The water pressure for some of the taps was very low, Charlie had an initial check and suspected an internal leak but then did a thorough investigation, found and fixed the problem. Very professional and friendly service, would definitely recommend.

Woulf give it 0 stars if possible. I had a leaking pan connector on the toilet everytime it flushed it would leak so I gave the description of my issue to 0800 saying I just need to get it replaced, I know what the issue is, this toilet has been in place for 6 or 7 years and this issue has started, likely seal related. They charged £100 not for the call-out, but for the hour to be there and try and fix it while they are there.

The plumber (Lee) attended and took a 2 minute look at it while I was working from home, for some reason he also opened the airing cupboard where the boiler is located and instead of an easy fix recommendation to just replace the toilet pan connector thats attached to the back of the toilet, he tells me theres 2 options: 1. Get a new toilet or 2. Replace the soil pipe in the wall going to the outside which would cost over £1,000.

He went to report it to his office and make quotes, he takes a look at the boiler flue on the outside, from the ground probably 18ft above and comes back and tells me the boiler flue is corroding and he needs to check the boiler, I tell him no thanks, the flue I can see better from my bedroom window angle and the markings have been there for as long as I can remember, not getting any worse, looks like building material wiped on it, if it was corroding it would not stay completely in tact for over 6 years, looking exactly the same, no holes or anything. Anyway their plumber comes back in and puts a "do not use sticker" mind you he was only called for the pan connector but apparently he is a boiler engineer too and without checking the issue fully, just on assumption, he does this with the boiler even after I declined he take a look. I was honestly disappointed with his toilet recommendation so I declined anything further of course. He sat in his van for the rest of the hour.

The issue is what happens next, he sends me the boiler report, saying gas could be smelt, flue is corroded not installed properly and if assessed could be placed with "at risk" sticker, then on the separate notice report he states he detected an escpe of gas and therefore disconnected the supply and turned the boiler off, this did not happen, no gas could be smelt and he did not turn the boiler off as I did not think he was accurate from looking ground-view up from a not clear angle that the boiler flue was corroded.

Heres what I did to resolve the leaking pan connector issue: bought a new pan connector for £18 online and replaced the old one which hand lost the rubber seals, did it myslef, and the leak has stopped since, no issues.

The boiler: got a different professional gas safe eningeer from a different company to look at the boiler and flue. no flue corrosion or issues found with it, they confirmed its likely building material and NO GAS SMELL reported, the only issue they found was a leaking aav. The 0800 Homefix plumber LIED. Absolute scam, lost £100 for them to BS me. Thought I would write this review now, a few months late but accurate.

My response to the companys reply of my review:
Notice they don't address how I stopped the toilet leak by myself by buying a part for £18, while theirs advised replacing the toilet or over a thousands of pound to redo the waste pipe in the wall which has existed since the 1990s.
This company who didnt even carry out a boiler service like my own contractor did afterwards - as previously stated I found 0800s contractor just looking for unnecessary, high costing fantasy repairs to do - but 0800s engineer just looked at the external flue on the 1st floor wall outside, said he detected a gas leak and turned off the gas (didnt happen as the boiler was still on), them saying the contractor I used from checkatrade who actually done a boiler service check, no leaks, no flue issues, and looked at the flue from angles the engineer 0800 sent did not and for them to say they ignored warning signs is speaking BS and everyone else must be wrong and only 0800 homefix are right?!
Those guys must have a gas leak happening at the office writing such responses, high off something.

Jim quoted me for the trace and repair for a bayhroom leak quickly and efficiently. Jim returned the next day yo complete the work. No problems, very friendly, polite and efficient. Would highly recommend.

Really swift efficient service (rang one day, here the next). Fixed my toilet which had an internal leak (slow trickle down the back of the pan). Replaced old internal workings of the toilet and temperamental push button which kept falling off. My toilet is as good as new now, Really friendly and cheery plumber.

What a company and the staff they have are amazing! We had the privilege of Haydn today and what a star he was! Friendly, prompt, professional and straight into it! Hard working, informative and grateful for his work and resolving the issues. Great guy and great reliable company! Thank you.
