Russell & Chris made the whole…
Russell & Chris made the whole experience fun & informative. Was totally worth waiting for after 20+ cancellations. Enjoyed helping out. Great to be able to buy merchandise and the photo shoot/videos on the day. Great to have a celebration drink with fl8ght certificate at the end too. Got Great pictures. Hubby enjoyed his Wedding Anniversary present & my flight for my 50th 🥰

Hard work but enjoyable!
Firstly, once we made it on to a flight it was an absolutely amazing experience! The pilot Tom was knowledgeable and friendly. As were the other two people helping. We had booked to launch from Bakewell but this got moved to Buxton, which was further for us to go but all do-able. I understand some people didn’t like the setting up and putting away part of the experience and when you book this the write up does say that is optional - but basically it wasn’t. You were compelled to help. So don’t book this if you don’t want to get stuck in and help! We enjoyed it and it was part of the fun! Be warned that it isn’t easy getting in and out of the basket. I have a bad knee and getting out was difficult and other than the foot holes in the side of the basket there is no step to assist. I have deducted a star for the simple fact that it is difficult to actually get on the flight due to the number of cancellations. I got the voucher for my birthday in 2022 and had 8 cancellations in 4.5 years. I never realised it would be so difficult to actually enjoy the experience! We nearly gave up after cancellation number 8 but wouldn’t get a refund so persevered, but I have to say it is worth it! Flight was supposed to be an hour. We only got just under 55 minutes.

We’re glad to read that your flight with Tom and the crew was worth the wait and that you enjoyed getting stuck in.
We’re so sorry it took so many attempts to get you airborne. Eight cancellations is understandably frustrating, and we really appreciate your perseverance and for sticking with us.
We advertise the flight as approximately one hour, so the exact time in the air can vary depending on flying conditions and finding a suitable, safe landing spot but we apologise if you were left feeling a little disappointed with the duration.
Helping with the balloon is indeed optional but we’re sorry you felt compelled to take part. We appreciate that this part of the experience isn't for everyone.
We also appreciate your feedback about getting out of the basket with your knee. If anyone has a physical injury or medical condition, we always recommend discussing this with us before booking. We can explain what the experience involves, including getting in and out of the basket, so they can make an informed decision about whether it’s suitable for them or not.

After 2 and half years....
After 2 and half years of cancellations, finally on a beautiful autumn day we did it! To be honest i was petrified! No need to have been! It was absolutely incredible! We was lucky that they also had a spare place so my son joined us. It was so peaceful calm and beautiful. My son saw us from the ground near his house as well! Flew over the ise lodge in kettering where me and my hubby grew up! This is up at the top of my life experiences, would totally recommend it to anyone,don't be scared, just do it! Crew were all lovely and had amazing take off and landing. It was so much fun seeing so many people on the ground waving and hearing car horns beeping as we flew over! Loved every minute of it and was so worth the long wait!

Getting hands on in helping a Great Crew
Getting hands on in helping a Great Crew prepare the balloon who explained everything on how it would work. The view of the Kent countryside from 3000ft was spectacular and the pilot Damon helped by pointing out different points of interest. Landing was very interesting and then deflating the balloon ready for packing away completed a brilliant experience.

Beautiful way to spend a Sunday evening
The crew and the pilot, Mike, were great. Really knowledgeable and helpful. Ashton Court is a great location to take off from. The flight was amazingly beautiful and Mike gave useful information and pointed out landmarks as we went. Landing was great too. Loved helping with putting away the balloon. A brilliant way to spend a Sunday evening! Thanks to Caroline, who really put a shift in too!

Russell the flight attendant was…
Russell the flight attendant was absolutely fabulous. He was friendly and talked us through the take off and landing procedure.
It was great be able to get involved, whilst the balloon was being inflated.
There were toilets near the location and it was easy to find.
He explained all the heights, speed we were travelling, and answered any questions anyone threw at him.
His ground crew man Clive I believe, was also amazing. Tracking out our flight from the ground and being able to find us, within minutes of our landing. He was a huge asset to the team.
Plus, he handed out the cheeky Prosecco's.
We all pitched in to help get everything put away swiftly.
