Wayne arrived 30 minutes early, not normally a problem but I was having my lunch. I expected an hour long consultation. There was no consultation in fact he did not ask any questions just measured my kitchen and left promising to e mail me ideas and design. He was with me for exactly 20 minutes. There has been no e mail, in fact no contact at all. I have now chosen a different company.

I recently had a completely unacceptable experience in the Bognor Regis store of Wickes, centred on a member of staff demanding that I say “thank you”, despite there being no obstruction or issue at all.
While walking down an aisle with a trolley, there was plenty of room for two people to pass. No assistance was given, no inconvenience caused, and no interaction initiated by me. Despite this, a member of staff confronted me and accused me of having “no manners” solely because I did not say thank you.
This was not said politely. It was confrontational and immediately escalated into visible anger, being told to “shop elsewhere”, and behaviour that was entirely inappropriate in a customer-facing role.
I go into Wickes to purchase materials, not to be lectured, judged, or challenged because an employee feels entitled to a verbal courtesy that simply wasn’t required. Manners should never be demanded or enforced by staff.
The situation was then poorly handled by management, with no meaningful attempt to de-escalate or acknowledge that this behaviour was unacceptable.
This experience raises serious concerns about staff professionalism and management standards at the Bognor Regis store. Courtesy goes both ways — it should never be demanded.

I would highly recommend Wicks in Bognor the staff are always friendly and helpful, especially the kitchen team. From the moment we met Pierre in the kitchen and design department he made our whole experience of buying a kitchen super super easy, from the home visit to the wonderful design he planned, nothing was too much trouble for him he was always willing to sit with us and tweek things until we were completely happy with everything, his attention to detail is second to none. He is a very very patient man always with a smile. We went into Wicks looking for a kitchen and felt we came out with not only a fabulous new kitchen but also a new friend

I often shop at wikes. But today have been very disappointed and upset by the new fork lift operator and team member.
I was unaware the yellow barrier was to stop customers due to forklift operation. I crossed this barrier to quickly grab something. Only to be aggressively and very rudely confronted by the forklift operator.
There was no politeness towards the matter just pure aggression. followed and backed up by colougue Laurie.
In my opinion bully's!
I will be shopping here again but I'd hope this behaviour to be addressed on behalf of the general public.

I only hope this rating will improve but it’s proved impossible to speak to the store manager OR customer services..one call with no answer of 27 minutes and the next for 18 minutes and was cut from their end. The store manager, via another colleague , told me there was nothing they could do to help and that I had to speak to customer services. Which is next to impossible as they aren’t answering. So disappointing all round as we are now left with a damaged fridge freezer. The store simply don’t seem to want to help us.

Ordered blocks online with wickes only for money to be refunded . Then went to the store to purchase . They was in stock..think they didn't want to load trolley ready for collection..went to till . At least 12 couples in line for 1 till . Ridiculous. Staff in aisles not doing much .
Bit annoying and hope a store for opens up closer to me as really dont want to use this bognor store anymore ..

Wayne at Bognor was outstanding. We had almost bought a kitchen for our renovation project from B&Q but they made a complete mess of the order process. Er hadn't considered Wickes for some reason but next time we need anything, Wayne will be out first choice. The design took less than an hour, we were shown lots of options and he delivered a service of which our other supplier had provided completely incapable. He was professional, personable and attentive to our specific needs.
First rate service and highly recommended

Every store member we spoke to in this store was exemptionally helpful and friendly. In particular Gail (in Kitchens) and Lucas & Davey on the shop floor. All three are a real credit to Wickes. Thank you

I would have left ZERO stars, but that’s not possible!
I feel so sad that I am having to write a complaint about a member of staff at Bognor Regis because we’ve used this store for over 9 years and most of the staff know us, including the lady in question that served us today. We have spent thousands of pounds with Wickes over the years, even before moving away from London to the south coast in 2016 and Bognor Regis became our ‘local’ Wickes.
We went in today, only for some sand, and were met at the till by Gaby. I presented my Wickes Trade Pro app, as I always do, but Gaby decided to make us feel embarrassed, in front of other customers, and wanted me to ‘prove’ that this was indeed the app! I showed her that this was in fact the app, but she continued to interrogate me on whether I was lying by asking me to navigate to different sections of the app!!
I can honestly say that I wanted the ground to open up and swallow me because I was so embarrassed! It is NOT a nice feeling to be accused of being a liar, especially in front of people I don’t know. She has also done this to my partner, just a couple of weeks ago, which at the time I let go, but this is now clearly an issue if she’s treating your valued customers as liars! Maybe she needs some retraining, or at the least, some training in how good customer service looks! My partner works in retail and this is NOT good customer service!
As I’ve said, we have spent thousands of pounds with Wickes and I would like to continue using this shop as it has such a great variety of products for builders, but if I am to be treated like a criminal when I go there, I will be forced to take my trade elsewhere. I have left a review on Trustpilot today too, and at the moment, I would not recommend using Wickes to any other traders if this is how we are treated!
I will also be making a phone call to the store today to log my concerns about Gaby because she is not presenting a good look for your company!
*UPDATE*
I had a call from the store manager, Toby, to say that Gaby made up a ‘story’ to say she thought I had unused ‘rewards’ in the app lol 😂 okay 👌 I call 🐂 💩 on this! She was just rude, condescending and needs some serious retraining on how to treat customers.
For any traders out there, look at Gardner & Scardifield if you have a local one because they are fantastic 👍

faulty products, have to go to citizen bureau as they won’t provide a refund after selling me faulty products TWICE. all staff need training. giving wrong details and an electrician to fix the faulty hob. ridiculous.

Avoid Bognor Regis wickes, staff is incompetent, selling faulty goods (2x hoover exploding hobs) and avoiding giving back refund. I need to sort out my problems with citizen advice bureau.

Wayne , our designer, turned up promptly for our home measure. He came up with a good design. The price was very competitive and we were offered all discounts.
The fitter , Neil, also turned up promptly to do his survey. We added on a couple of items for him to fit and again the price was great.
Looking forward to it being fitted.

Pierre was pleasant and very helpful. He was efficient and precise and explained the whole planning and ordering process.
We would like also to praise the whole team at Wickes Bognor we are currently renovating our bungalow. we been visiting the store quite regularly and on occasion there has not been the stock we require available on the shelf the staff have been super helpful in getting it for us from your stores and we have never felt we were an inconvenience.
