CRAP, WASTE OF MONEY.
After many attempts to get in it finally allowed me. They said they had my van but they didn't so I used dimensions to make it and all I got was a box on the back. Really crap!!!. I persued to try to make things inside the box but nothing was like what they advertised. I emailed them but no reply. I sent messages on their facebook site and again no reply. Absolute waste of money. Better off drawing your design on a bit of paper.

Thank you for your review however after searching our full database, I was unable to locate any account in the same of Michael Koziovsky or variation of.
I am also unable to locate any emails sent to us in this name.
1. Our V3 Custom template does not generate a box unless you only enter the width, height and length dimensions. The features are there for you to also create the slopes and curves of the walls accurately.
2. We do not ignore anyones email. We respond to all that we receive and are available via Live Chat and Facebook Messenger also.
3. Drawing your design is nowhere near as much fun, it also will not provide you with 3D images such as these https://www.facebook.com/vanspace3DS/videos/630929764738973
$19 is an amazingly low price and will be going up to $47 at the end of the month. There is no other software dedicated to van conversion that allows you to create anything similar.

Trust the bad reviews
UPDATE: Got a response from customer service who told me that have "new software". The new software is a series of broken links lol. They also blocked me on FB and IG to hide my comments. What a stand up group of people!
Trust the bad reviews, the software is terrible. All of those glossy videos they've made for Facebook and Youtube advertising are impossible to replicate. The software is so horrible in fact that they can't even get the login page to work correctly. The "remember me" login option doesn't work, and there is no connection between their browser page and App. Changing your account information will not transfer over.
Furthermore, once you download the software, it looks like something from the 90's and functions about the same as well. Even the "Tutorial" link from the App is gets blocked by your computer as an untrustworthy site regardless of the browser you use.
The software is hard to use and not remotely user friendly. Their claim that you can build a van in a matter of hours and thats why they "don't do free trials" is a total lie. They don't do free trails because no one would buy this garbage once they see what it actually is. Its a scam and they've spent all of their money creating trick videos for their advertising. Steer clear, save yourself the headache, money, and computer space.

I wanted to respond personally to this review as I was the one that gave authorisation to block you from being able to comment any further.
Copying and pasting the same comment multiple times on each Social Media platform, seeking out different threads and actually attempting to respond to customers very valid questions with your same comment again, is flagged within our media suite as spam.
After my team raised what you were doing, I located an email from you sent only an hour before, took screen shots of the comments ( the same one, posted multiple times) and gave authorisation for your accounts to be blocked.
A. All comments are welcome, Spam is not
B. We had received your email in the hours before and so a line of communication was open.
Our V3 has just been released and we are in the process of migrating our users in large chunks at a time to their new vanspace dashboard, this is a slow migration so that we ease the traffic to not only the new dashboard and download area, but our Support Team too.
To migrate all at once, would be many thousands of people trying to access at one time.
As much as we want this to be the smoothest process possible, there will be a few hiccups along the way. Even FACEBOOK has them as we have all seen recently.
As I have been overseeing the migration myself over the past few weeks and the coming few days until completed, I have tested all sites, links and downloads multiple times each hour.
Our login page is working correctly although we have guided many to reset the password as we have moved to One Pass login.
The email that we have received from you originally was aggressive and our team have responded wonderfully. Offering as much help and guidance as possible and using a tone in such circumstances that they should be very proud of.
I can see that a further response has been received from you which indeed does show that you have logged into your new dashboard successfully however, have received an error when in the home and downloads screens.
We had one similar report two days ago with the exact same error but on the bonus screen, we resolved this within hours for that user.
We are looking into this and will come back to you as soon as we have the answer. To find the answer we attempt to replicate on the same type of system and with the other user I mention, it was due to their pop up blocker.
Our V3 is fantastic, certainly not from the 90's and it is of no benefit to us to provide you with a software that you can not access. We are working hard to make sure that you can and will be back with you in email as soon as possible.

