Clearly their housing allocation policy should state that certain people are victimised or discriminated as this is exactly what they do and the attitude of the staff is disgusting IT ALSO STATES THAT IF YOUR ELIGIBLE FOR WDH HOUSING YOU WILL BE GIVEN A MEMBERSHIP NUMBER TO BID (but despite bidding and been on it fifteen years and already done a home assessment you never get any offers of your choice of property at all ) TO WDHOMESEARCH ITS A GAME !!!

They clearly find that speaking over you so you can’t get a word in edge ways acceptable and shows respect ! They clearly don’t like been told the truth either as it seems your discriminated or victimised if you tell them some own truths !!!

I think wdh are great I live in sheltered housing they have a lot to contend with with people like me with severe mental health issues I can be very impulsive when I speak like today to one call and don't always ha dle things est way or say best things and regret it afterwards that's the worst part of my bpd that I've to get on top of but I think there greatasare e eryone who works for wdh and independent livi g team I don't always appreciate people as I should but ido deep down honestly⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

As somebody who has found their-selves in a difficult circumstance, we made the choice to have a look at WDH, where the housing is much more affordable than private renting. After reading the reviews I felt sick. How can people who have brand new houses, financial support and places to live actually have the cheek to review so negatively about a charitable company that is trying to rehome thousands of people?
If this was any other country you would literally be on the street, in a mud hut or literally in the sewers to keep warm! The problem with a lot of people is that because us as English are entitled to these certain benefits, people feel entitled to be absolute ..... about it.
It doesn't surprise me that some people who have written reviews on here haven't been placed in housing yet, as if I am totally honest, if you have got a bed at your mums, then you're not homeless, you are not desperate and you are not a priority. If you are in a house that needs the heating sorting out, yet you're on WDH's back instead of just getting it sorted yourself, then again, you need to seriously consider the position you are in.

After the rant, I must say, the online website has been down for a few days now so i contacted WDH by phone to see how else I could apply, and within 5 minutes I'd had my call answered and a lovely man give me clear directions into printing off a form and sending it via post. As a person who doesn't have a printer, it's a faff to get it sorted, but why should I complain when I could potentially receive a home for my family.
I've had a brilliant experience so far, and I can't understand why some people have the cheek to complain about a service that is totally free.

Definitely try find a different letting service to get your homes through. Because you will never ever ever be offered anything on WDH lists. 4 years and 6 months I've been waiting, bidding, promised. For years I have been going without meals, because the current place I live in, is unbelievably high priced, and falling to bits, to the point I am unable to live substantially. All my money goes on repairs every month. It is completely uninhabitable. Not only do they lie, they also black mail. I had a phone call about 6 month ago saying if I paid debt off to themselves (who by the way was owed from my ex partner, not me. I was 17, a new mum and living with my partner where he stole the rent and buggerd off to buy drugs, never saw him again) they would house me in an accomadation suitable for me and my 2 children. I paid over £200 at once, to be told "sorry thats not the way we work" and the phone down on me. Complete blackmail!!!!
Unfortunately wdh do NOT care about this or your living situations. Of course they don't, they leave their own tenants living in squalor. They leave their own veterans that fought for us, to live on the streets in freezing cold weather. Appalling service from WDH, would not recommend to anyone unfortunately.

Moved into a new build when I was on dialysis so I could have more room and privacy. At the beginning we had massive problems with dealing with the house such as universal credit to get rent which they provided incorrect information and took forever for them to get back to us. After a few months of staying in the property and paying our bills on time each month. I then had a kidney transplant and after a few months of recovery I went back to work, we were a lot better off so we decided to find a private rent property which was big as we wanted a second child after saving money to get a deposit and first months rent upfront we found the ideal house to cut this short we paid everything then went through references to be told we didn’t pass the checks. Later that day the land lord called me to make me aware that the reason we failed was because the current landlord ( WDH) said that we hadn’t paid our rent since we had moved into the property. Luckily enough we had evidence of payment being made to wdh every month. Still to this day after making a official complaint and going through there forms and sending them off I have not heard a single thing off them.

