of customers who would attest to that.
So, please do continue the contact with the customer services team, and we will do our very best to help your mother get the best out of her Sunflow heating system. It is almost impossble for these costs that your mother is incurring to occur . I am sure the team will have asked you for any bills you could provide with the before and after running costs.
We do NOT run and hide. We WILL investigate, help and advise.

I purchased 4 radiators and 2 radiators for my mums total over £5k
The first radiators installed, after being installed 10 months later looked scorched and my wall with discoloured paintwork .
After contacting Sunflow 2 months later replacement radiators have been fitted , no compensation for damaged caused to the decor , no after sales / or follow up to the problem !
Here we are again 9 months later with the same problem !!
Sunflow are claiming that the problem is dust from the carpet or flooring being trapped in the radiator itself and blowing onto the wall !
If you want discoloured wall and poor customer support then Sunflow is just for you !
I would like to post photos of the damage but I am unable to , if any customer has had the same problem I would love to hear from them !

Thank you for taking he time to write your review. We always believe that it is approproate for anyone reading you review to get the full picture. Tnis is as follow : We installed your radiators in April 22 which functioned perfectly. In early 2023 we were contacted with regards to some staining which was seen on the walls. We explained that this was likely to be Thermal Tracking or Thermal Ghosting and not directly caused by the radiators. However as a gesture of goodwill the radiators were replaced in April 23. The fact that further staining has occurred is in our opinion a clear indication that this again is a Thermal Tracking issue due to humidity and insulation levels in the property which has not been addressed.. The performance of the heaters has never been questioned.

Professional Company !!

This is a slightly odd review because I have not purchased product from Sunflow. However the company visited today to describe their product and undertake a survey. I was impressed with the description of their radiators and was warming to the idea of installing them having initially been sceptical. But halfway through the survey it became clear that it would not be practical to go ahead because too many radiators would have been needed to support the product’s normal savings against our existing storage heaters.

We live in a 435 year old property which isn’t very well insulated and has high vaulted ceilings. We were advised that we were best to stay with what we have.

This compares with a competitor which I won’t name who came to similar conclusions about the number of radiators needed but were quick to scale back for the sake of making a sale when I refused to agree to the increased number …and got rather cross with me when I decided not to proceed.

So full marks to Sunflow for being ethical enough to give me the right advice. My gut feel is that this is a company you can trust to deliver on their claims for their product

I was very disappointed with Sunflow

I was very disappointed with SunflowI booked 3 to be fitted in Nov they cancelled twice, I cancelled 2 as wanted them for Christmas. They fitted one two days ago. The radiator is fine but I’m horrified , they were here for one hour and charged over £400 for fitting one . Not a good outcome. Very disappointed. Jackie Eddy

Thanks for your review. I agree that ths is disappointing in terms of the cancellations and for that I apologise. We do not willfully cancel installs as we know the disruption this causes for you our customer, and it is our means of income.
With regards to the fitting costs, we always show these on our quote. Sometimes customers choose the supply only option and get a local electrician to fit - this is likely to cost much less as we will always have to charge a day rate for our tems to drive to a loaction . When we only install one or two rdiators we only charge half day.
You atre fully entitled to your view on this charge, but you are also entitled to choose an alternative installation routs.

Solid radiators, good customer service

Installed in early 2022, faulty radiator switch appeared in December 2023 and has been sorted after a couple of calls to customer service - Sophie in the department is great and very understanding. The heating system itself is easy to use and works for a small flat - I have the wifi enabled thermostats which are a nice plus.

Thank you Nick Felsing. I reached out to you for advice today and found you to be so knowledgeable,transparent and incredibly helpful. How I wish we had chosen Sunflow instead of a supplier that has mis-sold an unsuitable unaffordable electric system. Sunflow do not employ commission based sales people and adhere to ethical selling practices. This is really important as this particular industry is not regulated, do not opt for a leading brand without checking their reputation and customer satisfaction.

