Update - despite the response from Wren, nothing further was heard from them.

Firstly, the delivery was a shambles. The promise of an 8am delivery, became a 4pm delivery by a contractor. Our installer lost a day's pay waiting for the delivery. Secondly, they sent one wrong cupboard because their design software could not cope with our actual requirement. The designer accepted this and told us not to worry. The final and most concerning factor is that they would not accept responsibility for their error and nobody would take ownership. This is such a shame because the quality of the kitchen is very high.

Kitchens are at a ok standards but if you decide to get a kitchen here. NEVER pay for fitting. Ours was 6k. All there fitters are private contractors. They paid the guy £699 put of the 6k. You can guess what the standard of fitting was like.

From the first visit in store to the completed kitchen was easy and enjoyable.

Very friendly, nothing was too much trouble, moved things out the way for us so that the delivery was quick and easy, would highly recommend Mitchell was great to deal with & explained the process clearly, Kieland was also very nice and they worked well as a team

Carla Nunes at your Colchester branch is simply brilliant! She was extremely patient and professional throughout the whole buying experience. Her communication throughout was outstanding and we couldn't be happier having chosen Wren as our kitchen provider.

Seff who has been dealing with my kitchen came round nothing to much trouble went through every detail to make sure that everything was correct and in place for fitting excellent service up to yet seff has made the process easy any queries he has dealt with personally. Staff in office have been great. Hopefully this will continue to the end of the contract.

Outstanding service from Wren Kitchens Colchester, and that is entirely thanks to my designer, Sef.
He went above and beyond at every stage he has been incredibly polite, highly knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about getting the best possible result. He took the time to fully understand my needs and worked tirelessly to design the perfect wardrobe layout for my space. He was never pushy when it came to deciding on the formation, instead giving me the time and space to make the right choice while offering expert guidance and reassurance throughout. Nothing was too much trouble, and the whole experience was completely stress-free.

I was so impressed with the level of service that I immediately recommended Sef to my mum and dad. They have since booked and purchased their own wardrobe with him and also had an extremely positive experience. That alone says everything about the quality of service he provides.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Wren and especially Sef to anyone. Thank you for all your help, I can’t wait to see the wardrobes finally fitted and bring the design to life!

I've just had a shocking experience with Wren in Colchester. Salesperson knowingly gave false assurances to get the sale over the line (relating to installation price being inclusive of plumbing and electrical work). I complained. Phone recording validates my complaint but store manager offered no remedy beyond 'you can cancel the order or proceed'. Never before had such shockingly bad customer care from any major company.

Designer came today spent a lot of hours going through every detail with me as I find it difficult to get to the showroom he brought the showroom to me very knowledgeable and helpful if the rest of my experience is this good I will not be disappointed. Thank you Sef from the Colchester branch for all your time and patience.😄

I would like to thank Trustpilot for helping me to get my kitchen problems sorted. I’ve been asking since May for help with some niggles I’d found. All with no respect. Today I am happy to say that GTW Kitchens from Weeley Essex came and finally fixed all my concerns. Without your help this would not have happened. Thank you Sue Lane.

I strongly advise caution before choosing Wren Kitchens. Initially, everything seemed smooth – the surveyor came out twice to measure, and I clearly explained there was a boiler and consumer unit in the cupboards. Despite this, Wren designed a sealed unit where the electrics were located – a major design flaw that any competent surveyor should have picked up.
When my fitter started the installation, this issue immediately came to light. Instead of offering support under the 28-day warranty, Wren dismissed responsibility. Customer services (Vanessa at Head Office) promised to liaise with my fitter but instead just sent a generic terms and conditions email. We had already rejected those T&Cs because they contained loopholes that left customers unprotected – exactly what has now happened.
I’ve spent £20,000 on this kitchen and now face extra costs to move the consumer unit, which Wren has flatly refused to contribute towards. This shows a complete lack of accountability for their surveyors’ mistakes.
Had I gone with Howdens, as my fitter originally recommended, this would have been identified at the design stage. Instead, I’ve been left out of pocket and extremely disappointed.
Wren may look appealing at first, but if issues arise, don’t expect them to stand by their work.

My elderly mother purchased a kitchen which is badly designed so as she is unable to use corners of cupboards, nowhere to put her cutlery and once her money was taken she was left with an unsatisfactory kitchen
She was left for nearly 2 weeks without water or cooking facilities and in this heatwave weather. It made her ill. I would definitely Not recommend this company

So at the Colchester retail park wren everything went very well all sorted.
No problem with the delivery at all
the contractor came out said we needed a new electric fuse box some extra plug sockets.
We asked if the gas safety certificate/check was going to be done after the work we had a strong yes and that makes sense when your unhooking a gas cooker and then re putting it in after.
Installation was quick we signed off the next day we noticed a bit of wall had no mastic but the other side did no problem easy to sort.
But the more we looked the more we found chunks of plaster missing off the wall around a socket a huge bit of wall that could of done with some plaster and a crack in the elbow joint of one of the boiler pipes.
We never got a certificate for the gas safety inspection we sent an email to the contractor asking if it had been done we have to this day heard nothing!!
Ive just had a gas inspection done and during it it was found that the cooker had not been re chained the chain was just hanging behind the cooker.
ITS A GAS OVEN HOW DANGEROUS CAN YOU GET
If the oven had fallen we would of had a gas leak or worse an explosion.
Honestly the kitchen units do look really nice the lay out is good but there is a lot to be desired

I have just had my wren kitchen installed and I have to share how pleased I am with the whole experience with ordering and delivery. I didn’t use a Wren fitter as I wanted someone to complete the whole kitchen including electrics, tiling etc.
Graham Johnson at the Tollgate store was absolutely excellent throughout the design process and responded to my queries via email promptly and courteously. The price matching of appliances made it very easy so I didn’t go to the stress of ordering individually.
The delivery drivers Connor and Lewis were absolutely brilliant and unloaded the kitchen efficiently and overcame challenges due to the height of my porch without grumble. The worktops were 3m in length which I hadn’t accounted for when checking the kitchen would fit. It was slightly odd that they couldn’t start scanning each piece of the kitchen until a certain time, a perverse incentive not to be early!
Communication has been excellent including delivery times.
The kitchen looks absolutely amazing, just like the rendered 3D images.
I won’t be installing a Kitchen or bathroom for a while but would definitely use Wren again

If I could give zero I would.
Would I recommend Wren. Absolutely not. My kitchen isn’t even finished being installed and the customer service received regarding issues is a concern. Even the manager at the showroom can’t seem to get through to customer service.
She has been the only one to listen to our concerns.
Please think very carefully about Wren, as the sales and design was good but the aftercare has been awful.
Still waiting for customer service to even acknowledge our issues. It’s been a far from happy experience with them.
Update - we have been contacted by customer services - eventually- even had to involve the Store manager again as none of the issues were addressed just confirming installation of worktops which we already knew about!
