This company took my money last July…

This company took my money last July for extended warranty. I never had a problem until I needed to use the warranty. When I attempted to file a claim, my dealer told me that only one item would be covered. I tried to get someone on the phone to show them that the item that was denied should be covered based on the coverage list I viewed before purchasing the warranty. No one was willing to listen. I eventually told them to cancel the coverage and they said they would refund the prorated difference. To this day I haven't received a check. I called, and called, and called, about the check until they eventually started hanging up on me. 3 months later and I still haven't received my check for over $2644.00. I chose this company because they were referred to me by consumer affairs. Because of that I thought how I could I have been so wrong. I decided to do some digging after the fact, only to find out they are one of the absolute worse out there. It appears I will never get this money back and I have just been added to a long line of victims who have been taken by this company. STAY AWAY. RUN FOR YOUR LIFE. YOU CANNOT TRUST A WORD THAT THEY SAY. THEY SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSY.

BAD EXPERENCE

I was referred to this company by consumer affair and after filling out my info. on line. I got a call from a man named Colin Green who assured me that the plan they sell is accepted by the repair shop that I use. $3000 was drawn from my account, the plan is rejected by my repair shop and I'm in court to get my money back. scam scam, scam.

SCAM!! My parents paid $2,500 for a car warranty and the very next day the warranty was cancelled. I’ve tried to reach out to them, but have yet to hear back. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM YOU WILL LOSE YOUR MONEY!!!

I bought this warranty in May of 2021 I thought they were legitimate because consumer affairs recommended them so I went with it I dealt with Chase salesman he was very professional and I fell for it since then I put in a claim they said oh don't worry about it we'll pay $200 of it we'll get all your mechanics information and we'll make sure he gets paid so I paid the 280 and they were going to pay $200 of it but they never did my mechanic told me he never received anything from them so then I sold the car February 7th of 2022 I sent them the bill of sales so I could get a refund on the 2-year warranty that I had bought from them I've got nothing but a runaround we sent you a check three times the check is in the mail the first time I called I forget who I talk to it could have been Zach could have been Billy g could have been Colin green who knows but anyway he said let me tell you how this works first off we're taking off the 480 off the 2000 then 250 and you had it for 10 months so we're taking off $800 well for one thing they never paid till 480 to anybody I can understand having to pay the $250 for the cancellation fee I only had the warranty for 9 months and they told me they were charging me $80 a month well nine times eight to my knowledge is $720 but I agree just to get 550 back I've yet to see anything they don't answer emails they don't answer phone if they do they hang up on me and when I call back they send me to the voicemail which they say is full you cannot leave a voicemail I've let a lot of my friends know not to fall for this company America first Auto protection plan we'll just take your money as they did mine but I'm not through I'll write a bad review every day and I've let consumer affairs know that they dropped the ball with this company so if I was you really do your research don't let someone talk you into it the first time that you talk to them on the phone consumer affair hooked me up with them and gave them my number and they called me and I fell for it but I will keep trying to get my money back I have a friend who is a lawyer and he's going to check into all of it but please beware of this company

I purchased this platinum protection…

I purchased this platinum protection from American First Auto Protect in January 2021 for my Nissan Titan XD. I received no printed contract or anything in the mail after purchase. OK, maybe that's how they save money, fine. (RED FLAG I missed.) So I had to have my truck towed to the dealer (July), I emailed them about this and after a few emails ** said they would cover the towing, then ** said only one hundred dollars.
I have still not seen that money. So the dealer completed the repairs, and after a few more emails and phone calls, they agreed to cover the ECU for $690 (Sept) so I thought everything was good to go. The dealer calls me and said they haven't been paid. So more emails and phone calls. They said they sent them a check. (NOT) last week (DEC) after many heated phone calls they gave a bogus card number to the dealer. The dealer still wants their money, so it looks like I am out the $1900+ and the $690 I will have to pay the dealer. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY.

