Outstanding service and big shout out to Connor, Jack and Rik (amazing guys from the Edinburgh store). I was purchasing wooden flooring at the Dumfries store and needed to source another 46 packs. Phoned the Edinburgh store and Connor was a star - he swiftly allocated the stock for me allowing me time to drive up from Dumfries. The guys so kindly moved the packs in my van. Tremendous service from both stores and that's why I always head to Wickes - real old fashioned customer service! Thanks!

We have made an appointment to discuss our new kitchen project. Monika was very friendly and professional. We were offered coffee and little colouring book to keep our kids busy while discussing kitchen renovations. Monika walked us through all styles on offer to help us pick one that would suit our dream kitchen best. I would definitely recommend for anyone considering installing new kitchen.

Fantastic customer service today, in the Murrayfield Edinburgh branch. I went to look for tiles I’d seen on line, I wasn’t familiar with the store, a member of staff immediately approached to ask if they could help and took me to the tiles, after a look around the shop, I was met by the same gentleman (Bob the manager) who asked if I’d found what I was looking for, I said that I had and was getting a trolley, he instantly found a member of staff to find one, lift the tiles, take me through the checkout and put them into my car, fantastic staff, all very friendly, great energy and attitude, not what you would expect in a DIY store? I work in sales and I greatly appreciated the friendly, helpful staff, I actually went back in and bought paint where I would normally go to another DIY store and use my trade card… 20 minutes in store and a great shopping experience, in fact I’ve never written a review for a shop before but I spoke with 4 members of staff and they were all helpful and friendly

Ordered wall panelling online and was sent the wrong panels. A collection was arranged for return with a stated window of 7am to 7pm. I stayed in all day, only to receive a call at 4pm saying they would not be collecting and it would be another week before they would try again.

I contacted both the online team and the Edinburgh store, neither was willing to help despite the error being entirely theirs. I am now left storing incorrect items with no clear resolution.

The only part of this purchase that they managed was taking my money.

Visited the Edinburgh store today to pick up some things I needed, i'm frequently in the store. Today though I have to mention that I received exceptional service from Bob. Thank you for your help and service today.

Bob was a great help when I was in,in getting my trade pro card back up and working

I always use Wickes because they have trade size items available for non trade customers. I needed 10l of paint and they had it for a good price. Needed advice on mounting insulation and Bob was quick to find an easy solution for me. Very accessible as a wheelchair user too.

Kieran was very helpful and lifted my heavy products on to a trolley for me. Top class service.

DO NOT USE WICKES. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF! £10000 RENOVATION DIDNT LAST 6 MONTHS!

I purchased bathroom fittings and had renovation carried out by Wickes. They subcontracted the work to S&S joinery and home improvement to carry out the installation. Less than 6 months after installation I observed water damage and believed the shower screen had been ill fitted. I emailed Wickes and was ignored. I then found a significant leak and on removing the bath panel found extensive water damage. The bath had not been fitted correctly they used timber packing, some of which was split. Due to this the bath was not stabilised correctly, no bath clips were used.
Because the bath was not stabilised correctly the sealant was useless allowing excess water to leak through.

I contacted the warranty team sent them images and a report from an independent contractor who confirmed that the bath tub had been incorrectly installed.

The field manager refused the claim after speaking with the original contractor who failed to install it correctly and stated there was no issue with the workmanship.

I requested the field manager come and assess the damage in person or send an IMPARTIAL contractor out to assess the workmanship. He refused and insisted that the workmanship was not at fault only taking the word or the original installer without any further enquiry.

I have been unable to use the bath and shower and there is extensive mould and water damage as a result of the leak. My insurance wont cover the damage if caused by poor workmanship. The renovation cost almost £10,000 had not lasted 6 months, has caused damage to my home that Wickes are refusing to repair. PLEASE DO NOT USE WICKES!!!! I would hate for anyone else to end up in this situation.

Would not recommend. Expensive considering the quality. Don't trust the sales chat from Edinburgh branch

Balvindar, the sales man at Westfield Edinburgh was brilliant. Understood my amateurish drawing and set about designing a great kitchen. He came to my house and completed the drawings and set process in motion.

Up to this point,it's a five star.

Walked into Wickes,MAY 2024 ,and was the biggest mistake ever. MAY 2025 the nightmare ended.

This first joiner made our life hell and took weeks to make a hash of the job, followed by another joiner who was employed to "fix" his many previous disasters. This joiners quote to sort my problems was too high according to Wickes. A third joiner was employed, and thankfully did work in two days ,to a superb standard. Finally I had a kitchen. Then the refund department took forever to get payment to me.
I was informed first joiners services were no longered required, so rest assure ,at least one problem has gone. Not sure who in the customer care department are still around, but believe me, they were not blameless in this unfortunate event.

I heard every excuse going from first joiner as to why he couldn't turn up, go away early ,take so long etc. To call him a cowboy would be an insult to cowboys.
I have no issue with Wickes products and planning .On reflection,I would of sourced my own joiner.
Whats incomprehensible is Wickes employed this man, in full knowledge he had a history of sub standard work. Let this be a warning to you when deciding which company you use.

New store manager Bob was v helpful giving advice on what we would need for our project

Products were easy to find in store. Needed assistance with ordering and information about bathrooms which was provided by an extremely helpful member of staff named Morton. He was pleasant, friendly and knowledgeable and made us feel like valued customers. A credit to Wickes. Got most of what we needed. Very happy

Morton was absolutely brilliant !! Couldn’t have done enough for us when ordering our kitchen. So pleased with him.

Having a disability and navigating a large store can often be stressful. I would just like to praise the staff who went above and beyond today to assist me in my purchase and made the whole shopping experience very easy. The two staff members were extremely professional and it made such a difference that I wanted to comment. These days so many people complain but never take the time to compliment. Appreciate the help.

Store manager went out of his way to find a product for us. Very happy

Wickes use a courier service called city sprint
The delivery guy turned up rang the main door buzzer so I let him in he walked all the way up to my door to tell me my delivery was downstairs 10liter pot of paint I asked for him to bring it up he said no we dont do that I replied im disabled to which the reply was as he walked off I dont care I asked for his name he wouldn't give it to me so I had to leave a ausitc boy on his own to go downstairs and struggle upstairs due to my disability with it I contacted wickes and they said they would ring me before 4pm to which it never happened shocking customer service and shocking courier service

I don’t usually write reviews but I feel that I need to write this one in order to share my really positive experience this morning at Wickes in Edinburgh:
As I was browsing in store, I was asked by ‘ Bob’ who works there if I needed any help.
I have never been asked that before at Wickesu. He then proceeded to spend 15 minutes with me being extremely helpful. He was courteous & knowledgeable and gave me plenty of good advice. As I was leaving, I noticed that he had started being as helpful with another customer.
Excellent service and people’s skill- Bob.

Walked in to get a bits & pieces, Met bob the manager he got me a discount for setting up a trade account within mins, Was really much apperciated friendly staff class service happy customer. cheers
