Shocking service DPD

I ordered a cage for my parrot and did not have the option of having it delivered to a local drop off due to it's size.
I paid extra for it to be delivered on a Sunday due to working Monday to Friday. An hour before the confirmation message, I got a message saying there was a problem and the delivery would be on Monday. I called DPD on the Monday morning early and the man said he would try and sort it out and call me back in 2 hours. Weeks later I'm still waiting for his call.
I then got an email stating that the delivery would take place the following Sunday. Once again, an hour before the confirmation I get another message stating there was a problem with the delivery and it would be delivered on Monday. I could not change the delivery address because the system said it was out of the delivery area - which was next door?! Fortunately my neighbour took the delivery but the box was in such a bad state, it looked like it had been mauled by a lion.
Shocking service.
