LOW QUALITY ITEMS BAD SERVICE

Very poor quality clothing with very bad “styling”. After writing for a request of a refund they stated that they do not offer any returns for refunds and to view their terms and conditions. I find it very petty for a company to hide important information like that in their terms rather than having it stated before purchase.

Not As Advertised

Do not expect what you see advertised. I got two boxes that didn’t match the trends nor meet my do not send criteria they ask you to detail in the subscription. The tops both seemed very low quality and UGLY. Plus, each order took over three weeks to style. Wish I could send pictures and their responses to my complaints. They really put no effort into CustomerCare.

Bad bad bad .crappy clothes not what…

Bad bad bad .crappy clothes not what they say it is . Dont pay attention to style . And clothes are cheap. Boxes always late and hard as hell for any kind of refund . Its stupid.

While we don't typically process refunds as our Terms and Conditions mention that we allow for exchanges of goods, we ended up accommodating your requests and refunded your purchases made with us.

Third time was not a charm. Still glad I tried it, though.

I am sharing this experience following box #3 from Trendy Butler. While there are some redeeming aspects to my experience (pretty good, responsive customer service, and a few cool items received overall), I am disappointed. The one basic thing I was hoping for was for this service to get better and better, based on my feedback after each box. I don't feel that has happened; in fact, it seems to be moving in the wrong direction.

Let's talk about the items I actually received. Some of these were replacements for previous items that I returned for an exchange. Others were simply the new items I would have gotten anyway due to the fact of this being my third and final shipment that I'd already paid for.

Careless in Sao Paulo Short Sleeve Shirt (Passport): A red pattern on white base, blue trim on the sleeves. Good fit, fun and different enough for me to keep, so I did. I can get away with wearing it at work most days, and it works as a casual shirt as well. No big complaints. The build quality is slightly lower than I would like, but probably on par with similar off-the-rack styles from Old Navy or various mid-tier department stores. I believe the jean jacket I received in a prior shipment was also from Passport.

Lyonese Short Sleeve Shirt (Trouvaille): A basic white button up. I actually really like the fit, but there is absolutely nothing else interesting about this shirt. Quality seems to be the same as the other shirt.

Sebastian Chino Shorts (Trouvaille): Navy shorts with a white button. Also uninteresting. Felt like decent quality, though.

Drawstring Walking Shorts (Tailor Vintage): Sort of duty green short. These were sent to me in a size 40 waist (I'm a 31). Granted, these were tagged incorrectly (paper tag, that is). Aside from being huge on me, these are kid of frumpy, way too casual and drab. I'm sure that style works for some people, but not me. The color is also reminiscent of...an old-school hospital waiting room...or something else that feels stale and dated. Almost felt like swim shorts.

Magnetic Money Clip (Kiko Leather): I think this is a cool accessory, but not for me (since I rarely carry cash anyway). I will keep it and gift it to someone.

I would have appreciated the effort or variety of having even one long sleeve shirt and/or pant in this box.

Final thoughts...
-I am not confident that Trendy Butler understands my style preferences yet. I have no idea as to whether they think they do, or if they want more input. This is an area where they fall short compared to other similar services/subscriptions. I am surprised at the overall lack of fashion-forward items in my boxes.
-Mistakes happen, but I am really disappointed that they sent me something in the wrong size. In my opinion, that should never be allowed to occur.
-Overall, the quality of clothing has not been as high as I hoped.
Perhaps this is related to their suppliers being new/small/lesser known entities...I don't know. That said, a few items were totally acceptable/good in terms of quality.
-I WAS tempted to get one more box to try and get some fall fashion...I want some heavier pieces, a nice sweater, etc...I'm a little disappointed that the clothes in my last box consisted of ONLY short sleeve shirts and shorts.
-Based on my experience (not just with this box, but all 3 to date), I am not planning to renew my subscription.
-Despite the lows of my experience, I still received a few items that I really like. For the price, I would recommend that folks try it out. I suspect that customer experiences will vary widely, and even the same customer may feel like one box is perfect while the next is a total miss. Again, the relatively low price point still makes this a worthwhile adventure, in my opinion.
-I am speculating here, but I think it MAY be possible to influence your boxes a bit more by working with customer service. I wish I would have explicitly requested that my 2nd and 3rd boxes contain more aggressively fashion-forward pieces (granted, I did provide feedback on the items I received). I believe that they want to minimize how much they/we utilize humans outside of basic logistical inquiries (in other words, they want us to trust their algorithms and such), but sometimes a human touch may be the only way to a returning happy customer.

While we do our best to accommodate these requests, there are times that we, unfortunately, can't guarantee specific items or types of clothing.

STAY AWAY!

STAY AWAY!! I have cancelled subscription but they continue to charge me and ship their product that I DO NOT WANT I simply want my subscription cancelled. I have cancelled on their website so many times that the templet is saved in my computer. The clothing is cheap and sized incorrectly.

I'd like to confirm that your account has been cancelled as of today, 09/04/2019. You will no longer receive any Trendy Butler boxes or charges moving forward. We have also emailed you a shipping label and RMA (return for refund) so that you can send back the items received. Please make sure these forms are included with the return shipment.

Once the items are delivered back to our warehouse, please allow for up to 4 business days to process them into our system. As soon as your items have been confirmed by our staff, we will be sure to refund your account. Our support team will monitor the tracking of your shipment and we'll be sure to update you right away.

Clothes are decent, but not $65 decent.

Clothes are decent (cargo shorts and dress shirt), but not $65 decent.

One of the clothing, the cargo shorts looks like something out of H&M. The Butlers have good taste but I don't know how these items average to be $150 worth of clothes. Even with the promo of me using this service for the first time for $35, 2 items isn't enough for $65. Right now I'm going to save my money, maybe use the service in the future, but I don't know.

Also, if you try to remove your payment method you can only "update it" as in update the card number or month/year but you can't "remove it" completely from the site.