Have 2 warranties from this company…

Have 2 warranties from this company that ipaid 5000 for. Car went in shop end of December that cost 3000 and they said 1570 was covered. They were to pay garage but “accidentally” sent it to me. To date I have not received it I call daily to be told it’s been sent. They hang up on me. Threaten to block me, and do not return calls or emails
I have reported them to BBB. Atty general, FTC, yelp, and Channel 4
I have been reading a lot of same complaints. We need to unite and get all our monies back

Fraud Alert Operation

Everyone who reads this please know that I am a policy owner from American First Auto Protect. They are apparently are conducting business in an unlawful manor. All the Scam alerts below are correct. I have also spoken with Billy and Chase about my claim. They also told me and the Dealership where my vehicle is being repaired that they were sending an inspection adjuster to the dealership to review the claim. Adjuster never showed two times. I have large repair charge around $7,400. I have provided all the proof and evidence of receipts which are paid for the repairs. Billy and Chase stopped answering the calls and just hung up on me several times. These are bad people. I am in the state of California and we have tough consumer laws. I am in process of filing a legal suite for damages. I have also contact the California department of insurance which is working with me on the case against American First Auto Protect. I will update as I get further information. But stay away from this company and the people involved. I think they are going to get in some big trouble on this one.

Corrupt Organization Theives

SCAM!! ALERT!!!
This company/ gang of organized theft, never answers phone, never leaves a message, never calls back, never texts back , never pays out on promises, never pays bills, lies lies lies all the time, I don't know how they find there way home...when I bought this policy they said they were in Fla. now they say they are in NY...they even said I was talking to Chad they he said his name was Teddy...???? that is only the start of dealing with this dishonest business that took my money 3K and is planning on giving me nothing. Oct./ 21, service on my RV was approved by AFAP so service center fixed fan and TV antenna..when it came time to pay ,,with 5 attempts, email, phone etc. to contact AFAP,, Service repair center was put on hold for over a half hour+ and could hear everyone at lunch laughing...they never did pay and told service center the check was mailed to customer on 12/11/21. I am the customer to only experience 3 weeks of the same treatment of neglect , avoid, lies lies lies, and more lies evasion , put on hold to listen to there Happy Birthday Music???? for 25 min. ok??. I have not gotten paid and either has the service center for 3 months now with no explanation just more lies , check is in the mail,to draw out ...I would not leave a star at all if I didn't have to to post...see who laughs last.. I know there are good and bad post here but there are many "bad"posts and BBB has said they've had exceedingly amount of complaints on this company in a very very short time I guess they only pick on the weak or who they think will swallow the lies like myself who is uninformed on insurance policies ,retired, widowed and 69 years old.. shame on them for all who have been taken advantage of

Fraudulent Fake Auto Extended Warranty

I had bought and Audi Q5 2011 and didn't buy service contract from dealer but shopped on my own. Read reviews.. consumer affairs etc.. and called a few places. American First sounded legitimate and answered all my questions. It was $3K - with a Veteran discount - for Platinum coverage. Great. Paid. In August.. engine light kept coming on. Took to Audi dealer.. needed new fuel pump and regulator. About $1500 in repairs. Called American First.. connected them with Audi. Audi struggled mightily getting anything from them. Sent repair quote but couldn't get American First to agree. American said they were sending an inspector. Never happened 2 weeks went buy and I had rental car. Said they would cover up to $75 a day for rental. Nothing. Audi said I would have to pay and get reimbursed. American First agreed and I did. I never got reimbursed. So I paid them $3K for service contract and then $2K out of pocket - nothing. No billing department. No other folks. Always sounds like the same guy. Endless run around. I then cancelled my contract in November. Colin said fine - billing would reach out. Never did. I asked for confirmation of my cancellation request - nothing. I asked for refund - check is in the mail. Nothing. 2 months later - nothing and now no response from them. Clearly a fraudulent business that takes payment and then does not honor service contract purchased.

