Do not buy from this company…
I bought a pair of shoes from York fashion that looked far better quality on their website than in reality! They were too wide for me and made of cheap materials and so I wanted to send them back and get a full refund. Unfortunately I was told they would rather I didn’t do that as they don’t have an address in the UK and the only address I can send it to obviously at my own expense is China! Alternatively I was offered a partial refund of 15% which amounts to £5 and I can keep the shoes!! This is such a con! Please do not buy from this company…..website looks a lot better quality than they are!

Absolutely terrible
Absolutely terrible, my partner bought a shirt from them, the description said Denim, the shirt was some weird nylon material, nothing at all like the photo or the description of the item. So completely miss sold. Then they want to charge ‘admin fee’ and to pay for the return. He refused this and was offered 15% refund and he could keep the item. Of course he doesn’t want to keep it. The item received was not the item in the photo. He will be persuading a full refund and if he doesn’t get a satisfactory outcome he will be opening up a case with the Trading Standards Agency. It seems judging by many of these reviews, many people are receiving the same treatment. Absolutely disgusting customer service! And they seem to be getting away with it with many many customers!

Chinese tat posing as a UK clothing…
Chinese tat posing as a UK clothing store. They sent me 2 shirts, 100% Polyester, so thin you can see right through them, but also don't breath so I can't even wear them with a cotton unershirt. They offer returns so long as you are willing to pay for shiping back to China, customs and a 15% resocking fee! Don't get conned like I did.

Stay away from this company, awful experience
Stay away from this company. I ordered shoes and boots totalling £93, when I got them they looked cheap and nothing like the photos on their website. When I processed the return they informed me they were from China and to save ‘environmental cost’ I could receive a 15% refund or pay to return them myself! As a single parent, I needed the full amount returned so had to pay a further £20 to return the products to China. They were released from customs in China on 18th July and I have still not received any money back from them. Stay away! They never inform you that their products are from China before you buy them and their after sales customer service is non existent. My order was in April and it is now September
Well it’s October and despite promises of a refund in 5-7 days (3 weeks ago) and an apology that a ‘technical issue with the payment system’ has caused an ‘unexpected delay’ I STILL haven’t received my refund!

Poor quality goods, nothing like picture or description.
The returns process is appalling , even tho they have a London address in TW14. Insist on extortionate postal fees to back to China plus 15% restocking fee.

A little older and wiser
Did not know the sandals from York Fashion were being shipped from China (offices in Belgium) and they arrived too late to take on holiday. Tried to cancel but as they had been shipped (and were stuck in customs) was told it was too late to do so. Upon my return the sandals were not as shown on the website but not withstanding as I had agreed to the T&C’s I was responsible for all return costs to China (prohibitive at £35) in order to obtain a refund of £60. My advice would be to avoid but at least be aware of the returns policy when you agree the T&C’s.
Further to the below they are now quoting 30 days have passed since delivery even though they did not reply to my final communication. No improvement from York Fashion and though they supplied sandals are were different to those advertised I am still liable for all return shipping costs. Beware

Feel totally ripped off.
Like other people I feel totally scammed. The dress I ordered was of poor, polyester material, not linen, as described on the Website. Photos on their Webpage give the impression of a high quality fashion Company, when they are in fact operating out of a warehouse in China. It is not worth the cost and hassle of returning the item.

Shoes very poor quality
Shoes very poor quality, small size and not as described in advert, despite contracting customer services numerous times I am not able to return the items without their approval so no refund possible. Be careful China retailer.
Don’t be fooled that customers service appear to want to help. I tried and still have no resolution.

This company is totally misleading in pretending to be English. I ordered a dress which took several weeks to arrive and was of terrible quality. The man made fabric was the sort that would generate a lot of static. The returns policy is fraudulent, offering either a minuscule refund or the opportunity to pay for postage back to source in China and a refund minus 15% .

Total scam.
Took 12 days to arrive, by which time I didn’t need the sandals any longer. They were also of such poor quality that I wouldn’t have worn them anyway. Requested a refund but was told I’d incur the return costs, not usually an issue, however the warehouse is based in Asia (surprise surprise) AND an additional 15% restock cost would be charged to me, whatever the heck that means. That would mean the cost to me would be about half the value of the sandals I ordered. Wish I’d checked the return policy before I ordered.

This website is a complete scam
This website is a complete scam. Avoid. Do not go anywhere near it.
I waited 4 weeks for a pair of fisherman sandals. The ‘premium leather’ advertised was 100% plastic. The sole, the uppers - everything was plastic. And the design differed markedly from what was on the website. The heel of the sandals I received was much higher, and the stitching a pale shadow of how it appeared in the website photo. The overall look was cheap, cheap, cheap and very uncomfortable to wear.
The telephone for customer support is disconnected, and the replies to my emails from a robotic ‘Melissa’ are clearly automated.
As requested I sent in photos that clearly show the difference between what is on the website and what I received and the differences were very quickly (too quickly) dismissed, again pointing to an AI operated system.
To be reimbursed I need to send the sandals back to China, at my expense and before they send me what I paid for the sandals back they will deduct a handling fee. York Fashion is a scandal, and should be shut down immediately.
