Total breach of contract - Left with NO RUNNING WATER for weeks!
Absolute nightmare experience with a fully managed Wickes bathroom installation (nearly £8,000 contract). The approved installer completely failed to perform the work with reasonable care and skill.
We have been left with NO running water to our shower or sink for weeks. The installer completely omitted the mandatory "No More Leaks" waterproofing kit, built the partition stud wall completely crooked/out of square, and left our garage piled high with construction rubbish.
We lost all trust and explicitly told Wickes not to send him back. Their executive office offered a derisory £600 compensation package to "make our own arrangements," which doesn't even cover a fraction of what it costs to hire an independent contractor to rip out the defective plumbing, fix the wall, and safely complete the room.
Wickes has completely breached their contract and failed to resolve this. We have now been forced to escalate a Section 75 claim to the Financial Ombudsman against the finance provider (Novuna). Avoid Wickes installation at all costs!

After about 15 minutes I left the store as I felt uncomfortable. I've since looked online and found better prices so they have lost my business now.

I booked an appointment ahead of time, expecting a professional and organized experience. Instead, I was left waiting for 1.5 hours without any updates or communication from the staff. To make matters worse, after making me waste half my day sitting around, the store reached its closing time, and I was simply told I had to leave.
No apology, no attempt to make it right, and complete disrespect for my time. If you cannot honor your appointments, do not take them. Avoid this place if you value your time.

Had some last minute decorating going on in my home and needed a pot of Dulux paint. Saw the store had 1 left in stock and did a click & collect. Was ready in less than 10 mins. Great service and quick when i went to collect.

I've had a great experience at Wickes Edmonton. The staff are always friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to go the extra mile to help customers find what they need. Whether it's advice on a project or assistance locating products, the team is always approachable and helpful.
A special mention goes to Richard, who is consistently excellent. He's always on hand to help with a smile, offers useful advice, and makes sure customers get the support they need. His positive attitude and dedication to customer service really stand out and make a big difference to the overall experience.
It's clear that customer service is a priority at Wickes Edmonton, and that's one of the reasons I keep coming back. Highly recommended.

Avoid!!! I booked a design appointment online using their calendar. I wanted to order both a kitchen and a bathroom. I reserved time with them and reserved time also in my diary to prioritize this.
The appointment was first booked in for 18.00 on 5th June. It then suddenly got changed to 16.00. (*No problem, although unexpected?)
It then changed again and suddenly became booked for 15.30. Ok then, manageable, with organising the day around additional changes... In total the appointment time was changed 6 times! Finally, on the day itself I get a call 2 hours before that the person was not bothering to come at all.
Supposedly because "a colleague booked in with an in-store appointment". In which case, why have the online booking system!?
I give my word and book time to try to buy products, I believe that the least Wickes Edmonton can do is respect customers time?

Update the redelivery was booked in for today 29th May
I received the text last night delivery would be between 07-1300, received a call from Wickes at 08:30 apologising that they cannot fulfil the delivery today as they have run out of plaster boards and offered another delivery date, now the plasterers can’t come till mid June😬
But at least they called me this time to inform they wasn’t coming.

Worst delivery experience with the Edmonton branch. I arranged to stay home for a delivery of bark chippings and despite receiving confirmation of the delivery, it never arrived. I was given no notice that it would not be coming or any explanation why. I called the branch directly and arranged to stay home another day for it to be delivered as I was assured it would be.
No delivery again - I was told this time it was because the bags had broken! Again no attempt to call and let me know after waiting all day. No apologies offered at any point.
Frustrated with the process, I asked for a refund and was told this would be actioned. Unsurprisingly, nothing was done about this until I called customer service a week later.
Staff at this branch are incompetent and lazy. Avoid!

i found the design of the facilities and expansion to be very impressive and relaxing, the end of my experience was unfortunately overshowed by what felt were misleading and high pressure sale tactics.
during my consultation ,i was told that specific price could not be held because the promotion was ending immediataly .i was pressured to pay a desposit on the spot to secure the deal,which made me feel incredibly umcomfortable and rushed
however ,after leaving ,i noticed that the deal actually runs until 11 may .had i been givrn the speace to consider the offer without being pressured or told inaccurate information regarding the deadlibe ,i likely would have proceeded with the orderon my own term,instead the intraction felt manipulative and left me with poor impression of customer service .
i belived it is important for your team yo know that these hard sell tactics can turn a positive brand experience into nagative one .

Firstly I have always shopped in B&Q but now prefer Wickes as they have helpful staff and better prices.
I returned to the store and asked for Zoe who had previously helped me. Hannah kindly asked collegues on her headset and they said they would get back to her. She asked if she could help so I enquired about some paint which I could not find on the shelf.
Hannah was very helpful and knowledgeable so we came away with what we required.
She took us over to the till. Then mentioned no one had still got back to her about Zoe.
I look foward to hopefully seeing them both soon.
It is so refreshing, to have happy and
friendly staff in retail.