We really do back our mission statement that 'everyone has the right to a warm home that doesn't cost the earth'. You have unfortunately had a really poor and distressing experience with an unhelpful supplier who seems tohave negated that fact that you have any consumer rights at all. Really really poor. I am glad I/we could help, and will continue to help you in any way we can to weed out unscrupulous selling tactics. As I said to you this morning, you are not the heating engineer - but you have the right to have a fair hearing and response from a company that did not share information that they should have before they sold to you.

I love these radiators

I love these radiators - they look fantastic and i love that now i can turn individual radiators on and off by each room rather than having to heat the whole house every time. the app works really well and the radiators really heat the rooms up. very pleased with the upgrade.

Nonexistent after sales

Went to see my mother in law yesterday day to sort out a problem with her Sunflow heating.
Target temperature 8 degrees.
Actually temperature 28.6 degrees.
She rang sunflow and was told that there was a problem with the heater and someone would ring back to make an appointment.
No phone call.
My mother in law is in her 90’s.
Not very well and having to put up with faulty heating running up massive bills.
How high will this temperature go who knows.
After sales service is nonexistent.

Good morning Kevin - thank you for your review. Of course, it is always disappointing to receive a poor review, and especially in the circumstances that you describe. I believe that the review from Su Jones today may well be the same case, so doubly disappointing. When youread back in our review we have made significant efforts to improve all aspects of our customer service, and prio to October 16th this year, we have been complaint free since December last year .
However, every case is individual and we need to address YOUR specific complaint.
We ask for warranty details so that we can find the whole history of our relasnipthips with the custmer - this is usually reflected by sending us a picture of the order document which will have been left. We do hold electronic copies for any order post 2019 when the company ownership changed hands. If at the same time you could send a picture of the front of the thermostat with the issue that would be extremely helpful. If you are willing to send these details to support@sunflowltd.co.uk your specific case will be dealt with at the highest level, as quickly as possible.
Of course, I am also aware that the 'real' problem is that your mother-in-law has a room without heating. We are not a company that does not take this into consideration.

my 91 year old mum has got a problem…

my 91 year old mum has got a problem with her Sunflow heating, among other things the thermostat isnt working in the living room, heating is belting out even tho the thermostat is set low, she's disabled and poorly with a temperature at the moment.
She rang yesterday and he took down all the details of the problems and said he would call her back with an appointments. No phone call came. She rang them today to say she cant live like this was told there's nothing they can do and they may ring next week cos they're very busy. She has had a E mail asking her to now send them a copy of the warranty !!! surely they've got a copy of it , and, being 91 doesn't know how to do this.
From reading the reviews I take its that Sunflow are very good at installing the system, but not good at dealing with problems, if they're too busy to see a 91 year old disabled lady maybe they should stop doing installations.

What’s Not To Like?

My message is simple: as a potential customer have no qualms about inviting Sunflow to do a survey. Marty did a survey for us and we were hugely impressed with his professionalism. Rare these days to meet someone so knowledgeable and passionate about the products and the company they work for. Marty was patient and skilled at explaining what could be a complex installation in simple and straightforward terms. Clearly on top of his game and most personable. A joy to meet and great ambassador for Sunflow. Sadly, it transpired that for us to go forward would require more electrical work than we anticipated. Nevertheless, we were left in no doubt about the quality of the products or the Sunflow team. I’ve never given a review for a company I’ve not contracted so that speaks for itself. Our loss could be your gain.

Much is made in modern speak of the 'Customer Journey', and as you point out, not all encounters end up in a sale, but as long as we convey information transparently you WILL find out what solution you should consider, and, more importantly not have a solution foisted on you which you would eventually discove as unsuitable for your needs. We booked in Sunflow for a visually impaired friend. The guys were brilliant. When they came to quote they discussed everything and there was no pressure. We booked in and they came in the morning. Took his old storage heaters away and put in the new radiators. You couldn’t even tell they’d been, no mess and even rang in the way home to double check we were habit with everything
