Friendly, helpful service. Fitters did a good job. Cleaned up and tidied waste away. Would thoroughly recommend

Polite, on time, curious and friendly, plesent.

Very pleased with the bed. It was for my mother in law who is well into her 70s and now registered as blind so it’s a good job we are near enough to go and put the bed together. Wasn’t made clear that it was self assembly.
Delivery side of things was good

Absolutely smashing. Amazing customer service and overall quality installation of the carpets. Super friendly and got the job done pretty quick. Highly recommend carpets united again if anyone is looking of getting carpet fitted anytime soon.

I was totally gobsmacked when the carpet fitters damaged my new bedroom chest of drawers. United carpets have just washed their hand of it, leaving it with the carpet fitters!!!! The carpet fitters won’t even reply to call or texted. I’m left with ruined chest of drawers…. So sad. VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE…. BEWARE🥲
After united carpets response to my review, I’ve emailed…. They still have done nothing. I’ll keep you posted xxx

Lovely lady in shop, very helpful and obliging. Kept in touch with us.
Fitters were not so good; didn’t message on their way as stated would. Just turned up with no timeframe warning. Didn’t fit door bar treads very well. Manager in shop was a little rude and he was unhelpful. Got refund for fitters incorrect bar tread fitting.

Fantastic service and wonderful service will most certainly use again

Received good advice regarding the correct floor covering type for our needs. We were then assisted to find the correct item for our needs in the price range we had in mind. Then full communication over the delivery date.

Excellent quality carpet laid well. Really happy with everything from start to finish.

Unfriendly manageress with an attitude problem in the shop.
Never answer their telephones so very difficult to chase up an order.
Carpet fitters left a complete and utter mess in the bedrooms, with carpet remnants and polythene everywhere and said it wasn’t their job to clean up afterwards, took us ages to get the rooms neat and tidy afterwards.
Avoid at all costs.

Great choice of carpets very friendly, free fitting on selected carpets, the only downfall was when it was fitted, the door bars was too high and loose, I had the same place do my carpets before and I could still close my doors but this time I couldn't, same thickness carpet and underlay it was down to the floor bars

Absolutely awful experience. Communication was dreadful, store manager Jo spoke to me in such a patronising manner, I had to stop her mid conversation.
Carpet fitter left all his tools in my room after he'd left, used my bathroom and flooded my house.
United Carpets have completely sided with him and are ignoring all my calls and emails. Unfortunately have had to go to Trading Standards because of it.

From the initial purchase and through to fitting we was kept well informed the pricing was very good and would recommend the Melton mowbray branch and will use again

Andrew helped us with measuring up our new home. Nothing was too much trouble and we were fitted and measured within a week. Super job all round. Well done Melton Mowbray allied carpets.

Fantastic customer service from lady in shop today

Having been let down by another firm who clean carpets we needed to have our carpet re-fitted as it was wet underneath on underlay so had to roll carpet up and let it dry which took 3 days. My husband rang United Carpets today and explained our plight . We had purchased the carpet from them 2 years ago. Jo the lady who answered was very helpful and said 2 fitters would come out some time today. They arrived and sorted the carpet out for us and were very pleasant. We were so pleased as could use our living room again after 10 days. Top marks to Brendan and David for their help.

Really poor. Used them to replace stairs, landing and 2 bedroom carpets. The fitters did a poor job on landing and stairs. Contacted the shop who attempted to side step responsibility, but photos proved the poor fitting. I had to physically go back into the shop and insist they book the corrective fitting as they were not being cooperative on the telephone. When fitters did return to replace they refused to take their additional rubbish with them (that would not be there had they done the job correctly in first instance). Again the shop was uncooperative. I would not recommend this particular branch to anyone.

I would wish to express my disappointment and upset with the level of service and customer service from your Melton Mowbray branch.
On the 24th March, a member of your team measured the floors in the property. That evening we ordered and paid for the carpets. (Carpets upstairs, laminate downstairs). At this meeting we came to an arrangement with Andrew that we would uplift all the rooms in preparation for fitting and that the fitters would dispose of the old carpet for £100. The day of fitting was arranged for the 1st April. The 1st of April came, and the fitters fitted the carpets were required, but they weren’t made aware of old carpet collection for disposal. This led us to liaise with the office to arrange for this already paid for service. The fitters returned and disposed of old carpet.
Overnight we changed our minds on the laminate and decided to drop in to the branch to discuss switching the laminate for the same carpet and pay any excess. On entering the branch, the lady behind the desk greeted us with anger and contempt because the old carpet was too much for their skip and was now laying behind the back of the building. She took great delight in telling us that she would now have to arrange a special collection with would cost them more than the £100 we paid and took us round the back to show us. We explained that Andrew agreed on the amount of the disposal and she answered rudely ‘well he was wrong’. Once she calmed down and realised it wasn’t our fault she was over friendly and touchy. We agreed to amend the order and await next fitting date for carpets downstairs which we understood and was fine.
Week commencing the 3rd I had to chase for an updated invoice (extra charge for carpet) and a new fitting date. After agreeing with the new invoice total we were told the next suitable fitting date would be the 15th April. I rang on the morning of the 15th to get an estimated time for the fitters arrival, it was at this point I was told they weren’t coming today, but we were offered the following day which we accepted. The new fitter turned up on the 16th, did a quick measure of the rooms he was fitting and found that the carpet for the lounge/diner was measured 20 centimetres too short and he couldn’t fit today, only the hallway could have been done. However I rang the branch and after much deliberation I came to a compromise to have the lounge carpeted and the dining room left to be done at a future date but this would leave a join at the centre of the through lounge/diner. On close inspection after the fitters had left we were not satisfied with the fitting around the chimney column and there is a fold line mark in the hallway. We emailed to express our concerns and only had a reply on the 5th May with no apologies and advising the fitter coming on the 6th of May can rectify.
On the 20th I rang the branch as I hadn’t heard from anyone regarding a new fitting date, once again she was very short and abrupt with me but we finally set a new date which was scheduled for the 29th for the fitting of the dining room carpet. On the 29th, AGAIN I rang to get an estimated time of arrival of the fitter, and AGAIN I was told they weren’t coming today due to illness which she didn’t believe was true and said this phone is causing her PTSD and wish she could just sack the fitters as they are useless and don’t want to work. I was very upset and stunned at how she was talking to me especially after parting with such a large sum of money on the services and goods which are still not complete over a month and no one cares about fixing this issue. I asked when she was going to ring and inform me of the cancellation today which she replied I was on the list of ‘millions’ to contact. She was very rude answering the phone, asking me very abruptly ‘what’s your name’! We are appalled with the service we have witnessed so far and would like some compensation for the massive inconvenience and the rudeness we have had to endure from the members of your branch. We now have a new date 6th of May for the dining room fit which we have serious reservations will it actually happen!

Please do not reply with your generic ‘contact the aftersales team’, we have already done that before writing this review and they aren’t able to do anything, only the Branch can fix the issue. Please respond with an alternative solution.
