Customer service is such a nightmare
Customer service is such a nightmare, they are just taking the piss. I tried to submit a request to reduce my credit amount as I need this for my re-finance. They not only lied about contacting me, but also came up with some arbitrary reason to close the complaint I lodged by saying they didn’t receive the ‘ requested information ‘ that was asked 2 hours prior closing the complaint. They didn’t process my request claiming I didnt get back to them. No call, or text or email was received from my end before I got an email claiming they couldn’t process the request due to the inability to contact me. I don’t know what happened in their customer service department, or there are just people taking the piss regarding customer’s request in the department. I really just hope it is not their moto to deal with customers’ requests. The person who closed the complaint was named Amirah. Just be mindful, if you ever submit a complaint and further information is asked , you have 2 hours to respond before they mark the complaint as closed.

Great but limited.
It’s great use it every fortnight i don’t pay $40 a month like it says to I pay it back in full as soon as I get paid so if my limit is $350 I use that and pay it back in full but never understood I was was classed as not being able to be to be accepted for zip money or the other higher limits. But other then that if you need help for subscriptions and little things it’s perfect!

I had a zip account
I had a zip account, never missed a payment and they suddenly closed my account. Could not get an explanation from them. Just paid it off and closed accounts for good

Devastating and dehumanising…
Devastating and dehumanising experience. When I first signed up back in 2019 I was only jobseeker, only getting very little a fortnight. After a few years of being a loyal customer I had to go on hardship payments as I was having a tough time. After I had paid my balance I contacted hoping to get the lock off of both of my accounts, instead they were closed. I remember I have contacted several times for an explanation but I never truly got one. This month I decided to contact again to see if I was eligible to reopen my accounts. I was made to reapply only to be denied. I don’t understand how it was ok for a 19 year old without a job to be able to have 2 open accounts and now that I have a stable income, that is a lot more than when I first signed up, I can’t use Zip. Interesting terms and conditions.
I only tried to use Zip again as I saw it as my only way to pay for medical assessments.

I like the idea of having back up money…
I like the idea of having back up money as sometimes the builder I work for can take 4 to 5 weeks to pay so zip gets me through then I pay it back as quick as possible and haven’t paid any interest in over 2 years. The only shitty thing is the rewards system is very ordinary and in 9 years have never received a red cent in bonuses of rewards. I think I only pay the admin fee off $9.95 which is fine. I hardly read statements so maybe I should check and see if there’s any hidden costs. But overall ZIP has been great for me.

I love zip because it helps me a lot in budgeting my finances even with a very tight budget due to allowing customers to have the flexibility of paying instalment monthly compared to Afterpay that requires you to pay fortnightly. That is why even though Afterpay gave me $4,000 to use I can only use the amount that I can afford to pay fortnightly. Its my habit to only borrow money from credit card that I can afford to pay without much interest so I always refer zip pay to other people even though I don’t get credit from zip pay for it. Even though I am sad that zip pay reduced the maximum amount I can borrow to only $1,500. That is why I only give 4 star

I got zip plus high interest even on small amounts
I got zip plus and they only offer $1000 interest free..before it used to be $1500 and $10 monthly fee which is ok if you have even $20 balance..at the end of month but interest for over $1000 not worth while others credit cards giving 6 months int free even $20,000 ... so not good anymore.. wont recommend