If there was zero stars I’d probably do that. Considering this is a council to help people re house , or help people who become in situations where ya need re housing
This place is a complete and utter waste of time !
You can never get hold of anyone , you get fobbed off in every direction. The communication skills are terrible . Nobody knows what the other person is doing
7 weeks from baby being born if not before , house sold due to partner having it with his ex .
Already have two young children and partner is disabled but yet where in band D and when we bid for a house where coming in the 300s . You ring the homeless place and there absolutely zero help !
How can they expect anyone to privately rent at the crazy prices they are put up knowing ya will be entering maternity leave wages at some point .
I’m sure they just want to see more people on the street daily . They couldn’t care less about anyone situations and think it needs looking at in a much better way .

Where should I start ??

Being in Band A would seem like I’m in need of a house. We have been served with a notice from our previous house due to it being sold... we have then been awarded band A in WDH. Being 8 months pregnant I had to move back to my parents as WDH seams not to be bother about me loosing home...

After few months of weekly bidding as band A I am now being told I won’t get a house as I am earning too much and I can afford to private rent... despite the fact I am just about to jump onto saturator maternity pay which with current rent prices won’t even cover private rent costs !!!
I am Starting to feel like I am being pushed to private rent which will lead the urge of benefits !!!!

Been on the CHOICE BASED LETTINGS since 2006 and given evidence of my circumstances yet they’ve never been acknowledged, in 2017 I had an home visit by a wdhomesearch officer who checked all my details and stated that I wouldn’t be waiting any longer before I was offered somewhere but then the victimising behaviour started from them where they laughed at me down the phone they’ve said things and done the complete opposite , they’ve made false allegations against me , they’ve ignored letters I’ve wrote them but they send letters that are intimidating or making allegations of something I’ve not even done , they’ve told blatant lies to professionals when I’ve had them involved , they’ve even tried saying that they’ve told me why I’ve not been rehoused wen in actual fact they’ve never told me anything about why I’ve not been rehoused all they’ve ever done is speak down at me in the attitude my own parents have never used and they expect me to tolerate this , all wdh do is victimise certain people and think they can get away with this behaviour and they’ll never get caught out when in reality there’s enough evidence on this housing association to actually sue them . Customer relations seem to think they can be personal towards you and refuse to give answers when you ask for these all their good for is being keyboard warriors they only choose to help the people that are well in with them the rest of us are just left bidding for basically nothing because they rather discriminate against you or victimise you and worsen your current position that your actually in when you inform them of your circumstances they never acknowledge these instead they just chuck them to one side and Carry on housing people who only wait a month and move from house to house like there’s no tomorrow , I don’t know why they even call this a CHOICE BASED LETTINGS because when you look they have preference to every property they advertise so clearly their discriminating against people and they say their out to improve people’s lives , all they do is ruin people’s lives because this is the sort of attitude they have when it comes to housing and people that need it , but as a lot of people have said it’s not them that have to live in properties like we are made to so why should they be bothered when their families can get housed in no time at all this housing association are clearly discriminate their victimising and intimidating people that seem to find their behaviour towards people is acceptable when clearly it isn’t and one day they will find out this , because they won’t get away with what they do forever or how they treat people !! They are a complete joke !

Been on a waiting list for over 2 years!
I have been in band B for the last year and a bit! My son is 10 month old this month and still I am living in a cramped environment with little to no space!
I have called them and emailed them more times then I can even remember for the last year and sometimes I get ignored and the rest I get told to keep bidding and they can’t do anything about it! Yet people I know have been on this with better environments and situations then me and got a house within the space of a couple of months so yet why am I still waiting for a house!
Does everybody have to be on full benefits to be able to get a decent house straight away! My partner works full time and I’ll be going back to work once my son is old enough!
Saving up and Buying a house is less stressful and more quicker then it is to get a house with wdh!

Absolutely appalling company and service.
My daughter is supposed to be moving into a home with her mum and now cannot start school this week and will miss the first week back due to the house not been handed over even after being told any day now since the end of July. Appalling customer service.

I've lived in my wdh house for 10 years. It's a pre fab falling to bits. They are never interested in repairing their properties I just get fobbed off all the time. I've got mould and damp throughout the house.its made my asthma worse, Slugs come into my kitchen through a big hole in the floor. There's no cavity wall insulation it costs a fortune to heat the place in winter. Kitchen is falling to bits. It's a mess! There needs to be some law in place to make this cowboy housing provider provide the services they are suppose to.

