Acer Laptops 

I recently bought a new Acer Aspire 3 from Harvey Norman less than 3 months ago . On a sticker on the laptop it’s says Faster Wireless Connection . The WiFi has worked about 5% of the time I’ve had the machine .Ethernet works after some effort. I bought laptop for mobility not to be chained to my modem .
I got advice on there community chat , but it was near on unless .
Example you need to up date your drivers , you need to do this etc.
But they all miss the point I bought this as a new machine I expected it to work straight out of the box with no problems and all I got was a a laptop they hasn’t work right since the day I bought it . If I could get my money back and forget I ever heard of Acer . This machine is junk . If you bought a mobile phone and it couldn’t connect to a network it’s useless . This laptop is the same I can’t use it on the go it can only be use tethered to a modem.

Een aantal jaren geleden 2 Acers laptops gekocht ter vervanging van de pc. Een groot drama. Traag in opstarten. Duurt tussen de 5 en 10 minuten wil je een beetje soepel kunnen werken. Verder traag in verwerking van gegevens. En als de Acer een update download wordt ie nog trager. Als je een melding krijgt dat dat ding daar mee bezig is, oké, dan ga je even een bakkie doen. Maar hij meldt niks. Dat apparaat heeft het vreselijk druk en jij als gebruiker schiet niet op. Allerlei instellingen van dat extra werk - schijfcontrole en dat soort zaken - helpt ook al niet.
Een Acer laptop aanschaffen? Nooit meer!

Bought my 11 year this laptop, 3 days after the warranty expired it stopped working, I had to pay £60 to Acer for it to be returned and checked. They said the motherboard had broken and they wanted £1800 to repair it. This £600 more than I paid for it 12months before. I appealed to them but they refused to repair it for free. Then they emailed me to state it was repaired and coming back to me, my son was over the moon. However, when it arrived it was still broken, so mean and cruel. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM

Acer Swift 1: mouse pad stopped working days outside of warranty period - took this one on the chin as a plug-in mouse sorted the problem.
Then however the left hinge came adrift with little bits of plastic occasionally dropping onto my lap - this is where the charging port is so the plug has to be at a jaunty angle for charging to be effective . . . much needed as the battery life has diminished to an hour or so.
Another family member has the same issue with the screen hinge

bad quality with cheaper price. if you have more budget, buy other brand

I brought a brand new Acer laptop while on holiday in Brazil it’s only 2 months old! The screen jumps and shudders the Acer team in NZ/AUS told me they can’t do anything because I have brought this in Brazil!
I can’t even get ahold of Acer Brazil and I’m on the other side of the world! What a piece of crap and $2000 gone down the drain! ACER IS ONE COMPANY AND SHOULD HELP REGARDLESS OF WHERE I AM! HORRENDOUS don’t buy!

I made the huge mistake of buying an Acer Aspire and regretted it ever since. I have never used such a slow, unreliable piece of utter garbage that is not fit for purpose. The best advice I can give anyone is DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BUY AN ACER. NEVER. EVER. The best advise I can give the company is to close down and allow its staff to try something they would be better qualified to do. Flipping burgers maybe?

Bought an Acer Swift 3 late last year. Touchpad keeps coming off. I have tried many times to register the laptop but the website keeps telling me 'oops' et. I have tried to contact Acer by email and phone with no luck. Finally registered, but no help available. The retailer I bought the laptop from (EuroPC) is doing their best to help, we shall see what comes of it. Laptop looks and seems good, but build quality is poor.

Acer nitro i5 gaming laptop via alternate korter dan een jaar terug gekocht. USB poorten laten los. Aantal keren thuis gebleven om laptop te laten ophalen. Er kwam echter niemand. Uiteindelijk is laptop met TE veel inzet van mij, opgehaald. Een paar weken later,...ik heb de laptop nog steeds niet. Na weer informeren van mijn kant blijkt dat Acer vind dat ik de usb poorten heb stuk gemaakt. Beetje raar verhaal. Maar als ik de usb poorten überhaupt heb geforceerd dan mag ik verwachten dat het niet stuk gaat. Het zijn onderdelen die intensief gebruikt worden en deze horen niet binnen een jaar stuk te gaan. Daarnaast heb ik computers staan van meer dan 10 jaar oud waarvan de usb poorten die ook intensief zijn gebruikt nog steeds doen. Dat het product niet goed is dat kan ik mij voorstellen. Het kan een fabrieksfout zijn. Maar dat de klantenservice probeert de schuld op mij af te schuiven vind ik onacceptabel. Om die reden krijgt Acer een -1 ster van mij

Right after the one year warranty stopped working all kind of issues started to developed. My laptop is almost £800, it's just bumper to bumper. Stay away.

