Wickes - Hereford Avaliações 

I've had two lots of contact with Wickes Hereford over the past few weeks, once on click and collect and the other most recent time was online with delivery. Each time the people I dealt with exceeded my expectations, the first time was for some rainwater tubs and Jayden contacted me to say that one of the units in stock was missing a couple of items I may not need and that he could offer a reduction to reflect the missing parts. I didn't need them so I got a tub at a discount and the shop cleared a unit they couldn't sell normally, so win win!
Most recent time was for some plastering materials and I was rushing to get the online order in quickly for next day delivery. The morning the delivery was due my carpenter looked at my confirmation and pointed out I had ordered the wrong corner beading, I'd ordered for external render when I meant to order for internal plastering. The beads I ordered were 3m long, so I wouldn't be able to get them in the car to return them and it was courier delivery so I couldn't just send them back. I made a quick call to the branch and the order hadn't been collected so Maria removed the wrong beading and by doing a quick click and collect online, she was able to put the correct ones with my order - saved!!!
I hope neither Jayden or Maria get into trouble as a result of my saying this, in each case they did check with their boss who okayed things. Jes their Operations Manager deserves a pat on the back for giving them the freedom to do what they did, in each case they went beyond my normal expectations making me a happy customer. As an "influencer" I would recommend them to any of my friends and contacts as they clearly care about what they are doing and don't hide behind a faceless "the computer says no" approach which happens too many times in DIY sheds around the country.
Looking at a few of the other comments here about Wickes, it appears that the company does encourage their staff to try harder which is fantastic and makes the difference - well done Wickes and well done Jes, Jayden and especially Maria who saved me a whole lot of hassle - you are all my Heroes!

On arrival for our booked appointment for bathroom design, with Mandeep, we were made very welcome. Mandeep listened to our requirements whilst showing us options around the showroom. Mandeep then created the design remembering our ideas and likes / dislikes creating our design very quickly and efficiently.
There was no hard sell.
We were thoroughly impressed by her professionalism and the service Wickes offered. We look forward to the installation and seeing our ideas come to fruition

We’ve worked with Costas before and were very pleased with the quality of care and service so have returned to him even though he’s not local to us because he puts in 100% and ensures that we understand the whole process and to make sure he delivers a brilliant finish and product. Wickes are very lucky to have him and I hope that they appreciate what an asset he is to Wickes

We ordered online items were coming from Hereford store ,to say this was a nightmare is only the beginning, my delivery came at 745 pm ,it was damaged my cls timber was not on the van my £25 tin of gloss has been opened my brush set was damaged my plaster boards were damaged i called the store at 745 pm to ask whats going on no pick up of my call . I phoned at 7am the next morning the manager was not helpful and said cant do nothing until Monday, I said this is not good enough and I will be putting this to head office and social media ,she put the phone down on me ,I called back and was told she was upset because I shouted I never did ,yet another get out say im upset so my bosses dont tell me off ,its outrageous customer service, and if a manager gets upset because a customer isn't happy she shouldn't be a manager ,I will be calling head office once open and sending photos to them and whickes directors, this Hereford store is the worse ive ever experienced in over 43 in the building trade

Our en-suite bathroom upgrade from Wickes has been a great experience from start to finish. Mandeep Kaur, the designer, helped us to create a design which completely met our requirements. She was so professional at all times, and particularly friendly and helpful, we can't speak highly enough of her.
Our installer Dave Millward, is a very experienced and skilful worker, he never stopped working and no mess to tidy up at all - he did a fantastic job for us. Likewise the work done by electrician Luke James was excellent. We are really happy with our new upgraded en-suite bathroom - thank you!!
Overall the Wickes experience has been brilliant - with their continuous communications from the outset, deliveries of materials on-time and delivered with care, and follow up satisfaction call from Colin. We highly recommend Wickes.

Planning of the bathroom installation was easy, Eva was very helpful. Actual installation was a difficult one, old bath removed, many problems uncovered but Craig took them all in his stride and never complained.

i love Wickes - but i sent a review in to their own site at their request on 3 July. The product was Forest Garden Premium Fence Panels. These panels were a shabby construction. Not a fault of Wickes but i thought they may feedback to me

From our first visit to Wickes to look at kitchens Mandeep Kaur proved very helpful. She took time to make us aware of our choices and explain things clearly to us. She visited our home to make the design and listened to our ideas and offered her own. We then made 2 or 3 visits to Mandeep to discuss changes to the design and she was always very helpful and patient and willing to give time us time to think things over. During the installation Mandeep was always on hand to help us with queries and quickly solved any issues we had. Thank you Mandeep.

The kitchen was fitted by Michael Powell and, once again, a very experienced and skilful worker, he never stopped .. fantastic! Overall the Wickes experience, with their continuous communications from the outset has been really good.

Bought laminate flooring came back to get some more packs and in less than a week the price had gone up from £22 to £27:75 a pack it was still the same stock so it wasn’t if they had renewed the stock not happy

The kitchen designer Mandeep Kaur, created a very beautiful and functional kitchen. She gave sound advice and nothing was too much trouble. Mandeep has very good personal skills and makes sure you are fully conversant with the process of fitting in a new kitchen.
The kitchen fitter was Richard Sutherland who was very skilled at his job. Nothing was too much trouble and he overcame a series of challenges to create a wonderful kitchen.
He is both a grafter and a perfectionist, hence I have a wonderful kitchen and utility room.

The following review was posted in January 2026, Trustpilot sent me a link to provide additional information which I did. The post was then removed from the Trustpilot site. Since then no one has tried to to contact me, I still have the problem.

In 2023 I purchased a kitchen from Wickes, around 6 months ago I started to notice distortion on a panel next to the extractor hood. Sometime after that I started to see a rippling along the bottom edge of some of the cabinet doors. Whilst still covered by the warranty I contacted Wickes and received a call from Wickes customer services and explained the problem in more depth. As a result of that call I supplied pictures of the problems as requested. 2 Weeks later I was asked to supply more pictures which I did these were for the kitchen manufacturer to view. Shivani then E mailed me with the following;-
This issue appears to have been caused by moisture ingress whereby water from spillages, cleaning or steam has dripped down the unit and gathered at the bottom of the fascias, penetrated the surface and causing the core material to expand and the laminate to bubble and peel. This is not a manufacturer fault and is not covered by the guarantee. I contacted Shivani to express my concern that I had been sold a kitchen that was not fit for purpose, every kitchen generates steam and has spillages so I would expect the materials used to be able to stand up to the environment. Her response was that their decision is final and the case is closed. If I have to accept that the kitchen I have purchased from Wickes should not be exposed to steam or spillages it does not resolve the distorted panel (now split) next to the cooker hood (not rippling ) I have tried to continue the conversation with Shivani but I am informed that "The Ticket" is closed. Can someone help?

Engaged with Wickes, Hereford during of a process of obtaining kitchen design advice and quotes. I sought designs and quotes from 5 companies.

Whilst ultimately I did not place an order with Wickes, I wanted to place on record the excellent quality of service I received from the store's kitchen planner, Mandeep Kaur. Mandeep could not have been more professional, efficient & effective. Her design advice was spot on with reference to the brief. I would add that the choice and quality of units and colours was also excellent. Ultimately, it was the flat pack delivery rather than ready assembled units that counted against Wickes, and a keener price for similar units sourced from a competitor.
