Tesco gift card are THIEVES

If possible I would give 0,we bought a £30, gift card for my mums birthday the code NEVER arrived after countless phone calls they eventually sent a code. My mum then tried to use the code and guess what it did not work...!!@
Made several complaints and no money back.
Therefore Tesco gift card are no more than COMMON THIEVES... please take me to court for slander and show the judge what happened to the £30

BEWARE of Spotify egift cards through Tesco. My error entering the wrong email address but 14 days on and still no refund for £120. Multiple requests sent via the contact form. Terrible service. Needs investigating by Trading Standards.

Faulty giftcard and no Customer support that works…

I bought a giftcard and passed on the number and code for a friend to redeem, however balance is nil, I checked the balance- it says i purchased it today and also balance is nl and my friend has not redeemed it, Trying to contact and check what the issue is - is a joke, the communication capcha asked you all the time to complate busses or bicycles, etc, but when you get through it wants a 8 digit reference number- WHAT is this suposed to be? its not the number on the giftcard, i wish i had read these reviews before purchasing one of these tesco giftcards. I CANNOT get through on their useless un helpful - so called help form. They apparantly have a whole team to assist in complaints- yeah right. This AI option that does not help you to get your point across is diabolical. Its seriously making me feel that tesco are not worth my custom for groceries etc any more. im so annoyed that i cant sort this out, no real help offered, just useless forms and non existant customer support. Here is an idea- Tesco should test their customer complaints procedure and experience the pain all of their customers experience, bu trying to fill in a complaint themselves- maybe then they may improve this non helpful service they offer when they see how useless it is.

DO NOT USE.

If I could give zero stars I would. Ordered a gift card back in January 2026 and never received it.

All spam and junk folders were checked.

Nothing.

I contacted them and heard nothing.

Finally this morning over a month later I received a reply saying they sent it. They didn't. It was a simple generic copy and paste reply.

This company is nothing to do with Tesco's and I urge people NOT to use them.

I feel they've stolen £40 from me and I'd implore everyone to think twice before using this company

Terrible all round

I have had to buy a few of tescos own gift cards for my son over the last year. I just cannot understand why, as these are electronic gift cards, they take up to 12 hours to arrive. The money gets taken instantly of course.
There is no way to contact them as the contact form doesn't work. It asks for Capture but there is no Capture there for you to prove you are human, so it won't send your message. There is no phone number.
It's absolutely shocking from such a big company.
I have been waiting 9 hours so far today for the card I ordered this morning to arrive. I won't be using them again.

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs! I tried to make a £50 gift, all seemed to go through but I didn't receive an e-mail confirmation but at least there isn't a deduction from my bank account. I then tried a £1 gift card for myself as a test & that worked so I did a small (£5) gift to the person I wanted to give it to, had a confirmation e-mail but no gift sent nor bank deduction. I then tried to put all of this on the Tesco help system & when pressed " submit" it wouldn't as " capitcha" required, pressed this and nothing happened. There isn't a phone number to contact Tesco. The system is dreadfull & I would advise people not to use it.

Terrible experience and fraudulent practices. They offer a refund within 14 days if you contact them but the only way to contact them is via a contact form on the website which doesn’t work. After speaking with Tesco directly who also couldn’t help, they did fill in the contact form for me and after 3 weeks of chasing still no refund. Trading standards have been informed.

Great experience buying gift cards for myself.

I purchased the Nike and Uber cards that are on offer to take advantage of the discount. Both cards were delivered promptly, and I was able to redeem them right away.

Have used the site before, and much easier now they've added Apple Pay too.

Got 2X £10 eRoblox gift cards, received promptly after, admittedly I was suspicious of the website at first but it all came through. Reedem codes with no issues and kids are happy

Odeon voucher didn't work - still waiting for refund 2 months later

I bought a voucher for Odeon cinemas in good faith from this website. The voucher arrived, but never worked on the Odeon website. I've bought similar vouchers from Amazon and Groupon before, and those worked fine.
The small print on the email I received with the voucher says to wait up to 60 minutes for the voucher to activate. After waiting 2 hours the voucher still didn't work. Now trying to get a refund, but 2 months later I'm yet to receive anything. I've sent various emails. I have received a response, but only to say they are busy and dealing with other customers - yeah sure, I can believe it! I'll keep pursuing.
Note this website is managed by Blackhawk Network (Europe) Limited. You can google their website. However, customer service emails are coming from waivpay.com. This operation has almost nothing to do with Tesco, which is a shame as I would expect better service if I could deal with Tesco direct. Tesco should know how bad this service is.

Never buy a voucher from here or any supermarket.

I brought our niece a Nike voucher from Tesco's, she went into a Nike store only to be told it had already been activated and used. Took it back to Tesco's who told us we must have used it. Our niece was upset and we are 30.00 down. I would never purchase a voucher for any store from Tesco's again.

Tesco "Birthday" Gift Card Runaround

I received a £30 Tesco "Birthday" gift card on 12-May-25. BEFORE using it in store on 02-Jul-25, I confirmed with customer services that I could use the balance on different days until expended. I then made a purchase of £10.59. I next tried to use it on 26-Jul-25 on a purchase of £17.35: it was declined, no reason given. On 09-Sep-25, I 'phoned the number on the card to sort out the problem. The USA accented automated system told me to type a number - which I did correctly. It then thanked me for calling and ended the call. On my third call, I was able to enter the card number. It then asked for a PIN number - WHAT PIN NUMBER?! It's a total mess around, I would expect better from Tesco. I'm boycotting their stores until this is resolved.

There is no chance to contact them if something goes wrong. The online contact form doesn't work.. Tesco support sends you to the seller because it's a 3rd party. Blackhawk Network (who is the 3rd party) sends you back to Tesco. There is no way to get your money back. Don't buy from them

They don't always work

I've bought several Apple gift cards recently and been able to use them without a problem. The last two have not allowed me to access the funds showing errors. I have contacted Tesco without any success so far.

Zero star

Purchased a digital e gift card for a friend and sent it via text, they didn't receive it. I have tweeted and filled out a form. The process is so slow, they are so quick to take people money.