Dreadful kit. DON'T BUY. Spent some £800 on laptop and software package in December 2022. Camera never worked. Microphone only intermittently. Have had to return i to Currys for repair. Don't they check these things. Was completely deceived i to buying it. DO NOT REPEAT MY MISTAKE.

Bought new Acer Swift 3 and worked ok for for about 1 year. The problems started...
1. It started to randomly shut down. Poor cooling. CPU overheating, maybe.
2. Keyboard, some keys just stopped working. I use a USB keyboard so not over used.
3. Mouse pad buttons stopped working. I use a USB mouse, so not over used.
4. Screen stated to flicker however, this has stopped.
5. USB ports connect intermittently.
6. Boot has slowed dramatically.

I had a cheap Acer prior to this Acer Swift 3 and it also failed prematurely. I didn't want another Acer however, it died during the pandemic and I didn't have a great choice at the time. Acer will no longer get my money. Acer you have just lost a customer to the completion. Smart move...

I bought a new Acer Aspire 5 last summer having researched and concluded this was the best for me. Within a month I had to send it back for new speakers and to change the noisy fan.
The speakers are not fit for purpose. I had to turn up to 100% to hear, and then not not good enough for ZOOM, youtube etc. Wearing my hearing aids meant that the fan sounded like the runway at Gatwick. Then the speakers blew. Requested better speakers but only the rubbish ones fit. Now I use an external speaker and have to cart that around with me. I feel thay should have offered me another laptop with better speakers ... but no. The repair process took weeks as their chap was busy .... can't think why ...

Always some issues with my laptop, today it's a black screen. Nothing shows. Off course you ask support, but it's always 'reset it, reinstall it!' blabla. Just don't sell this crap if it doesn' work

Habe ein Laptop am 01.07.2022 Acer Laptop Acer Aspire 3 für 1.019,00 Euro gekauft. Garantiert von Acer das ich nach de kauf 128,00 Euro seitens Acer bekomme. Nach 14 E-Mail und einschreiben per Brief bekam ich weder die Gutschrift noch eine Antwort. Leider ist die Enttäuschung groß. Hätte ich auf die Bewertungen gleich reagiert.

Bought a laptop 5 years ago. Second time i have to send to repair. This time, after 2 months with my laptop and an approved offer to repair my Machine, Acer contacted me claiming they cant fix and Will send me back a broken laptop. (?)

na iets meer dan 1 jaar, is de batterij duur ineens zeer snel gedaald. Na het kijken van een video van 1,5 uur is het batterij percentage soms wel met 40% gedaald! mijn oude iphone 5 heeft nog een betere batterij duur. Meerdere malen contact gehad met de service desk. Zij geven aan dat ik na 1 jaar geen garantie meer heb mijn mijn batterij. Ze gaan er dus van uit dat het 'normaal' is dat iedereen zijn laptop batterij ieder jaar vervangt. Dat terwijl dit een laptop is van meer dan 600 euro en misschien 14 maanden oud. Eerste en laatste keer dat ik met Acer te maken wil hebben.

Acer service desk is zwaar waardeloos. Na anderhalf jaar valt de acer laptop uit. Een herinstallatie door de servicedesk lijkt de oplossing, maar helaas na een paar weken weer dezelfde crash. De service desk zegt dat ze met voorrang de laptop zullen nakijken, maar dat duurt een zestal weken. Uiteindelijk kregen we een bericht dat er vocht is geconstateerd (natuurlijk, gooi het op die toer) vergezeld door wat nietszeggende foto's. De laptop is (naar blijkt) naar Spanje gestuurd (pardon??) en kan alleen worden gezien na betaling van 60 euro (padon??). De medewerker gaat er doodleuk van uit dat we de laptop niet missen, weigert elke vorm van medewerking en hangt op. Nog een keer gebeld en weer een andere medewerkster gesproken maar ook die is totaal inflexibel. Het meest rare aan dit verhaal, is dat zij het blijkbaar normaal vinden om je laptop naar Spanje te sturen, te kapen. Je krijgt geen kans om je eigen laptop in te zien tenzij je 60 euro betaalt, of wanneer je een laptop van 550 euro laat maken voor 550 euro (clowns). Ik vind het niet meer dan normaal dat een bedrijf trots genoeg is om gedurende de garantieperiode service te leveren zonder extra kosten. Dat je altijd je eigen laptop weer kan ophalen / of minimaal zien (niet alleen op nuetszeggende foto's). Acer is gewoon een piratenpartij, onacceptabel!
