Once upon a time the Bargain Boutique actually offered bargains but that’s now become folklore. You will seriously find used shirts priced higher than if you bought them brand new at Macy’s. I’m not kidding. It’s actually a huge bummer. Spot some old funky binoculars? Guess what? The pricing person has them at $80 bucks! Need a used toaster & don’t want to drive Ace Hardware? Guess what? You could have saved yourself $10 bucks going to Ace Hardware and buying one new! I’m not kidding. If you like getting mugged in back alleys than Bargain Boutique is the place for you! See some worn semi-cool boots? Turn them over — What the F? You guessed it! $80 bucks. Hmmm... Well, surely this old paperback book could make a neat gift - Think again be itch! The old Shysters want $10 bucks for it. Yeah, but the original price was $10.50! Ohhh that’s fair! NOT! Surely this faded old ripped windbreaker must be a bargain! Nope! $25 clams sucker! Hmmm... That’s funny... I saw one new at REI for $27... Guess what? They don’t give a ship! Also, it’s 5 pm and they close in half an hour and you’re already getting shooed out of the place. Ohhh hey here’s a cool vintage rocking chair - And its all yours for the tune of $500 bucks! There is no upside to the place. It operates like a hardcore pawn shop that aims to squeeze the top price. However, it is amusing to see the prices so it can be fun to go in there for a laugh but by the time you walk out, you might find yourself a little pooped off. You can pick up just about anything - Fork, spoon, rusted cheese grater, old oven mitt - Doesn’t matter what it is. They have JACKED the price. You won’t sneak anything past them. They make it a goal for you not to receive a bargain. “Ohhh here’s an egg beater.... $6.75 is a good price for a used egg beater right? I mean at T&C they have a new one $8.75... “ Oops I have a feeling if they read this they will be jacking up the used egg beaters now! Sorry!
It’s common knowledge on the island now that the bargain boutique lost its charm when it moved from its original location on Winslow way and changed owners and became a big janky scam zone. No bargains to be found there but why not grift off the tourist? Ironically they get all of the product donated so nobody understands why they became so greedy and chump. Maybe they like to gauge folks and be super janky.

Wouldnt bother.. waited over a week for my order when i finally got in touch was told it was out of stock and i had had a refund,,, Not contacted at all no refund. So if i hadnt contacted them i wouldnt of known anything. Still waiting for refund now

Avoid this company is a big scam very bad fabric not what it is when it arrives very tacky also cant get intouch I have since message them but they have blocked me thank god it was only one item I got so people big SCAM AVOID

Saw this site on Facebook and was very taken in with some of the styles, especially one item. Ordering was quick and easy. Received two items (my favourite not included). Both items fit ok and were true to size but poor quality. There is no contact number for Customer Services, so I emailed (to arrange a return and to find out when I could expect my 3rd item).
Attempted to get in touch many times via email AND Messenger but messages are never responded to, apart from an automatic obligatory reply saying they are ‘very busy and to expect a reply within 24 hrs’ 3 wks later, I’m still waiting....
£25.00 down and have a dress I’ll probably never wear but I’ve learnt a valuable lesson.... Don’t buy from companies you don’t know!
I will be contacting Trading Standards.

Order arrived totally unwearable, returned the next day. Eventually told is was a sale item so no refund could be given. Clearly a Chinese company with a Nottingham distribution. Awful company with awful clothes. Will be contacting trading standards for what it's worth

I have had the same problem ordered items that were all very poor quality and nothing like what was on the website. Sent back for refund. No contact to say items had got back to them. Had to contact them to check they had recieved my return to be told that sale items could only be credited to your account! I sent a number of emails that were either ignored or replyed to with same message.

Please never order from this site! I ordered a few items the start of December, although the items I ordered were actually nice (for the price i paid) none of them fit me right, so i sent them straight back. They contacted me to say I could only have a credit note because they were sale items.... there WHOLE website is on SALE! Even there new in stock... so this is how they get around not giving you a refund.
10th January and they have been ignoring my emails/Facebook messages since before Christmas. To top it off the 'credit note' they have applied to my account is not even the full amount i am owed.
Please avoid! I have contacted Trading Standards.

Orderd 2 dresses very tacky and poor quality. Sent them back over a month ago and not received money back. Sent a few messages and been ignored whilst admin continue to post memes on Facebook. Awful service. Trading standards are getting contacted!!!

I ordered a dress which when it arrived looked nothing like the picture and was very poor quality. I immediately returned the dress which was also faulty. I have sent several messages and am still waiting for a response and refund.
My advice would be never to order from this company. I will of course update this review if and when I finally get a response .

Hi to everyone on this post. I would recommend that you don’t buy anything from this site. I don’t know about anyone else but I have had a very bad experience and will be making everyone aware as much as I can until my issue is resolved as this company are just ignoring my inbox messages and comment as courteous as I have been with them. I ordered a total of 6 dresses over two weeks ago which on their site advises would be delivered in 7 working days which we have definitely passed now. I only received one dress out of the 6. They were quick to take over £100 out of my account and I only receive one dress after waiting for them to reply since last week ignoring my messages but yet replying to my mums message regarding another query. They finally respond to me to say they packaged all dresses together in one package which is a complete lie. It was just one dress in a thin flimsy package. All in all I don’t recommend them if u want an easy reliable service then this is not the place. Thank you for taking your time to read this.

I would give 0 Stars if that was an option! If your thinking of ordering from here dont!! Look at the comments people leaving on their facebook posts from people having the same problem. Received item, looked nothing like the photo, returned item and now they are ignoring my emails, 22 days and still no refund!!!
