Another great trip on the books

As always, I was treated so well on The American Legend for the American Revolution Cruise. I enjoyed the meals, the entertainment and the excursions. The Captain made us as comfortable as possible during a short period of rough seas. Every detail was appreciated.

Only disappointment was unripe fruit…

Only disappointment was unripe fruit served at every meal. Stick with the berries if you can't get ripe melons, pineapples.

Great time on the Mississippi!

Great time! Awesome staff and our entire experience was top notch! Ports were interesting but not much too see at some stops. Still a wonderful trip.

Ship was well maintained and had enough…

Ship was well maintained and had enough staff onboard to handle a full trip. Waiters in Dining Room were excellent. Cabin attendants did an excellent job on a daily basis and the staff was always ready to help with any issues or questions.

Ups and downs

Restaurant chef needs to rethink menu, Caesar salad with anchovies is gross, almost all roasted veggies were tough, grilled salmon not done in middle was wet and mushy, didn’t order sushi. Buffet on deck 4 was always very good. Pillows were completely flat awful, mattress was too soft and lumpy. Brady needs to be more careful in giving distances to walk. Pig roast he said at door, was 1/2 block away when exited bus then down steps or ramp then down across commons area to pig roast that was very disappointing. Natchez carriage ride was absolutely awesome! Miranda was great, Abbie in restaurant was great, young man on 4 and lady on 4 were great, went out of their way to be helpful.

Overall you do a great job

Overall you do a great job with some bumps along the way but the pluses and minuses outweigh each other.
Our embarkation process this morning as warmed was an adventure. You had folks standing in the cold wind while attempting to board. It would appear cabins could be preassigned to buses which would seem more organized. Just a thought.
The staff is outstanding from all aspects of the trip from start to finish.

The red white and blue party —a great idea — you have limited oysters which are gone quickly with no timely refills by the time the refills arrive the crowd is gone — I’m sure a waste of food in the end.

Our total experience was Great

Our total experience was Great! All employees were very friendly and helpful. If possible, the menu should have more choices. I heard one guest at another table say that” fish or sea food took up too much of the menu.

Only 1 gab bar in shower of handicap accessible room

The crew was fantastic and the deck hands and bus drivers were terrific in helping get on and off as I have mobility issue after having a stroke.
One issue: only 1 gab bar in shower and no arms on shower stool.

Great cruise

Great cruise! It was like a big family. Lots of fun and laughter. Many interesting and informative excursions as well as on board talks. The rooms were well appointed and spacious. Food was outstanding as was the entertainment. Highly recommend.

Everything was excellent

Everything was excellent, except for the hotel in Charleston. There was no where to walk, because the hotel was surrounded by highways. In addition, I called 3 times for their hotel shuttle; they said it would arrive soon, they were on their way & it would take no more than 10 minutes. They never came, so we found another way to get to the hotel.

This was my 1st cruise ever

This was my 1st cruise ever. Not knowing what to expect.. I think everyone went above and beyond to make my trip the best. And they did. So much so that we booked another cruise with them.

Not our Favorite

This was not our favorite of the 3 ACL cruises we have taken. The foodwasn't as good as we remembered. The excursions were kind of disappointing. We didn't particularly enjoy the entertainment; only the first two nights but that's probably because we aren't jazz, blues or bluegrass fans. The magician was funny but did too many card tricks

This was my 1st American cruise 🛳 …

This was my 1st American cruise 🛳 line river cruise. I absolutely loved it every thing . Smallness ...the crew was absolutely wonderful . I am comparing this to viking river cruise down misssippi river with Viking 1 yr ago .... new river ship , I would give viking experience 3 American cruise line river boat 10 !! Viking nickle and dime you for everything ... when I got off the ship I had another bill . Everything was extra. This ship American cruise is family owned and american company . Viking is European company. Viking doesn't own misssippi boat they lease it . I am all about American brand for our country.