These flats are disgusting, all the cleaners do is sit in there vans all day and come out at the last minute to do a job that I don’t see the point in them doing, please sort this as the smell from the stairs and landing is making my flat stink not happy!

Generally good, excellent caretaker and highrise public areas clean, however they are very clinical looking and need some colour or nice wall art adding to brighten it up

This housing association is an absolute joke and staff seem to think that they can have an attitude and look down at people. They are meant to be a choice based lettings yet their clearly discriminant when it comes to housing choice and certain individuals they ignore any proof of your circumstances or your disabilities that you suffer with and they also play mind games with certain applicants . They have no remorse at all for how they treat people on the waiting list for choice based lettings which is like dirt . Staff seem to find it acceptable to threaten people and victimise them they are known to tell lies and they also seem to think they can breach people protected rights and also breach peoples privacy rights aswell they actually think they can break the law and get away with it and as for customer relations they are discriminant altogether and Anne from this department needs more training on customer service and how to speak to people with respect and also how to treat people in a proper manner because eher attitude is downright disgusting! When you make a complaint of any sort they don’t do anything about it whatsoever and clearly choose to victimise you in anyway they can because this is the sort of disgusting behaviour they have when it comes to people that aren’t their family members or close friends they find it acceptable to threaten people and make false allegations against them they don’t help anybody at all and instead they make matters worse for it because they like to see people suffering and it’s even worse if you suffer with mental health disabilities as they play on this and find it a good thing to do and what they don’t realise is that one day their going to be in a position where they need help or support and when their treated in the disgusting way they treat people currently they’ll then know what it’s like to be treated like it ! IF YOU WANT REHOUSING THEN I WOULDNT BOTHER WITH THESE BECAUSE YOUR NEVER ACKNOWLEDGED AND NEITHER ARE YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES YOUR JUST PUT ON A LIST AND BIDDING ON PROPERTIES JUST FOR OTHER PEOPLE TO GET GIVEN THEM ITS IF YOUR FACE FITS WITH THIS HOUSING ASSOCIATION ! IF THEY ACTUALLY LOOKED AT PEOPLES CIRCUMSTANCES THEN WHY ARE PEOPLE IN BAND C & D APPLYING FOR HOUSING AND GIVEN IT WITHIN A MONTH OF GOING ON THE SO CALLED WAITING LIST ? (THEY ARE AN ABSOLUTE JOKE )

Ok so over the last couple of weeks I have had issues with my heaters. I rang and reported it on the one call number. I've had to call a couple of times as they keep breaking. I've spoken to three different people who have all been so understanding and helpful. They weren't miserable infact were so polite and happy to help they were a joy to speak to. The Electrician that came out 3 times has been amazing. So a massive thank you to you all.

Total garbage have been bidding for a house for over 8 months only recently found out we cant have one as both me and the wife work. Yes wdh minimum wage gives you loads of spare cash

Got given a home in Ponty in 2002 and that was with Wakefield district council , it was dog rough, it made me severely depressed, and I wanted a home in Ackworth where I am from and where all my family live, and we filled a form in and was put on a list and was Told the list for Ackworth is quite long and we could be waiting upto 10 years, so we stayed where we was till house came up, then it changed to WDH and became a bidding came. Think it’s like lottery they just randomly pick 1 out of 50 for example and then that 1 gets the home. Long story short 17 years later I am still in the same house waiting to be moved back to Ackworth. I’ve written complaints after complaints and it’s like someone else said on here you just get stupid dumb reply or worse no reply at all. Ackworth nice but as family have said since bidding as been going on they have had people from all over move in and ruining the place, like chavs . Should have stayed as council they was better and also WDH improvements are bodged jobs . Bring back old system . Where when your next on list to move you move not this random picking system they have. Pulling a name out of a hat

I registered with Homesearch 10 years ago and I feel that there is zero hope of me finding a suitable property. I’m 60 yrs old with mental health issues and I have a support worker who is helping me with my housing needs. I’m in Band D and classed as non priority.

We have receive house in 2017 , after moving out in 2019 they charge us 400 pounds for replacing 7 light , where when we moved out i was sure i have left them working , so why they charge us ?
