Sam was an excellent design consultant. He listened to our needs and ideas for the kitchen and was a keto turn them into a reality. He remembered little details that mattered to us to make our design meeting specialty. He is an excellent and speedy communicator and I would recommend him to anyone

I was at the checkout with a tin of paint and Dennielle, who served me, said someone she knew had the same colour in their bedroom. She suggested I try the same contrasting colour they had also used as they ‘looked beautiful’ together. So I did! And Dennielle was right, my room looks fabulous, so thank you.

And nice to be met at the counter by such a nice friendly lady.

Brian at South Shields branch was very helpful & carried heavy bags of gravel & compost to my car.

Wickes South Shields Went for some advice about paint and colours/types, was served by Brian on both occasions, got very good advice and was very helpful, was very polite a credit to your company.

Received my click and collect order within 30 mins. Met Brian who helped me with my order and also helped me out to my car and took care when putting my order into my car. Excellent service from Brian. Would highly recommend South Shields.

Andrew who works in South Shields store was extremely helpful helping locate items and answering queries I had about paint products a very knowledgeable young man and great ambassador for the store .

I called into Wickes this morning, I couldn’t find what I needed, I was ready to leave when I seen Glen and asked for help. I explained what I wanted and he took me straight to it. He asked the measurements of my room to make sure I had the right amount. He explained how to fix the quadrant to ceiling/ wall. He asked if I needed adhesive and took me to the isle where it was. He was so helpful and explained everything to me about fixing it to the ceiling. So pleased I got help from Glen, very helpful and friendly. I will make Wickes in South Shields my first choice to shop in.

I rang up today due to doing click and collect online with money being taken from my bank and no confirmation email to see if the order had gone through on their end. I was asked the name it was under and if it could be under a different name….i typed my name in so why would it be a different one? I asked if the money would be taken from my account as it’s pending or if it would fall back into my bank to be told….it might come out of your bank it might not in which I asked what I would do next. I was told ring your bank. Couldn’t get me off the phone quick enough when all I wanted was some advice. Most unhelpful Tanya. Shame the product is out of stock in Sunderland who were most helpful with me last week and arranged a refund as the paint was on a missing pallet. They kept me up to date whereas Tanya sounded like she couldn’t give two hoots!

Over priced, understaffed!

However, Darren in the South Shields store was lovely. He was new but took the time to listen, understand and help me-a rare thing IMO.
Then, when I passed a comment about how helpful he was to the till staff, she made a joke, "aye, he has his usses!". She kinda sounded like she was putting him down so I told her how it makes a change to be able to find staff in this store to help me, let alone someone who was actually nice and genuinely went the extra mile to help. So, to stick it to her a bit I'm writing this review about Darren - the only helpful member of staff I have ever encountered at Wickes!! Keep up the great work and positive attitude be sure you continue to be one of the good folks.

We were looked after really well today in Wickes at South Shields. The team showed a lot of patience with our list of questions and need for help. They continued to smile and encourage us while we made our choices of garden gate and garden paint.
In particular Dawn was fabulous

1. Staff answer telephone promptly.
2. Young man on desk was extremely helpful with information on all the products I was looking for. He was also friendly and cheerful which made for a pleasant visit.
3. Store well organised, spacious and clean.

Since buying myself a house Wickes in South Shields Tyne & Wear has become like a second home to me. It's my No1 place to go to for paint, Wood, Nails etc. I've always found everyone to be so helpful and even going beyond to try and help me get what I'm after. I've always found Brian Rutter to be very polite, helpful always offering to help some more if needed. And he has always been a lovely gentleman to talk too as well. It just makes the whole trip to Wickes a more enjoyable experience.

I wanted a new lawnmower and a member of staff directed me to the right place. After my purchase I used a trolley to take the lawnmower to my car and another member of staff came over and loaded it into my car for me. First class service and pleasant and friendly staff

Glen and Brian very helpful staff members, good customer service nothing a problem, lifted heavy bags of compost for us into car. Thanks again.