This is a PSA about this company. On 8/16/21, I was searching for a reputable insurance company for my two vehicles. I have previously already been ripped off by another company named “Delta Auto”, so I was cautious when searching for another. I found this company and I swear that when they answered the phone that it was the same person that picked up on the previous company that ripped me off. I continued the conversation with questions asking how long this company has been in business, “Cory” answered with 14 years (LIE) I also asked do you insure Maserati “Cory” said that exotic cars were their specialty. What is the deductible I asked after he replied with no deductible and after 30 days if engine light turns on take it in with no diagnostic fee no nothing I then asked for the price of the policy, $6000!!!! Here we go again I thought, I then said that is too high of a price plus on the other car he priced it an additional $2000. Since I was buying for two cars, he said he would “talk to his boss” same bull as last time but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. He came back and we agreed on both cars $6000 total. Fast forward 30+ days with multiple car problems I call “Cory” according to the policy I was short 180 miles to cover my car I needed 1000 new miles total. “Cory” then tells me to take it in anyway and that as long as I pay for the diagnostic fee “Cory” would then help pay the bill. Their intentions were not to pay anything at all but after multiple phone calls and arguments they settled for a window switch. The repair total cost was $4800 that switch we settled on was $1300 of the total $4800. Since I was short on the mileage, I agreed to paying the rest off. But I am supposed to receive a check for $1300 since October 3rd (Current Date 12/22). After numerous calls arguments, even being hung up on constantly, and being put on hold for hours at a time as well as my car being held for 4 days at Maserati dealership then another week being sent to a mechanic shop waiting for confirmation of payment & approval from the insurance company, nothing was done. I decided to then just pay all of the $4800 out of pocket. A week later engine light pops up again, I take it to the shop again another out of pocket diagnostics and when I received the news of what was the problem the bill was $2700. 4-5 days of waiting for approval “Cory or Zach” (same person using different names) only approved $1680 when it should be fully covered by them. I chew them out about why it isn’t being fully covered over multiple phone calls for the same reasons. There is no professionalism, no customer service. I would have family members and staff of my own business listening in on the conversation and they couldn’t believe that this was an actual conversation between consumer and supplier. I decided to offer them a deal send me my money back - $1680 and I will go away. They agreed they said they will send me a check for $4320 within.30 days as of Nov 7 -21. I waited it out again, called them nothing happening the same bull that has been going on. At one time they said that the check was sent Dec.7 LIES. These guys won’t even tell you their names when asked. Today Dec 22 -21, 4 MONTHS OF HELL and more to come. After this review my next step was to contact my attorney and I spoke to him already he said bring in the paperwork and we will proceed in a lawsuit I can’t let these guy go ripping people off like they did me. I don’t write reviews ever, but this was just over the top and I needed to write this so other people don’t get screwed over like me.

All in all these guys are SCAMMERS PLEASE BE AWARE

I bought a warrantee from these people and quickly, same day in fact, cancelled it. The cost was $8700. They refunded $5000 quickly and then proceeded to make excuses that the rest of the refund was already done to my card or that it got rejected and this went on for a couple of weeks. I finally told them I would dispute it with AMEX and the rep said "Fine and we'll fight the dispute". Really?!?!!?! I had all the evidence in writing, all the BS excuses they gave for the not forthcoming refund. Needless to say AMEX Ruled in my favor and I got the remaining $3700 back. Really shady way to operate. Probably hoping I'd forget all about it and 30 days later I'd be stuck with no recourse.

Lord knows what their claims process must be.

They are the best third-party auto…

They are the best third-party auto warranty company in the market for comprehensive coverage, especially for exotic vehicles. I got coverage for my Porsche 911 this week. Very happy with the sign-up process. Robert Taylor is a great salesman.

Today signed up with them for the Platinum warranty plan for my daughter's Ford edge. In the past, I tried few other warranty companies and was not very happy with their service. So this time did some research and finally went with American First Auto. I was very impressed with the sign-up process. plan options and pricing is great.

SCAM, LIARS, THIEVERY! OH MY!!!

I purchased their platinum plan in June 2021. My Lexus check engine light came on and I took it to Lexus dealership. Coolant was going into the engine. NEVER did it overheat or anything. I took it in asap. I was told I bought bumper to bumper coverage for anything mechanical or electrical. My car has been at the dealership for two weeks. Whoever answers the phones are completely unprofessional and narcissistic. I keep getting different reasons why they are denying the claim. First they tried to say I have a faulty odometer..... no I drive a lot. Then I'm told that they don't cover lubricated moving parts..... what engine in a vehicle isn't full of lubricated moving parts??? Then I'm told I'll get a call Monday and will be walked through the process to get this fixed..... crickets..... now I'm being told it's not covered cause it's a head gasket issue. Lexus said it needs a new engine. This business is 100% a scam. They may help for some minor part but if you really get into to trouble they run and come up with excuse after excuse. They told Lexus they were sending an adjuster in a few days..... didn't send anyone and didn't inform anyone of anything. Stay far away from this thieving company.

The AC unit went bad in my wife's Maserati. I went to the local dealership & they did accept America First Auto Warranty. Dealership replaced the Ac Unit and my warranty plan entirely covered the cost. Saved me out-of-pocket expenses. Highly recommend their auto warranty plans.