This software is a scam!
If you think you'd be able to use this software - you'd be mistaken. Number 1 - the functionality is extremely limited. #2 - the 'items' used to model the space are limited....and linked to amazon for affiliate sales. (Ugh)
They know this software is not worth it.
I asked for a refund and they replied with a long email about good faith, etc. But what about good faith for the consumer. The advertised usage and what you actually get are in no way the same.
Save you money and draw out your layout on paper....or learn CAD.

When viewing these, you will notice many more appear on the right-hand side, all created with the very same software that we provide you with.
In the same place, you will also view many created by our customers, some just normal people wanting to create their own van, some professional van builders.
We do provide our software in good faith, exactly as requested during purchase.
Due to the name that you have used within your review I am not able to locate any correspondence with you however if you have requested a refund, we will have responded by asking for further information. Of course, this would happen.
It seems that rather than provide this, you have chosen to create a review which does seem to be a common theme in the very small amount of reviews that we have had in the last 18 months since conception.
This equates to 3 reviews a week leaving thousands of happy customers.
You may think it acceptable to use the name and title that have, we do not however Trust Pilot seems to think that these terms can be used unfounded.
It is a shame as I can assure you that had you simply allowed the procedure to run its course, there would have been a favourable outcome.
Addressing the points that you have raised
1. functionality is extremely limited.
You can create anything in our software, sometimes it's the knowledge of the software that is limited, hence our amazing Support team to help you.
2. More than 200 new objects are being added in our next update however, you still will need to use the 3D shapes provided if you want something very specific, just like we use in all of the layouts that we create.

I can see where you are going with this but...
I can see where you are going with this, but it is still very much Beta software (as admitted by the executable filename - VanSpace3DBETA.exe) and shouldn't be charged for at this stage.
Here are some examples of problems I found:
'Remember Me' doesn't work - asks for password every time the app starts
Auto save sometimes asks for a name, and if I choose the original name, it wants to overwrite it.
If I don't choose a name, it asks me to overwrite a backup. No explanation as to why.
Vertical panels, if too tall, stick out the side of the van at the top. Vertices are not editable.
'Quad' shapes - 2D flat panels are invisible and un-selectable when viewed edge on.
Wheel arches at back of Renault Master L3H2 (and perhaps other vehicles) are really odd, split into two parts with a large gap between them and their relative shapes change depending on the view (L, R, Rear)
The controls to resize and rotate are quite unintuitive. Objects are 3D but the circular control widgets are only 2D and it's not obvious which 2 axis they are controlling, or which direction they are moving.
The choice of objects to add to the camper van is quite limited - it's a specialist campervan app - so there should be a LOT more builtin objects.
I guess you could try drawing them but with only 3 or 4 generic shapes and no ability to edit the corners, custom shapes are gonna be a LOT of hard work.
I could go on, but you get the idea.
The upsold book - 61 tips - is another disappointment.
There is some useful info in there - but I doubt there are 61 ideas.
It is also clearly mis-sold. When advertised, it is sold as an Ebook.
But, it is actually a severely restricted HTML page, that can't be downloaded, printed or copied from. You have to come back to the webpage each time to view (can't be viewed offline). It really is quite difficult to use - not worth $8 in its current form.

I am just going to provide some information to explain why some things work the way you have mentioned.
1. The file name is an oversight by our Development Team during the last updates; our V2 is no longer a Beta and has not been for some time.
2. AutoSave will overwrite the original file each time as this is the primary data created originally. As you progress with your layout, AutoSave will update the file so no loss of work will occur.
You do not have to use AutoSave if you do not wish to; the manual save feature is also available.
3. The Quad does load in the way that you describe, and although it is clickable, we agree with you that it should be easier and will change this. Thank you for this suggestion.
4. The wheel arches can appear 'split' as we offer moveable wheel axles; however, these do not hinder your layout.
5. We are introducing a brand new Gizmo function in V3, which will be released shortly.
6. There are 100+ pre-made objects in our V2, with another 200+ being added in V3 however we are never going to be able to provide the multiple variations of each item of furniture that would be needed to suit the shape of every single van.
It is also doubtful that you will use standard shaped furniture in a van conversion.

