had a bit of trouble setting up a valheim server wwith mods. after getting in contact with an admin very quickly, we worked together for about an hour to get everything sorted. great experience!

trouble in viking town
After extensive troubleshooting on my end, I wasn't able to get my valheim server to be joinable. However it immediately worked when I used gportal.
However they did immediately refund me when I raised a ticket, so 3/5 stars.
I suspect a valheim server might work with them if you're not loading an existing world.
To the company I recommend posting a video tutorial on loading an existing valheim world with your service. Because even though it showed as running, the IP wasn't joinable.

Hi Ben,
I am sorry you had issues with our service. If you had reached out to our support we would have been able to get you up and running in a couple minutes (even with your own world as most customer use their own worlds). We saw this issue with the first releases prior to the Join IP addition to the server browser. The trick to find the server and join was to use your game port +1 (aka the query port) as we noted in our documentation and our FAQ bot. This method is no longer necessary since the developers released the Join IP inside the game itself.
Really nice service (Hi from France)
I really like their client services, i had issues with my fresh terraria server and someone resolve it by hand in 3 minutes.
He also helped me to configure it.
Playing from France i was at 30 ping with german servers, this is quite great.
The console side is also intuitive and easy to use. Thank you a lot for your services, i'll use them for a long time if you keep being that nice.

I was a bit confused on how certain things worked at first. However, their live chat customer support was extremely helpful in every way. They helped me understand the process even going step by step with me. I would recommend this service to everyone.

Great Support
Support walked me through a connectivity issue to the console page of my server. I ended up forgetting that I was on a VPN connection that was blocking scripts.
Very patient and helpful with the troubleshooting process.

The system cancelled my free trial after I made a mistake trying to upgrade my server and the staff got it back running within 10 minutes. Also gave me a free month! Definitely deserves over 5 stars!

I found AleForge while searching for options for a modded terraria server. Hands down the best server hosting site i've seen. When I was unsure about something in the server's files someone would be there to help me. Usually in 30 seconds. I was blown away by the customer service, and highly recommend AleForge to anyone who wants to try their hand at running a server, wether you are new to server hosting or expierenced.
