Bought some 100 x 50mm treated timber from TP to replace some 4" x2"s on some decking. When i Got it home it turns out to be 'finished' 38 x 89mm. which is only 3 1/2" by 1 1/2"! I cut it up to fit in the car so cant take it back. Travis Perkins 38mm is not 2 inches.First and last purchase.

I ordered railway sleepers from Travis Perkins, Tonbridge. Sadly not a lot in the way of communication about my order, but a huge thank you to the delivery driver, Mark, who took the time to crane the delivery into our garden.

Mark is a advertisement for the company.

Staff at the Radcliffe branch were really helpful and free delivery and the best price for my NEHH angled cooker hood ( seperate review). The delivery driver was friendly and obliging, a 5* expyall round

Rory at Borehamwood was very helpful and responsive. Got me pricing quickly, arranged anything efficiently. Some of the goods came damaged but he quickly sorted that out. Need more Rorys !

Great Customer Service from the whole team. They were all so helpful, friendly and professional. The are definitely 5 star

Very disappointed with the service.

I placed a small order this morning for boards needed to get a digger across a driveway and onto a new building site. I selected and paid in full for Monday morning delivery, as timing was critical to keep the project moving.

Just over an hour later I received a voicemail from the Worcester branch saying they no longer had space to deliver on Monday and could only offer Tuesday instead.

I immediately called and requested a full refund. If Monday delivery wasn’t available, the order shouldn’t have been accepted and paid for in the first place.

Unfortunately, this has also cost Travis Perkins the opportunity to supply materials for two new four-bedroom house builds, as reliability is essential when choosing a supplier for larger projects.

A very poor first impression, and not the level of service I’d expect from a national builders’ merchant

I orderd 4 packs of Claydon multi red bricks 2 packs were faulty looked like they had been sat in a field for two years they set me 2 new packs out to replace and they were just has bad I rang them and told them they said they would send more even sent me pictures of the bricks I said they look ok so they arranged to be delivered the next day 5 hours later they rang me and said they would not be sending them out because I would only send them back even though they had sent me pictures of the new bricks I think the ones they sold me were seconds repacked if you want to see pictures I have them to send now they have left us having to get the bricks to finish the job else were

They have added delivery charges or £30 to orders under £150 when last night it was free over £100. WICKES WILL DELIVER TO ME OVER 30MILES FOR £5, TRAVIS PERKINS WILL NOT DELIVER FOR 3 MILES FOR LESS THAN £30.
This is the first time in my life ever stepping foot into a Travis Perkins to attempt to purchase products, this is also the very first room/order ill be making while attempting renovation on my home and im starting by replacing the subfloor a MASSIVE amount of work to do to feel screwed by delivery extortion.
I will not use ANY TRADE PERSON going forward who purchases items from travis perkins if i need help on other jobs, nor will i purchase myself.
speaking to a staff member while trying to make an order was like talking to ai, she can get replaced no problem. not helpful at all.
if theyres one thing i hate more than being lied to is when businesses con their customers and think we should just deal with it. NOT ME. DONT LET IT BE YOU TOO!

Chris and Ricky are fantastic. Not only very helpful, but also saved us money. We had been to HuwsGrays for a Quote which they not only matched but gave us a superior product. They were both also very helpful with their advice and product recommendations. Another member of staff whose name escapes me (apologies) was also very helpful.

Next day delivery, turned up at 1.30pm, had labourer at house at 9, considering we are 5 minutes drive from the depot, expected earlier delivery, very disappointed, could have gone with another company who could have delivered on the Thursday but early morning.

We wanted a few decking boards to finish a DIY project. Travis Perkins decking came in much cheaper than anyone else. I was not sure if they would sell to us because it was such a small order but they were brilliant. Excellent customer service, very good value for money and extremely friendly. Shout out to Shrewsbury branch will definately be back!

Amy who was serving us in the Tiverton branch - was helpful, knowledgable and cheerful (despite the heat!)

I recently had composite decking delivered by Travis Perkins on behalf of Ecodek.

The delivery was scheduled sensitively due to a family bereavement and delivered on time, promptly by the driver Daniel (FJ23 XVP).