It works for me
It works for me. I downloaded the correct version and it runs on my laptop. This is a very inexpensive program and I was hesitant because of it but with farther reading I found out that they had a recommendations page where any suggestions, bugs or issues could be emailed. I would considered it like this... We are paying for a Beta and we are also helping to design the future of this program and for that only it has my attention. This program is great for the community for DIY, Costumers and builders. Is it perfect? No. But I got what I payed for. I was able to build my concept in 3D... I have some ideas that I have not seen yet in other vans so attempting to fully visualize them or explain them was a bit complicated but Vanlife3D has helped doing so and I'm happy with that. If there where no more updated my review would probably sound a bit different but I'm optimistic. And I made my protect 3 for less then $30 dollars if I had payed for it it would have been more for sure and probably not what I completely was looking for. On regard to customer service I have not asked for any money back since I think it's a nice deal and I got my money's worth but I have reached out several times with ideas and concepts and they have answered politely and constructively. I'm very happy with what they are doing for the community and I'm happy I can help.

I thought I'd be okay, this will at least be a good start to my van design. I was wrong.
The software download and install is painful. Reminds me of Windows 3.1
The navigation tool and logic applied is backward.
The furniture and cabinet options are woeful.
The autosave constantly nags. The file naming convention is 1980's. The export feature for gif doesn't work.
Reloading the van I found the mirror feature had stuffed up, some items had moved, and cannot see windows on the van when the sides are enabled.
All up. Save your money. Find an old etcha-sketch and thank yourself for having the wisdom others (including myself) have not.

I have been able to locate an account in the name of Stephen Watt however, unfortunately, I have not been able to locate any correspondence with our Support Team at all.
That really is a shame as there are a few things that we could have helped with.
Downloading should take minutes only, It is a straightforward download and unzip. Any issues that you may have had, we can help.
I am not sure what you may mean regarding the navigation tool, and as someone who uses it daily, I have not experienced this at all and would like to know exactly what is happening there for you.
We have over 100 pre-made objects that you can use in your layout (with another 200+ being added in V3) however, we will never be able to provide variations of all to suit everyone, that is why we supply 3D shapes so that you can create your own (or adapt existing ones)

AutoSave is only to be used as a safety net, the user selects the time interval that this flashes up. Personally, I set it as every 30 mins and save it manually after placing a new object.
The files are vandata files. Specific to vanspace and stored locally on your device.
Finally, yes, there is a recognised bug in the mirror feature, the update is imminent however, we also have a fix that you can use. Bugs are normal in all software and we jump on them quickly.

this software is genuinely painful to use, it doesn't feel like its finished and really should not be sold to the public. the process of getting refunded is ongoing and has been almost as bad as the program itself.

I am a little confused by this review as I have been speaking with you myself.
You had contacted us requesting a refund however, you stated that you had been charged twice.
We had to respond to ask for the correct email address of your account as the wrong one had been provided, once received we were unable to locate any double charges.
We then responded asking you to provide some further information to help us locate this, to which this morning we have received a response stating that the fault lay with your banking app and that you had not been double charged.
I had already responded prior to reading this review with a satisfactory resolution for you.
I think a 1-star review for dealing with your query exactly how you wanted us to is very unfounded.
With regard to your comments on our software, we are always improving with every single update and appreciate all of the feedback that we receive, however, we must be doing something right for our customers to be able to create layouts such as these

Avoid awful
Awful, what the advertise vs what you get leaves a lot to be desired, I couldn’t get it to install at first then when I eventually did it was so in user friendly and looked nothing like the advert and when I tried to get a refund I was denied it because I had downloaded the software! Luckily paid through PayPal so eventually got a refund through them.. honestly buy some graph paper a pencil, rubber and ruler and save your money!

Get the free version of Sketchup, go to YouTube and you'll find loads of vids on how to use it, it took me a day of learning and now I recommend Sketchup over VanSpace3D every time.

