The tiny room touted as Deluxe with balcony was false, plain and simple. Balcony, yes, deluxe - hardly. The staff though kind, gracious and solicitous at all times were just off point, a lot. Mostly a timing problem. This was a new season with a new crew and perhaps they just didn't click yet. American river cruising is not new to us. This was a bit of an expensive trip and was not worth it to us.

The first thing was the size of the ship. With 187 people on board, it was enough to mingle and get to know a few of your fellow passengers without ever feeling crowded.
Second was the staff. They were all wonderful, willing to bend over backwards to make every day memorable.
It goes without saying that the meals were excellent. An unexpected treat was the hors d’oeuvres served at happy hour, like bacon-wrapped scallops and lobster tails. My complements to the chef.

Very relaxing and enjoyable

Our Mississippi River cruise, from New Orleans to Memphis, on the American Cruise Lines Serenade was wonderful. Every member of the crew, from our Cruise Director, Abigail, to each and every member of the dining stuff (particularly Emily), to Chris in the deck cafe, all welcomed us with smiles and were very eager to meet our every need and request. We met a number of interesting fellow travelers along the way and the boat is small enough to get to know people easily. The shore excursions were enjoyable. We will definitely be booking another ACL cruise in the future.

The crew was wonderful.Elisha was so kind and very helpful. The food was great. We really had a fabulous time.

The ports of call were great along with the excursions. The whole ship crew were great. Everyone was friendly and always had a smile and willing to answer questions. Everything was great as I expressed in a previous survey.
However, cancelations on excursions should be automatic. Instead, we had to contact American Cruise Lines after the trip to request a refund.

Great cruise

All of our expectations were met. We experienced a wonderful time. My wife eats gluten free. Would like to see more gluten free products for lunch and dinner.

the crew was the best ever my previous cruise no so good.

I would have given you 5 stars except for the last night's meal. We both ordered the prime rib. The people that ordered the Surf and Turf had more beef than we did. We couldn't have had more than 2 ounces. I normally don't eat potatoes, but had to as I had little meat.

The staff, ship and the food were outstanding. We had a great time.

Excellent staff! The boat was beautiful- appreciated the laundry facility. Food was superb. Entertainment top notch. I hope to cruise with you again.
