Really and truly diabolical on every level. They never fund the account so it’s impossible to spend this so called “perk” - seriously how hard is it to keep money in there so we can spend it?? It’s happened so many times now, very amateur and unprofessional. The support team are slow and unbothered. The app also never works properly. Employers SEEK AN ALTERNATIVE as this is hell.
Disputing a Charge
I had a bad experience with a merchant charging my card. I reached out to them via their process. They never got back to me. So I reached out to Fidelity to see if we could dispute the transaction. They were great and took the worry and trouble out of my hands. It took time. But that is normal if you ask me. Everyone was kind and knowledgeable. They explained everything to me. I didn't have any issues. In the end the charge was returned to me. My card was replaced and everything is well. Thank you Ben!!
Truly diabolical service for employees…
Truly diabolical service for employees who are actually trying to use it. Impossible to actually spend money on the card...HR Managers, DO NOT sign up for this, it's excruciatingly poor...
I wish I could give them a good review…
I wish I could give them a good review but It's close to 2 months already since I got signed up, still they haven't been able to provide me with a solution to my user not being able to register, many things happened, account being locked out, two entries in database, and many more excuses. Honestly I'm getting tired, I still cant register/log-in, so I started paying from my own wallet medical expenses although I'm paying for coverage because I can't wait anymore, I'm pretty much paying for a service I can't use, this is frustrating.

Terrible service full of bota
If I could, I’d give it a zero star.
I had an issue with a payment and I need that money back to my account but no one is responding. There’s no support during weekend time and the chat box is like talking to a wall. No one replies either by chat nor by email and they have no other way to contact them. I asked my company if they can contact them as they probably have a direct support and nothing, they won’t reply to them either. Truly an awful customer service.
Great Fast Service from Support team.
I had input my checking account number and routing number incorrectly, once I fixed it and messaged the support team, my reimbursements went through that same day without any issue. Great service, thank you.
Jumping through endless hoops to use
Way to make it impossible for employees to use their cash. Like honestly the mastercard doesn't seem to work on most site, you can only speak to robots to get any sort of help.
Cool concept but the execution is failing
Cool concept, but the benefits (such as Medicash) take a long time to activate, and the customer support team is extremely slow to respond and resolve issues. Such a shame, I wish they could get better because the service makes perfect sense.
Terrible service
I need to amend a benefit that can only be done via contacting ThanksBen customer support. The only available route is asking an AI chatbot to connect you to a human. I've asked for a human multiple times this week and, whilst the 'typical response time' is allegedly a matter of hours, I have not received a response all week. My matter is time sensitive so frankly this a complete joke and I'll definitely be raising this complaint with my HR team.

Don't be fooled by the shiny browser and app, customer service is poor
The web tool / process is simple enough to follow, it looks good. But then it goes wrong.
As an employee with benefits, when you have opted in, you expect them to be there, to use.
I thought I had family Medical cover, the Ben portal says I do and it's been active for some time, but the Medical insurance company behind this didn't have any details of cover.
I tried contacting "Ben" via the portal, responses are slow (waiting hours), all to be left hanging saying "it's with our admin team". No updates, no nothing. So far today 4 hours waiting for a chat response from an agent.
For someone who requires urgent cover under a policy they thought they had, this is completely unacceptable.
Have raised a complaint with "Ben"

Confusing/alarming about opt in/out emails and "take action" messages, even if you already did it.
Also says cost 0 for me but I pay taxes on it later :(

Frequently experience issues
Frequently experience issues with my Thanks Ben portal, as well as my Thanks Ben digital wallet / card getting declined, leaving me unable to spend on it.
When issues do arise, fixes are very slow, and the onlyway of getting updates is by chasing their support daily, but only to get an update that there is no update.
My latest issue is that my employer offers cycle to work, but when I click on the benefit the page never loads. After chasing support for a week, they advised a fix had been made but now the benefit has been completely removed from my portal!

Dear HR, please don't choose this service
As a user of the service: simply awful! The card keeps being declined for days, assistance is nowhere to be found.
If you want to give benefits to your employees that they won't be able to use this is a great platform!

Our company previously used ThanksBen
Our company previously used ThanksBen, and switching to a competitor was a regrettable decision. With Ben, employee management was flawless—wallet top-ups were always timely, and accessing funds was effortless. Everything just worked as expected.
Unfortunately, our experience with the new provider has been far from smooth. The solution was supposed to go live in January, but we couldn’t access our benefits until April—a three-month delay that caused significant frustration. Even after onboarding, we’ve faced recurring issues, including delayed wallet top-ups and difficulties accessing their app. These problems have not only disappointed our employees but also created a heavy administrative burden for our HR team, leading to numerous complaints and wasted time. Ultimately, this decision did not reflect well on the HR team, as it undermined employee confidence in their ability to manage and deliver critical benefits.
In hindsight, the employee experience with Ben was truly outstanding, and moving away from it was a mistake. I highly recommend Ben to any organization that values a seamless, top-tier experience for their employees and wants to maintain trust and credibility within their teams.

I've used several employee benefit platforms over the years at previous employers, and Ben is by far the most user-friendly!
The platform offers a wide range of great options to choose from, and the Ben Mastercard gives me a flexible fund I can use to support my wellbeing.