Warning! I strongly recommend do NOT bother buying Vanspace 3d. Useless software and you will never get a refund. Their customer service is atrocious and even after answering their forced extensive surveys they will not grant it, instead they'd rather argue with 10 paragraphs an email.
This company is nothing but a money grab with a very low quality product. Don't waste your money.
Edit: In reply to your comment. Trust you to respond with that. Fact is, your customer service and ethics are atrocious, you are in no position to act like you are on any high horse whatsoever. There shouldn't have even been a discussion and it is the biggest crap I've heard that you love all your customers because the your communication says otherwise. You love the money they give you which is why you are so ridiculously stubborn about holding on to a mere $19 despite a plethora of legitimate issues raised and a customer that had your software for an hour before raising issues and asking for a refund.
I haven't dealt with such poor service in a long time. The extent of your emails trying desperately to justify your money grab, the fact that you have to mention my consumer rights and know laws so in depth is a key sign you deal with angry customers regularly. My review stays here. As a warning. I said in my very first email that I was happy to take a refund and leave it at that despite my concern with the quality of your product. I'm glad you've seen Trust Pilot and the shear amount of dislike you get here. I think a 2.1 rating is generous. Learn good service and basic decency first.

- Nice selection of vans to choose from
CONS
- Limited number of items
- NO Snap to wall features
- NO section Views
- NO way to export your ideas to drawings with dimensions
- NO refund if you are not happy with what you paid for.
If you are on the fence or possibly looking for something with dimensions (like I am) to aid you in the van build process. This product is NOT for you!
This is merely a visualization tool and should be advertised as such. This is NOT a Design tool!
You would not use this to build anything. Might as well get out some graph paper and draw out what you want.

It is really good that you feel our software is easy to use, and that you also appreciate the selection of templates that we offer.
We do value all feedback and so I can confirm that the following features are being added in our next update very shortly.
200+ new pre-made objects - all suggested by our users
Layering so that grouped objects can be hidden to allow for section viewing
Snap to wall is not possible with a van shaped template. The outside area of the template must remain interactive so that objects such as vents are visible both externally and internally.
Snapping to wall would mean that this would not be possible. It would also cause objects to slant to the shape of the van template which, when for example you are placing wall cabinets, would not be helpful to your layout.
By exporting to drawings, you mean blueprints, which will be found in software that cost hundreds/thousands. We offer dedicated software for van converters for $19 per year.
Finally, our refund policy is very clear and transparent and displayed prior to and during the purchase process. This really should be read in full.
We always refund in full if there is a technical issue with our software that we can not resolve.
I am sorry that you feel that this would not be helpful when creating your layout however due to the vast amount of users that feel differently, we know we are doing something right.

Its cheap so i guess you get what you pay for.
Good things is the library of vans.
Bad thing is there is very limited content to fill your van with. You cant produce drawing with it.
So i guess if you just wanted to play around with very basic van designs or already had a design and just want to see it in 3d then this might be for you.
Its $19 so that is why its 2 star, if i paid more for this it would of been 1 star.

You are quite right as $19 for one years access for the only software dedicated to van conversion, it is incredible.
We do have a great library of vans and with the new features coming in V3, it will be pretty much unlimited.
The reason for this is that every single pre-made van template will be totally adjustable so if we don't have your correct year, it will not matter.
The new custom template generator means that you will be able to create just about every kind of template, OK you are not going to be able to create boats and helicopters but then we would not be called vanspace.
We are adding 200+ more pre made objects in V3, all requested by our users however, the 3D shapes that we also offer are invaluable for creating your own.

They advertise no design experience required, unless you are an expect CAD designer this is not the software for you.
Incredibly clunky and non user friendly.
Their customer service is an absolute joke. There's a reason they don't offer a trial version, no one would actually convert.

I am really sorry to hear that you feel this way.
If you want to check out our Instagram, you can actually see some great layouts shared with us by our users.
We are not a CAD software, and so you really do not need any experience at all.
Even if you have no experience with living design software, we have walkthroughs, tutorials and guides that cover everything.
It does matter to us that you think our software is not user friendly; however, it is essential also to understand that you are not dealing with square shapes rooms and straight walls, but sloped and curved shapes of very different sizes.
I have reviewed your communication with our Teams and put the swearing to one side they have received; they really have tried to help you.
You have mentioned that you are finding the software slow on your system, which we can help with very easily once we have received some information about your system.
I can see that we responded within 24 hours to your original email; however, you mentioned that you had deleted and not read it. Once you informed us of this, we resent it.
All we need now is to get this information to advise if we can resolve it.