Nothing was too much trouble and Daniel was able to lift the materials into my back garden saving me a lot of "hand balling" from the original delivery point.

Tremendous service, prompt, courteous and very accomodating.

I've been a loyal Travis Perkins customer for many years and have spent a significant amount with the company. All I wanted was to change the name on an account because the business name had changed before we started a house build. The business itself hadn't changed, just the name. Instead of finding a sensible solution, Travis Perkins closed the account. To make matters even worse, they also closed a linked account for no apparent reason.

What has disappointed me most is the complete lack of customer service. I've tried contacting customer services by both email and phone and got absolutely nowhere. Nobody from head office had the courtesy to respond before deciding to close both accounts, despite the branch manager agreeing the situation could and should have been handled far better.

The local branch staff have been helpful throughout and have done what they can, but it's obvious they're not getting the support they need from head office. The backup they're receiving is lacking, to say the least, and customers are the ones paying the price.

Since this happened, I've spoken to a number of local builders, and the overwhelming opinion is that Travis Perkins simply isn't the company it used to be. Time and again I've been told that competitors now offer far better service, particularly when something goes wrong. Sadly, I now understand exactly what they mean.

Customer loyalty appears to count for nothing. Rather than working with a long-standing customer to resolve a straightforward administrative issue, Travis Perkins chose the easiest option—closing accounts without discussion or explanation.

And please don't bother replying with the standard "We're sorry to hear this, please contact us" response. I've already contacted you repeatedly by email and phone, and you've had every opportunity to resolve this. If you simply replied to the emails you've already received from me instead of sending generic responses, you'd find everything you need.

You've lost a loyal customer, and based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend Travis Perkins to anyone looking for reliable customer service or support when problems arise.

As requested, I emailed Nick Bowen on 17 July and, to date, I have received no response whatsoever. That suggests either Travis Perkins is completely disorganised or simply doesn't care about its customers.

It's not really an issue for me anymore, as I've now sourced and priced most of the materials through your competitors. However, it's disappointing that despite being invited to make contact, no one followed through.

I had hoped for better customer service from a company of this size.

The delivery driver Scott was really friendly and went out of his way to be helpful other drivers caused us problems whereas Scott went out of his way to help with any problems boom thing on his lorry wouldn’t come out for him drop materials on his own initiative he dug a trench to solve the problem and did his best to put materials where we needed them .

They sell Neue appliances which aren't fit for purpose & you can't write a product review on their website for some reason. If you buy a New Build with Neue products, you know the builder is using dirt cheap crap from TP.

Ordered online for a large builders bag of ballast, cement and some cable. There was no contact fom the delivering branch, and delivery was still showing for 27 June. Emailed on morning of 27th June, and get a reply stating that the cable was out of stock and they had put the whole delivery back until Wednesday. This is absolutely ridiculous. They could have contacted me first to see if this is acceptable, and I would have been happy t have collected the cable from branch when it is in stock. No. There was no contact at all from them - what sort of customer service is this? I feel totally let down, and now unable to lay the base for my summerhouse that will be delivered on Thursday.

Based on this experience, I will never use nor recommend Travis Perkins to anyone - complete customer service failure and lack of communication.

Keswick Travis Perkins , I always think giving praise where due should be something we all should do , the staff here from Steve and the lads in the yard to Cody and Jacob in the office are a pleasure to visit , efficient , pleasant and nothing is too much trouble. We are based in Kendal area so a different depot to use but well pleased. Cody has really helped and not only made our life easier but our customer has remarked about her organisation and attitude . Top marks. Now I have to state though when she was off we had a replacement called Lewis Harkness, this lad should not be in an office his attitude (calling or e mailing with opening line hello pal is not proffesional) his attention to detail is lacking we went in twice in one day first thing and then afterr lunch fot two bulk bags of grit sand he not only charged different rates for the same material but also did not check I had rates arranged , poor Cody had to sort it out and it seems I was not the only one that day . lets put it this way if he was in charge here I would be looking elsewhere for materials. I think he need s a retrain . Sorry to end on this note but if as i said praise is not given you do not know and the same for poor service .
