(RESOLVED) Disappointed Loyal Customer - The 5.0 Ultra is a massive step backwards.
I’ve been a loyal Manscaped user for a long time, owning both the Weed Whacker and The Handyman (both of which are great). However, the Lawn Mower 5.0 Ultra is a complete failure. Despite the over £100 price tag, it struggles to cut hair that my £25 Philips OneBlade handles in one pass.
Even worse than the product is the customer service. I reached out as a brand advocate to find a solution (even suggesting an exchange for a different model), but was repeatedly given scripted 'go back to the retailer' responses.
If you're a fan of their other tools, stay away from the 5.0 Ultra—it’s not fit for purpose and the brand doesn't stand behind its premium products anymore. Will be taking this to Boots for a formal Consumer Rights Act return.
UPDATE: Manscaped replied below asking me to contact them, but I have already been in an email chain with their support team for hours. They have repeatedly refused to help and told me to go to Boots. Their public reply here is performative and does not match their private refusal to help a loyal customer.
UPDATE 2: After escalating the issue and sharing my experience here, Manscaped management has reached out and offered a one-time goodwill replacement. While I am still disappointed that it took this much effort and a public review to get a resolution for a premium product, I appreciate the brand finally stepping up to make things right. I am currently waiting for the replacement to ship and will update further once the matter is fully resolved.
FINAL UPDATE: Manscaped have followed through on their offer and a replacement unit is now in transit via Royal Mail. While the initial support experience was difficult, I am pleased that the management team eventually stepped in to provide a solution. I appreciate them standing behind their brand.