I am not sure if you have realised that we are in the CET time zone?
I have this morning responded to a Facebook Messenger from someone called Danielle. It was received at 20-18 in the evening and was picked up at the beginning of the day today.
We are just waiting for a response so that we can locate your account and any previous communications.

Here is my honest experience as an experienced van converter, overlander and designer.
I found the advertised claims to be very appealing. In particular, I found the claim that they featured dozens of different standard components that you could place in your van layout - in 3D no less - as well as the promise of detailed plans you can actually build from. Important this - they say you can build from these plans. That is not the case.
The product is a brutal kludge. It is something you would typically see on Steam as a sort of indy attempt at a sim or game built on unity by a small team and priced at under $3. In no way do they approach value for the money.
Now that I have exchanged about a dozen emails with vanspace trying to get a refund which I applied for on the same day I purchased the app, I can tell you what I've learned.
In actuality what this company is doing is 90% marketing and 5% product and 5% astroturfing/customer service/social media management. They will say VOLUMES about their product and overwhelm you with long-winded emails explaining how they provide value. These emails are just using canned responses. Their refund policy is to make you answer a list of questions to rationalize why you just don't want their software on day one. You can tell that a LOT of people want a refund after seeing the app in person. There is a reason they don't offer a trial.
Regarding the promises for V3 - I did not buy V3. I'm reviewing the product I bought.
Regarding the claim of "good faith", well its clear they have no good faith by not considering a refund within 24hrs. That's not good faith at all. They are trying to get around honoring the consumer protection guidelines.
The sad thing is that they make promises that mean they understand the market, but they do not deliver on any of them. But the reason why I warn you away is that they do not honor the transaction and will take your money and run. DO NOT BUY this and expect an easy refund if it doesn't suit your needs. It's a trap.

We absolutely provide a valuable 'real tool' to create a 3D layout of your van conversion.
If we did not, our users would not share their layouts with us, created within our software. Must be doing something right!

I have been communicating with you. It seems that you are unhappy with using 3D shapes occasionally to create your preferred particular objects, to fit in your specific van template.
Whilst we provide you with many pre-made objects ( and another 200+ being added in V3), these shapes will be needed as we can not possibly provide you with every single variation of every single object.
This is not a software limitation; it really is a personal preference with these shapes expected to be used in 3D design software.
You are quite right that we do not refund if we have provided our software in good faith, exactly as described and shown, it has been used and no technical issues are experienced.
That is pretty standard with software.

Awful software
Software is horrible and nor user friendly. Customer service team is non existent and will refuse any refund as soon as you log into your account. I was used the software for a few minutes and they still won't refund my transaction. Pretty much a fraudulent company. Don not belive the ads or customer reviews on their website.

The worst design software I ever bought. Really complicated to do anything and just cheaply made. 100% I wouldn't recommend to buy!

Considering the thousands of users that we have, we do not have that many reviews; however, you will notice some below that state that our software is too basic.
When we receive such varying reviews, we then understand that we have to accommodate all users skill sets and ensure that we add the more complicated features for those who want more and provide more basic for others.
So we are making sure all are covered in our new V3 .
We aren't like any other software that you will have used previously, as these probably would have been limited to easy square/rectangular spaces and straight walls. vanspace3D is dedicated to van conversion, and so we need to accommodate all of the slopes and unusual shapes that every van or bus contains.
We also need to consider that in van conversion, it is not very likely that you will use standard-sized furniture. It would be a little bit like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole, and because of this, we make sure that we provide the features that will allow you to adjust everything manually.
I can see that our Support Team are in direct communication with you and have been providing a lot of support to get you up and running.
Regarding being cheaply made, this is not possible, not with a full Development Team working around the clock.
I personally recommend practising with the pre-made layouts in the Get Inspired section of your online account. These are great to download and play around with to get used to the features.
